הִנֵּה׀ אַתָּה שָׁמַעְתָּ אֲשֶׁר עָשׂוּ מַלְכֵי אַשּׁוּר לְכָל-הָאֲרָצוֹת לְהַחֲרִימָם וְאַתָּה תִּנָּצֵֽל׃
Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by destroying them utterly; and shalt thou be delivered?
אַיֵּה מֶֽלֶךְ-חֲמָת וּמֶלֶךְ אַרְפָּד וּמֶלֶךְ לָעִיר סְפַרְוָיִם הֵנַע וְעִוָּֽה׃
Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arphad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah?
אָמְנָם יְהוָה הֶחֱרִיבוּ מַלְכֵי אַשּׁוּר אֶת-כָּל-הָאֲרָצוֹת וְאֶת-אַרְצָֽם׃
Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations, and their countries,
וַיִּשְׁלַח יְשַֽׁעְיָהוּ בֶן-אָמוֹץ אֶל-חִזְקִיָּהוּ לֵאמֹר כֹּֽה-אָמַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר הִתְפַּלַּלְתָּ אֵלַי אֶל-סַנְחֵרִיב מֶלֶךְ אַשּֽׁוּר׃
Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria:
לָכֵן כֹּֽה-אָמַר יְהוָה אֶל-מֶלֶךְ אַשּׁוּר לֹא יָבוֹא אֶל-הָעִיר הַזֹּאת וְלֹֽא-יוֹרֶה שָׁם חֵץ וְלֹֽא-יְקַדְּמֶנָּה מָגֵן וְלֹֽא-יִשְׁפֹּךְ עֳלֶיהָ סֹלְלָֽה׃
Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor cast a bank against it.
וַיִּסַּע וַיֵּלֶךְ וַיָּשָׁב סַנְחֵרִיב מֶֽלֶךְ-אַשּׁוּר וַיֵּשֶׁב בְּנִֽינְוֵֽה׃
So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.
וּמִכַּף מֶֽלֶךְ-אַשּׁוּר אַצִּילְךָ וְאֵת הָעִיר הַזֹּאת וְגַנּוֹתִי עַל-הָעִיר הַזֹּֽאת׃
And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.
מִכְתָּב לְחִזְקִיָּהוּ מֶֽלֶךְ-יְהוּדָה בַּחֲלֹתוֹ וַיְחִי מֵחָלְיֽוֹ׃
The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness:
בָּעֵת הַהִיא שָׁלַח מְרֹדַךְ בַּלְאֲדָן בֶּֽן-בַּלְאֲדָן מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל סְפָרִים וּמִנְחָה אֶל-חִזְקִיָּהוּ וַיִּשְׁמַע כִּי חָלָה וַֽיֶּחֱזָֽק׃
At that time Merodach-baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered.
וַיָּבֹא יְשַׁעְיָהוּ הַנָּבִיא אֶל-הַמֶּלֶךְ חִזְקִיָּהוּ וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו מָה אָמְרוּ׀ הָאֲנָשִׁים הָאֵלֶּה וּמֵאַיִן יָבֹאוּ אֵלֶיךָ וַיֹּאמֶר חִזְקִיָּהוּ מֵאֶרֶץ רְחוֹקָה בָּאוּ אֵלַי מִבָּבֶֽל׃
Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.
וּמִבָּנֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר יֵצְאוּ מִמְּךָ אֲשֶׁר תּוֹלִיד יִקָּחוּ וְהָיוּ סָרִיסִים בְּהֵיכַל מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶֽל׃
And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
מִי הֵעִיר מִמִּזְרָח צֶדֶק יִקְרָאֵהוּ לְרַגְלוֹ יִתֵּן לְפָנָיו גּוֹיִם וּמְלָכִים יַרְדְּ יִתֵּן כֶּֽעָפָר חַרְבּוֹ כְּקַשׁ נִדָּף קַשְׁתּֽוֹ׃
Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.
קָרְבוּ רִֽיבְכֶם יֹאמַר יְהוָה הַגִּישׁוּ עֲצֻמוֹתֵיכֶם יֹאמַר מֶלֶךְ יַעֲקֹֽב׃
Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.
אֲנִי יְהוָה קְדֽוֹשְׁכֶם בּוֹרֵא יִשְׂרָאֵל מַלְכְּכֶֽם׃
I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.
כֹּֽה-אָמַר יְהוָה מֶֽלֶךְ-יִשְׂרָאֵל וְגֹאֲלוֹ יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת אֲנִי רִאשׁוֹן וַאֲנִי אַחֲרוֹן וּמִבַּלְעָדַי אֵין אֱלֹהִֽים׃
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
כֹּה-אָמַר יְהוָה לִמְשִׁיחוֹ לְכוֹרֶשׁ אֲשֶׁר-הֶחֱזַקְתִּי בִֽימִינוֹ לְרַד-לְפָנָיו גּוֹיִם וּמָתְנֵי מְלָכִים אֲפַתֵּחַ לִפְתֹּחַ לְפָנָיו דְּלָתַיִם וּשְׁעָרִים לֹא יִסָּגֵֽרוּ׃
Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
כֹּה אָֽמַר-יְהוָה גֹּאֵל יִשְׂרָאֵל קְדוֹשׁוֹ לִבְזֹה-נֶפֶשׁ לִמְתָעֵֽב גּוֹי לְעֶבֶד מֹשְׁלִים מְלָכִים יִרְאוּ וָקָמוּ שָׂרִים וְיִֽשְׁתַּחֲוּוּ לְמַעַן יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר נֶאֱמָן קְדֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּבְחָרֶֽךָּ׃
Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.
וְהָיוּ מְלָכִים אֹֽמְנַיִךְ וְשָׂרֽוֹתֵיהֶם מֵינִיקֹתַיִךְ אַפַּיִם אֶרֶץ יִשְׁתַּחֲווּ לָךְ וַעֲפַר רַגְלַיִךְ יְלַחֵכוּ וְיָדַעַתְּ כִּֽי-אֲנִי יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא-יֵבֹשׁוּ קוָֹֽי׃
And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
כֵּן יַזֶּה גּוֹיִם רַבִּים עָלָיו יִקְפְּצוּ מְלָכִים פִּיהֶם כִּי אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא-סֻפַּר לָהֶם רָאוּ וַאֲשֶׁר לֹֽא-שָׁמְעוּ הִתְבּוֹנָֽנוּ׃
So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.
וַתָּשֻׁרִי לַמֶּלֶךְ בַּשֶּׁמֶן וַתַּרְבִּי רִקֻּחָיִךְ וַתְּשַׁלְּחִי צִרַיִךְ עַד-מֵרָחֹק וַתַּשְׁפִּילִי עַד-שְׁאֽוֹל׃
And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase thyself even unto hell.
וְהָלְכוּ גוֹיִם לְאוֹרֵךְ וּמְלָכִים לְנֹגַהּ זַרְחֵֽךְ׃
And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
וּבָנוּ בְנֵֽי-נֵכָר חֹמֹתַיִךְ וּמַלְכֵיהֶם יְשָׁרְתוּנֶךְ כִּי בְקִצְפִּי הִכִּיתִיךְ וּבִרְצוֹנִי רִֽחַמְתִּֽיךְ׃
And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
וּפִתְּחוּ שְׁעָרַיִךְ תָּמִיד יוֹמָם וָלַיְלָה לֹא יִסָּגֵרוּ לְהָבִיא אֵלַיִךְ חֵיל גּוֹיִם וּמַלְכֵיהֶם נְהוּגִֽים׃
Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
וְיָנַקְתְּ חֲלֵב גּוֹיִם וְשֹׁד מְלָכִים תִּינָקִי וְיָדַעַתְּ כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה מֽוֹשִׁיעֵךְ וְגֹאֲלֵךְ אֲבִיר יַעֲקֹֽב׃
Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
וְרָאוּ גוֹיִם צִדְקֵךְ וְכָל-מְלָכִים כְּבוֹדֵךְ וְקֹרָא לָךְ שֵׁם חָדָשׁ אֲשֶׁר פִּי יְהוָה יִקֳּבֶֽנּוּ׃
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.
אֲשֶׁר הָיָה דְבַר-יְהוָה אֵלָיו בִּימֵי יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ בֶן-אָמוֹן מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה בִּשְׁלֹשׁ-עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה לְמָלְכֽוֹ׃
To whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.
וַיְהִי בִּימֵי יְהוֹיָקִים בֶּן-יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה עַד-תֹּם עַשְׁתֵּי עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה לְצִדְקִיָּהוּ בֶן-יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה עַד-גְּלוֹת יְרוּשָׁלִַם בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַחֲמִישִֽׁי׃
It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.
וַאֲנִי הִנֵּה נְתַתִּיךָ הַיּוֹם לְעִיר מִבְצָר וּלְעַמּוּד בַּרְזֶל וּלְחֹמוֹת נְחֹשֶׁת עַל-כָּל-הָאָרֶץ לְמַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה לְשָׂרֶיהָ לְכֹהֲנֶיהָ וּלְעַם הָאָֽרֶץ׃
For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.
כְּבֹשֶׁת גַּנָּב כִּי יִמָּצֵא כֵּן הֹבִישׁוּ בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל הֵמָּה מַלְכֵיהֶם שָֽׂרֵיהֶם וְכֹהֲנֵיהֶם וּנְבִיאֵיהֶֽם׃
As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets,
וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֵלַי בִּימֵי יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ הַמֶּלֶךְ הֲֽרָאִיתָ אֲשֶׁר עָשְׂתָה מְשֻׁבָה יִשְׂרָאֵל הֹלְכָה הִיא עַל-כָּל-הַר גָּבֹהַּ וְאֶל-תַּחַת כָּל-עֵץ רַעֲנָן וַתִּזְנִי-שָֽׁם׃
The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.
וְהָיָה בַיּוֹם-הַהוּא נְאֻם-יְהוָה יֹאבַד לֵב-הַמֶּלֶךְ וְלֵב הַשָּׂרִים וְנָשַׁמּוּ הַכֹּהֲנִים וְהַנְּבִאִים יִתְמָֽהוּ׃
And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.
בָּעֵת הַהִיא נְאֻם-יְהוָה (ויציאו) יוֹצִיאוּ אֶת-עַצְמוֹת מַלְכֵֽי-יְהוּדָה וְאֶת-עַצְמוֹת-שָׂרָיו וְאֶת-עַצְמוֹת הַכֹּהֲנִים וְאֵת׀ עַצְמוֹת הַנְּבִיאִים וְאֵת עַצְמוֹת יוֹשְׁבֵֽי-יְרוּשָׁלִָם מִקִּבְרֵיהֶֽם׃
At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:
הִנֵּה-קוֹל שַֽׁוְעַת בַּת-עַמִּי מֵאֶרֶץ מַרְחַקִּים הַֽיהוָה אֵין בְּצִיּוֹן אִם-מַלְכָּהּ אֵין בָּהּ מַדּוּעַ הִכְעִסוּנִי בִּפְסִלֵיהֶם בְּהַבְלֵי נֵכָֽר׃
Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?
מִי לֹא יִֽרָאֲךָ מֶלֶךְ הַגּוֹיִם כִּי לְךָ יָאָתָה כִּי בְכָל-חַכְמֵי הַגּוֹיִם וּבְכָל-מַלְכוּתָם מֵאֵין כָּמֽוֹךָ׃
Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
וַֽיהוָה אֱלֹהִים אֱמֶת הֽוּא-אֱלֹהִים חַיִּים וּמֶלֶךְ עוֹלָם מִקִּצְפּוֹ תִּרְעַשׁ הָאָרֶץ וְלֹֽא-יָכִלוּ גוֹיִם זַעְמֽוֹ׃
But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵיהֶם כֹּֽה-אָמַר יְהוָה הִנְנִי מְמַלֵּא אֶת-כָּל-יֹשְׁבֵי הָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת וְאֶת-הַמְּלָכִים הַיֹּשְׁבִים לְדָוִד עַל-כִּסְאוֹ וְאֶת-הַכֹּהֲנִים וְאֶת-הַנְּבִיאִים וְאֵת כָּל-יֹשְׁבֵי יְרוּשָׁלִָם שִׁכָּרֽוֹן׃
Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David's throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.
אֱמֹר לַמֶּלֶךְ וְלַגְּבִירָה הַשְׁפִּילוּ שֵׁבוּ כִּי יָרַד מַרְאֲשׁוֹתֵיכֶם עֲטֶרֶת תִּֽפְאַרְתְּכֶֽם׃
Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory.
וּנְתַתִּים (לזועה) לְזַֽעֲוָה לְכֹל מַמְלְכוֹת הָאָרֶץ בִּגְלַל מְנַשֶּׁה בֶן-יְחִזְקִיָּהוּ מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה עַל אֲשֶׁר-עָשָׂה בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
כֹּה-אָמַר יְהוָה אֵלַי הָלֹךְ וְעָֽמַדְתָּ בְּשַׁעַר בְּנֵֽי-(עם) הָעָם אֲשֶׁר יָבֹאוּ בוֹ מַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה וַאֲשֶׁר יֵצְאוּ בוֹ וּבְכֹל שַׁעֲרֵי יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
Thus said the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;
וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵיהֶם שִׁמְעוּ דְבַר-יְהוָה מַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה וְכָל-יְהוּדָה וְכֹל יֹשְׁבֵי יְרוּשָׁלִָם הַבָּאִים בַּשְּׁעָרִים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃
And say unto them, Hear ye the word of the LORD, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:
וּבָאוּ בְשַׁעֲרֵי הָעִיר הַזֹּאת מְלָכִים׀ וְשָׂרִים יֹשְׁבִים עַל-כִּסֵּא דָוִד רֹכְבִים׀ בָּרֶכֶב וּבַסּוּסִים הֵמָּה וְשָׂרֵיהֶם אִישׁ יְהוּדָה וְיֹשְׁבֵי יְרוּשָׁלִָם וְיָשְׁבָה הָֽעִיר-הַזֹּאת לְעוֹלָֽם׃
Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.
וְאָֽמַרְתָּ שִׁמְעוּ דְבַר-יְהוָה מַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה וְיֹשְׁבֵי יְרֽוּשָׁלִָם כֹּֽה-אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הִנְנִי מֵבִיא רָעָה עַל-הַמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר כָּל-שֹׁמְעָהּ תִּצַּלְנָה אָזְנָֽיו׃
And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.
יַעַן׀ אֲשֶׁר עֲזָבֻנִי וַֽיְנַכְּרוּ אֶת-הַמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה וַיְקַטְּרוּ-בוֹ לֵאלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא-יְדָעוּם הֵמָּה וַאֲבֽוֹתֵיהֶם וּמַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה וּמָֽלְאוּ אֶת-הַמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה דַּם נְקִיִּֽם׃
Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;
וְהָיוּ בָּתֵּי יְרוּשָׁלִַם וּבָתֵּי מַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה כִּמְקוֹם הַתֹּפֶת הַטְּמֵאִים לְכֹל הַבָּתִּים אֲשֶׁר קִטְּרוּ עַל-גַּגֹּֽתֵיהֶם לְכֹל צְבָא הַשָּׁמַיִם וְהַסֵּךְ נְסָכִים לֵאלֹהִים אֲחֵרִֽים׃
And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.
כִּי כֹה אָמַר יְהוָה הִנְנִי נֹתֶנְךָ לְמָגוֹר לְךָ וּלְכָל-אֹהֲבֶיךָ וְנָֽפְלוּ בְּחֶרֶב אֹיְבֵיהֶם וְעֵינֶיךָ רֹאוֹת וְאֶת-כָּל-יְהוּדָה אֶתֵּן בְּיַד מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל וְהִגְלָם בָּבֶלָה וְהִכָּם בֶּחָֽרֶב׃
For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.
וְנָתַתִּי אֶת-כָּל-חֹסֶן הָעִיר הַזֹּאת וְאֶת-כָּל-יְגִיעָהּ וְאֶת-כָּל-יְקָרָהּ וְאֵת כָּל-אוֹצְרוֹת מַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה אֶתֵּן בְּיַד אֹֽיְבֵיהֶם וּבְזָזוּם וּלְקָחוּם וֶהֱבִיאוּם בָּבֶֽלָה׃
Moreover I will deliver all the strength of this city, and all the labours thereof, and all the precious things thereof, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon.
הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר-הָיָה אֶֽל-יִרְמְיָהוּ מֵאֵת יְהוָה בִּשְׁלֹחַ אֵלָיו הַמֶּלֶךְ צִדְקִיָּהוּ אֶת-פַּשְׁחוּר בֶּן-מַלְכִּיָּה וְאֶת-צְפַנְיָה בֶן-מַעֲשֵׂיָה הַכֹּהֵן לֵאמֹֽר׃
The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying,
דְּרָשׁ-נָא בַעֲדֵנוּ אֶת-יְהוָה כִּי נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל נִלְחָם עָלֵינוּ אוּלַי יַעֲשֶׂה יְהוָה אוֹתָנוּ כְּכָל-נִפְלְאֹתָיו וְיַעֲלֶה מֵעָלֵֽינוּ׃
Inquire, I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us.
כֹּֽה-אָמַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הִנְנִי מֵסֵב אֶת-כְּלֵי הַמִּלְחָמָה אֲשֶׁר בְּיֶדְכֶם אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם נִלְחָמִים בָּם אֶת-מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶל וְאֶת-הַכַּשְׂדִּים הַצָּרִים עֲלֵיכֶם מִחוּץ לַֽחוֹמָה וְאָסַפְתִּי אוֹתָם אֶל-תּוֹךְ הָעִיר הַזֹּֽאת׃
Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city.
וְאַחֲרֵי-כֵן נְאֻם-יְהוָה אֶתֵּן אֶת-צִדְקִיָּהוּ מֶֽלֶךְ-יְהוּדָה וְאֶת-עֲבָדָיו׀ וְאֶת-הָעָם וְאֶת-הַנִּשְׁאָרִים בָּעִיר הַזֹּאת מִן-הַדֶּבֶר׀ מִן-הַחֶרֶב וּמִן-הָרָעָב בְּיַד נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל וּבְיַד אֹֽיְבֵיהֶם וּבְיַד מְבַקְשֵׁי נַפְשָׁם וְהִכָּם לְפִי-חֶרֶב לֹֽא-יָחוּס עֲלֵיהֶם וְלֹא יַחְמֹל וְלֹא יְרַחֵֽם׃
And afterward, saith the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.
כִּי שַׂמְתִּי פָנַי בָּעִיר הַזֹּאת לְרָעָה וְלֹא לְטוֹבָה נְאֻם-יְהוָה בְּיַד-מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶל תִּנָּתֵן וּשְׂרָפָהּ בָּאֵֽשׁ׃
For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.
וּלְבֵית מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה שִׁמְעוּ דְּבַר-יְהוָֽה׃
And touching the house of the king of Judah, say, Hear ye the word of the LORD;
כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה רֵד בֵּֽית-מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה וְדִבַּרְתָּ שָׁם אֶת-הַדָּבָר הַזֶּֽה׃
Thus saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word,
וְאָֽמַרְתָּ שְׁמַע דְּבַר-יְהוָה מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה הַיֹּשֵׁב עַל-כִּסֵּא דָוִד אַתָּה וַעֲבָדֶיךָ וְעַמְּךָ הַבָּאִים בַּשְּׁעָרִים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃
And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:
כִּי אִם-עָשׂוֹ תַּֽעֲשׂוּ אֶת-הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה וּבָאוּ בְשַׁעֲרֵי הַבַּיִת הַזֶּה מְלָכִים יֹשְׁבִים לְדָוִד עַל-כִּסְאוֹ רֹֽכְבִים בָּרֶכֶב וּבַסּוּסִים הוּא (ועבדו) וַעֲבָדָיו וְעַמּֽוֹ׃
For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.
כִּֽי-כֹה׀ אָמַר יְהוָה עַל-בֵּית מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה גִּלְעָד אַתָּה לִי רֹאשׁ הַלְּבָנוֹן אִם-לֹא אֲשִֽׁיתְךָ מִדְבָּר עָרִים לֹא (נושבה) נוֹשָֽׁבוּ׃
For thus saith the LORD unto the king's house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.
כִּי כֹה אָֽמַר-יְהוָה אֶל-שַׁלֻּם בֶּן-יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה הַמֹּלֵךְ תַּחַת יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ אָבִיו אֲשֶׁר יָצָא מִן-הַמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה לֹֽא-יָשׁוּב שָׁם עֽוֹד׃
For thus saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more:
לָכֵן כֹּֽה-אָמַר יְהוָה אֶל-יְהוֹיָקִים בֶּן-יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה לֹא-יִסְפְּדוּ לוֹ הוֹי אָחִי וְהוֹי אָחוֹת לֹא-יִסְפְּדוּ לוֹ הוֹי אָדוֹן וְהוֹי הֹדֹֽה׃
Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah lord! or, Ah his glory!
חַי-אָנִי נְאֻם-יְהוָה כִּי אִם-יִהְיֶה כָּנְיָהוּ בֶן-יְהֽוֹיָקִים מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה חוֹתָם עַל-יַד יְמִינִי כִּי מִשָּׁם אֶתְּקֶֽנְךָּ׃
As I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence;
וּנְתַתִּיךָ בְּיַד מְבַקְשֵׁי נַפְשֶׁךָ וּבְיַד אֲשֶׁר-אַתָּה יָגוֹר מִפְּנֵיהֶם וּבְיַד נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל וּבְיַד הַכַּשְׂדִּֽים׃
And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
הִנֵּה יָמִים בָּאִים נְאֻם-יְהוָה וַהֲקִמֹתִי לְדָוִד צֶמַח צַדִּיק וּמָלַךְ מֶלֶךְ וְהִשְׂכִּיל וְעָשָׂה מִשְׁפָּט וּצְדָקָה בָּאָֽרֶץ׃
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
הִרְאַנִי יְהוָה וְהִנֵּה שְׁנֵי דּוּדָאֵי תְאֵנִים מוּעָדִים לִפְנֵי הֵיכַל יְהוָה אַחֲרֵי הַגְלוֹת נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל אֶת-יְכָנְיָהוּ בֶן-יְהוֹיָקִים מֶֽלֶךְ-יְהוּדָה וְאֶת-שָׂרֵי יְהוּדָה וְאֶת-הֶחָרָשׁ וְאֶת-הַמַּסְגֵּר מִירוּשָׁלִַם וַיְבִאֵם בָּבֶֽל׃
The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
וְכַתְּאֵנִים הָֽרָעוֹת אֲשֶׁר לֹא-תֵאָכַלְנָה מֵרֹעַ כִּי-כֹה׀ אָמַר יְהוָה כֵּן אֶתֵּן אֶת-צִדְקִיָּהוּ מֶֽלֶךְ-יְהוּדָה וְאֶת-שָׂרָיו וְאֵת׀ שְׁאֵרִית יְרוּשָׁלִַם הַנִּשְׁאָרִים בָּאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת וְהַיֹּשְׁבִים בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:
הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר-הָיָה עַֽל-יִרְמְיָהוּ עַל-כָּל-עַם יְהוּדָה בַּשָּׁנָה הָֽרְבִעִית לִיהוֹיָקִים בֶּן-יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה הִיא הַשָּׁנָה הָרִאשֹׁנִית לִנְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּר מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶֽל׃
The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon;
מִן-שְׁלֹשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה לְיֹאשִׁיָּהוּ בֶן-אָמוֹן מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה וְעַד׀ הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה זֶה שָׁלֹשׁ וְעֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה הָיָה דְבַר-יְהוָה אֵלָי וָאֲדַבֵּר אֲלֵיכֶם אַשְׁכֵּים וְדַבֵּר וְלֹא שְׁמַעְתֶּֽם׃
From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the LORD hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.
הִנְנִי שֹׁלֵחַ וְלָקַחְתִּי אֶת-כָּל-מִשְׁפְּחוֹת צָפוֹן נְאֻם-יְהוָה וְאֶל-נְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּר מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל עַבְדִּי וַהֲבִאֹתִים עַל-הָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת וְעַל-יֹשְׁבֶיהָ וְעַל כָּל-הַגּוֹיִם הָאֵלֶּה סָבִיב וְהַחֲרַמְתִּים וְשַׂמְתִּים לְשַׁמָּה וְלִשְׁרֵקָה וּלְחָרְבוֹת עוֹלָֽם׃
Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.
וְהָֽיְתָה כָּל-הָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת לְחָרְבָּה לְשַׁמָּה וְעָבְדוּ הַגּוֹיִם הָאֵלֶּה אֶת-מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶל שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָֽה׃
And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
וְהָיָה כִמְלֹאות שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה אֶפְקֹד עַל-מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל וְעַל-הַגּוֹי הַהוּא נְאֻם-יְהוָה אֶת-עֲוֹנָם וְעַל-אֶרֶץ כַּשְׂדִּים וְשַׂמְתִּי אֹתוֹ לְשִֽׁמְמוֹת עוֹלָֽם׃
And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.
כִּי עָֽבְדוּ-בָם גַּם-הֵמָּה גּוֹיִם רַבִּים וּמְלָכִים גְּדוֹלִים וְשִׁלַּמְתִּי לָהֶם כְּפָעֳלָם וּכְמַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵיהֶֽם׃
For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.
אֶת-יְרוּשָׁלִַם וְאֶת-עָרֵי יְהוּדָה וְאֶת-מְלָכֶיהָ אֶת-שָׂרֶיהָ לָתֵת אֹתָם לְחָרְבָּה לְשַׁמָּה לִשְׁרֵקָה וְלִקְלָלָה כַּיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;
אֶת-פַּרְעֹה מֶֽלֶךְ-מִצְרַיִם וְאֶת-עֲבָדָיו וְאֶת-שָׂרָיו וְאֶת-כָּל-עַמּֽוֹ׃
Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;
וְאֵת כָּל-הָעֶרֶב וְאֵת כָּל-מַלְכֵי אֶרֶץ הָעוּץ וְאֵת כָּל-מַלְכֵי אֶרֶץ פְּלִשְׁתִּים וְאֶת-אַשְׁקְלוֹן וְאֶת-עַזָּה וְאֶת-עֶקְרוֹן וְאֵת שְׁאֵרִית אַשְׁדּֽוֹד׃
And all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod,
וְאֵת כָּל-מַלְכֵי-צֹר וְאֵת כָּל-מַלְכֵי צִידוֹן וְאֵת מַלְכֵי הָאִי אֲשֶׁר בְּעֵבֶר הַיָּֽם׃
And all the kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea,
וְאֵת כָּל-מַלְכֵי עֲרָב וְאֵת כָּל-מַלְכֵי הָעֶרֶב הַשֹּׁכְנִים בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃
And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert,
וְאֵת׀ כָּל-מַלְכֵי זִמְרִי וְאֵת כָּל-מַלְכֵי עֵילָם וְאֵת כָּל-מַלְכֵי מָדָֽי׃
And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,
וְאֵת׀ כָּל-מַלְכֵי הַצָּפוֹן הַקְּרֹבִים וְהָֽרְחֹקִים אִישׁ אֶל-אָחִיו וְאֵת כָּל-הַמַּמְלְכוֹת הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר עַל-פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה וּמֶלֶךְ שֵׁשַׁךְ יִשְׁתֶּה אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃
And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
בְּרֵאשִׁית מַמְלְכוּת יְהוֹיָקִים בֶּן-יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה הָיָה הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה מֵאֵת יְהוָה לֵאמֹֽר׃
In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word from the LORD, saying,
וַֽיִּשְׁמְעוּ׀ שָׂרֵי יְהוּדָה אֵת הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה וַיַּעֲלוּ מִבֵּית-הַמֶּלֶךְ בֵּית יְהוָה וַיֵּֽשְׁבוּ בְּפֶתַח שַֽׁעַר-יְהוָה הֶחָדָֽשׁ׃
When the princes of Judah heard these things, then they came up from the king's house unto the house of the LORD, and sat down in the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house.
(מיכיה) מִיכָה הַמּוֹרַשְׁתִּי הָיָה נִבָּא בִּימֵי חִזְקִיָּהוּ מֶֽלֶךְ-יְהוּדָה וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל-כָּל-עַם יְהוּדָה לֵאמֹר כֹּֽה-אָמַר׀ יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת צִיּוֹן שָׂדֶה תֵֽחָרֵשׁ וִירוּשָׁלַיִם עִיִּים תִּֽהְיֶה וְהַר הַבַּיִת לְבָמוֹת יָֽעַר׃
Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.
הֶהָמֵת הֱמִתֻהוּ חִזְקִיָּהוּ מֶֽלֶךְ-יְהוּדָה וְכָל-יְהוּדָה הֲלֹא יָרֵא אֶת-יְהוָה וַיְחַל אֶת-פְּנֵי יְהוָה וַיִּנָּחֶם יְהוָה אֶל-הָרָעָה אֲשֶׁר-דִּבֶּר עֲלֵיהֶם וַאֲנַחְנוּ עֹשִׂים רָעָה גְדוֹלָה עַל-נַפְשׁוֹתֵֽינוּ׃
Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.
וַיִּשְׁמַע הַמֶּֽלֶךְ-יְהוֹיָקִים וְכָל-גִּבּוֹרָיו וְכָל-הַשָּׂרִים אֶת-דְּבָרָיו וַיְבַקֵּשׁ הַמֶּלֶךְ הֲמִיתוֹ וַיִּשְׁמַע אוּרִיָּהוּ וַיִּרָא וַיִּבְרַח וַיָּבֹא מִצְרָֽיִם׃
And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was afraid, and fled, and went into Egypt;
וַיִּשְׁלַח הַמֶּלֶךְ יְהוֹיָקִים אֲנָשִׁים מִצְרָיִם אֵת אֶלְנָתָן בֶּן-עַכְבּוֹר וַאֲנָשִׁים אִתּוֹ אֶל-מִצְרָֽיִם׃
And Jehoiakim the king sent men into Egypt, namely, Elnathan the son of Achbor, and certain men with him into Egypt.
וַיּוֹצִיאוּ אֶת-אוּרִיָּהוּ מִמִּצְרַיִם וַיְבִאֻהוּ אֶל-הַמֶּלֶךְ יְהוֹיָקִים וַיַּכֵּהוּ בֶּחָרֶב וַיַּשְׁלֵךְ אֶת-נִבְלָתוֹ אֶל-קִבְרֵי בְּנֵי הָעָֽם׃
And they fetched forth Urijah out of Egypt, and brought him unto Jehoiakim the king; who slew him with the sword, and cast his dead body into the graves of the common people.
בְּרֵאשִׁית מַמְלֶכֶת יְהוֹיָקִם בֶּן-יֹאושִׁיָּהוּ מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה הָיָה הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה אֶֽל-יִרְמְיָה מֵאֵת יְהוָה לֵאמֹֽר׃
In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
וְשִׁלַּחְתָּם אֶל-מֶלֶךְ אֱדוֹם וְאֶל-מֶלֶךְ מוֹאָב וְאֶל-מֶלֶךְ בְּנֵי עַמּוֹן וְאֶל-מֶלֶךְ צֹר וְאֶל-מֶלֶךְ צִידוֹן בְּיַד מַלְאָכִים הַבָּאִים יְרוּשָׁלִַם אֶל-צִדְקִיָּהוּ מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה׃
And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;
וְעַתָּה אָֽנֹכִי נָתַתִּי אֶת-כָּל-הָאֲרָצוֹת הָאֵלֶּה בְּיַד נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּר מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל עַבְדִּי וְגַם אֶת-חַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה נָתַתִּי לוֹ לְעָבְדֽוֹ׃
And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.
וְעָבְדוּ אֹתוֹ כָּל-הַגּוֹיִם וְאֶת-בְּנוֹ וְאֶֽת-בֶּן-בְּנוֹ עַד בֹּא-עֵת אַרְצוֹ גַּם-הוּא וְעָבְדוּ בוֹ גּוֹיִם רַבִּים וּמְלָכִים גְּדֹלִֽים׃
And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.
וְהָיָה הַגּוֹי וְהַמַּמְלָכָה אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא-יַעַבְדוּ אֹתוֹ אֶת-נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּר מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל וְאֵת אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא-יִתֵּן אֶת-צַוָּארוֹ בְּעֹל מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶל בַּחֶרֶב וּבָרָעָב וּבַדֶּבֶר אֶפְקֹד עַל-הַגּוֹי הַהוּא נְאֻם-יְהוָה עַד-תֻּמִּי אֹתָם בְּיָדֽוֹ׃
And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
וְאַתֶּם אַל-תִּשְׁמְעוּ אֶל-נְבִיאֵיכֶם וְאֶל-קֹֽסְמֵיכֶם וְאֶל חֲלֹמֹתֵיכֶם וְאֶל-עֹֽנְנֵיכֶם וְאֶל-כַּשָּׁפֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר-הֵם אֹמְרִים אֲלֵיכֶם לֵאמֹר לֹא תַעַבְדוּ אֶת-מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶֽל׃
Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:
וְהַגּוֹי אֲשֶׁר יָבִיא אֶת-צַוָּארוֹ בְּעֹל מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל וַֽעֲבָדוֹ וְהִנַּחְתִּיו עַל-אַדְמָתוֹ נְאֻם-יְהוָה וַֽעֲבָדָהּ וְיָשַׁב בָּֽהּ׃
But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.
וְאֶל-צִדְקִיָּה מֶֽלֶךְ-יְהוּדָה דִּבַּרְתִּי כְּכָל-הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה לֵאמֹר הָבִיאוּ אֶת-צַוְּארֵיכֶם בְּעֹל מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל וְעִבְדוּ אֹתוֹ וְעַמּוֹ וִֽחְיֽוּ׃
I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
לָמָּה תָמוּתוּ אַתָּה וְעַמֶּךָ בַּחֶרֶב בָּרָעָב וּבַדָּבֶר כַּֽאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָה אֶל-הַגּוֹי אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא-יַעֲבֹד אֶת-מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶֽל׃
Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
וְאַֽל-תִּשְׁמְעוּ אֶל-דִּבְרֵי הַנְּבִאִים הָאֹמְרִים אֲלֵיכֶם לֵאמֹר לֹא תַעַבְדוּ אֶת-מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶל כִּי שֶׁקֶר הֵם נִבְּאִים לָכֶֽם׃
Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
אַל-תִּשְׁמְעוּ אֲלֵיהֶם עִבְדוּ אֶת-מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל וִֽחְיוּ לָמָּה תִֽהְיֶה הָעִיר הַזֹּאת חָרְבָּֽה׃
Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?
וְאִם-נְבִאִים הֵם וְאִם-יֵשׁ דְּבַר-יְהוָה אִתָּם יִפְגְּעוּ-נָא בַּֽיהוָה צְבָאוֹת לְבִלְתִּי-בֹאוּ הַכֵּלִים׀ הַנּוֹתָרִים בְּבֵית-יְהוָה וּבֵית מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה וּבִירוּשָׁלִַם בָּבֶֽלָה׃
But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.
אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא-לְקָחָם נְבֽוּכַדְנֶאצַּר מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶל בַּגְלוֹתוֹ אֶת-יְכָונְיָה בֶן-יְהוֹיָקִים מֶֽלֶךְ-יְהוּדָה מִירֽוּשָׁלִַם בָּבֶלָה וְאֵת כָּל-חֹרֵי יְהוּדָה וִירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;
כִּי כֹה אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל-הַכֵּלִים הַנּֽוֹתָרִים בֵּית יְהוָה וּבֵית מֶֽלֶךְ-יְהוּדָה וִירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;
וַיְהִי׀ בַּשָּׁנָה הַהִיא בְּרֵאשִׁית מַמְלֶכֶת צִדְקִיָּה מֶֽלֶךְ-יְהוּדָה (בשנת) בַּשָּׁנָה הָֽרְבִעִית בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַחֲמִישִׁי אָמַר אֵלַי חֲנַנְיָה בֶן-עַזּוּר הַנָּבִיא אֲשֶׁר מִגִּבְעוֹן בְּבֵית יְהוָה לְעֵינֵי הַכֹּהֲנִים וְכָל-הָעָם לֵאמֹֽר׃
And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,
כֹּֽה-אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר שָׁבַרְתִּי אֶת-עֹל מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶֽל׃
Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.
בְּעוֹד׀ שְׁנָתַיִם יָמִים אֲנִי מֵשִׁיב אֶל-הַמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה אֶֽת-כָּל-כְּלֵי בֵּית יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר לָקַח נְבוּכַדנֶאצַּר מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל מִן-הַמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה וַיְבִיאֵם בָּבֶֽל׃
Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the LORD's house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:
