בְּנֵי צוֹפָח סוּחַ וְחַרְנֶפֶר וְשׁוּעָל וּבֵרִי וְיִמְרָֽה׃
The sons of Zophah; Suah, and Harnepher, and Shual, and Beri, and Imrah,
וּבְנֵי יֶתֶר יְפֻנֶּה וּפִסְפָּה וַאְרָֽא׃
And the sons of Jether; Jephunneh, and Pispah, and Ara.
כָּל-אֵלֶּה בְנֵֽי-אָשֵׁר רָאשֵׁי בֵית-הָֽאָבוֹת בְּרוּרִים גִּבּוֹרֵי חֲיָלִים רָאשֵׁי הַנְּשִׂיאִים וְהִתְיַחְשָׂם בַּצָּבָא בַּמִּלְחָמָה מִסְפָּרָם אֲנָשִׁים עֶשְׂרִים וְשִׁשָּׁה אָֽלֶף׃
All these were the children of Asher, heads of their father's house, choice and mighty men of valour, chief of the princes. And the number throughout the genealogy of them that were apt to the war and to battle was twenty and six thousand men.
וַיִּֽהְיוּ בָנִים לְבָלַע אַדָּר וְגֵרָא וַֽאֲבִיהֽוּד׃
And the sons of Bela were, Addar, and Gera, and Abihud,
וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי אֵחוּד אֵלֶּה הֵם רָאשֵׁי אָבוֹת לְיוֹשְׁבֵי גֶבַע וַיַּגְלוּם אֶל-מָנָֽחַת׃
And these are the sons of Ehud: these are the heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of Geba, and they removed them to Manahath:
וְאֶת-יְעוּץ וְאֶת-שָֽׂכְיָה וְאֶת-מִרְמָה אֵלֶּה בָנָיו רָאשֵׁי אָבֽוֹת׃
And Jeuz, and Shachia, and Mirma. These were his sons, heads of the fathers.
וּבְנֵי אֶלְפַּעַל עֵבֶר וּמִשְׁעָם וָשָׁמֶד הוּא בָּנָה אֶת-אוֹנוֹ וְאֶת-לֹד וּבְנֹתֶֽיהָ׃
The sons of Elpaal; Eber, and Misham, and Shamed, who built Ono, and Lod, with the towns thereof:
וּמִֽיכָאֵל וְיִשְׁפָּה וְיוֹחָא בְּנֵי בְרִיעָֽה׃

וְיִשְׁמְרַי וְיִזְלִיאָה וְיוֹבָב בְּנֵי אֶלְפָּֽעַל׃
Ishmerai also, and Jezliah, and Jobab, the sons of Elpaal;
וַֽעֲדָיָה וּבְרָאיָה וְשִׁמְרָת בְּנֵי שִׁמְעִֽי׃
And Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath, the sons of Shimhi;
וְיִפְדְיָה (ופניאל) וּפְנוּאֵל בְּנֵי שָׁשָֽׁק׃
And Iphedeiah, and Penuel, the sons of Shashak;
וְיַֽעֲרֶשְׁיָה וְאֵֽלִיָּה וְזִכְרִי בְּנֵי יְרֹחָֽם׃
And Jaresiah, and Eliah, and Zichri, the sons of Jeroham.
וּבְנוֹ הַבְּכוֹר עַבְדּוֹן וְצוּר וְקִישׁ וּבַעַל וְנָדָֽב׃
And his firstborn son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab,
וּבֶן-יְהֽוֹנָתָן מְרִיב בָּעַל וּמְרִיב בַּעַל הוֹלִיד אֶת-מִיכָֽה׃
And the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal; and Merib-baal begat Micah.
וּבְנֵי מִיכָה פִּיתוֹן וָמֶלֶךְ וְתַאְרֵעַ וְאָחָֽז׃
And the sons of Micah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.
וּמוֹצָא הוֹלִיד אֶת-בִּנְעָא רָפָה בְנוֹ אֶלְעָשָׂה בְנוֹ אָצֵל בְּנֽוֹ׃
And Moza begat Binea: Rapha was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son:
וּלְאָצֵל שִׁשָּׁה בָנִים וְאֵלֶּה שְׁמוֹתָם עַזְרִיקָם׀ בֹּכְרוּ וְיִשְׁמָעֵאל וּשְׁעַרְיָה וְעֹֽבַדְיָה וְחָנָן כָּל-אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי אָצַֽל׃
And Azel had six sons, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.
וּבְנֵי עֵשֶׁק אָחִיו אוּלָם בְּכֹרוֹ יְעוּשׁ הַשֵּׁנִי וֶֽאֱלִיפֶלֶט הַשְּׁלִשִֽׁי׃
And the sons of Eshek his brother were, Ulam his firstborn, Jehush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
וַיִּֽהְיוּ בְנֵֽי-אוּלָם אֲנָשִׁים גִּבּוֹרֵי-חַיִל דֹּרְכֵי קֶשֶׁת וּמַרְבִּים בָּנִים וּבְנֵי בָנִים מֵאָה וַֽחֲמִשִּׁים כָּל-אֵלֶּה מִבְּנֵי בִנְיָמִֽן׃
And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons' sons, an hundred and fifty. All these are of the sons of Benjamin.
וּבִירֽוּשָׁלִַם יָֽשְׁבוּ מִן-בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה וּמִן-בְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן וּמִן-בְּנֵי אֶפְרַיִם וּמְנַשֶּֽׁה׃
And in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh;
עוּתַי בֶּן-עַמִּיהוּד בֶּן-עָמְרִי בֶּן-אִמְרִי בֶן-(בנימן) בָּנִי-מִן-בְּנֵי-פֶרֶץ בֶּן-יְהוּדָֽה׃
Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Pharez the son of Judah.
וּמִן-הַשִּׁילוֹנִי עֲשָׂיָה הַבְּכוֹר וּבָנָֽיו׃
And of the Shilonites; Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.
וּמִן-בְּנֵי-זֶרַח יְעוּאֵל וַֽאֲחֵיהֶם שֵׁשׁ-מֵאוֹת וְתִשְׁעִֽים׃
And of the sons of Zerah; Jeuel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.
וּמִן-בְּנֵי בִּנְיָמִן סַלּוּא בֶּן-מְשֻׁלָּם בֶּן-הֽוֹדַוְיָה בֶּן-הַסְּנֻאָֽה׃
And of the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hasenuah,
וְיִבְנְיָה בֶּן-יְרֹחָם וְאֵלָה בֶן-עֻזִּי בֶּן-מִכְרִי וּמְשֻׁלָּם בֶּן-שְׁפַטְיָה בֶּן-רְעוּאֵל בֶּן-יִבְנִיָּֽה׃
And Ibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephathiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;
וַֽעֲזַרְיָה בֶן-חִלְקִיָּה בֶּן-מְשֻׁלָּם בֶּן-צָדוֹק בֶּן-מְרָיוֹת בֶּן-אֲחִיטוּב נְגִיד בֵּית הָֽאֱלֹהִֽים׃
And Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;
וַֽעֲדָיָה בֶּן-יְרֹחָם בֶּן-פַּשְׁחוּר בֶּן-מַלְכִּיָּה וּמַעְשַׂי בֶּן-עֲדִיאֵל בֶּן-יַחְזֵרָה בֶּן-מְשֻׁלָּם בֶּן-מְשִׁלֵּמִית בֶּן-אִמֵּֽר׃

וּמִֽן-הַלְוִיִּם שְׁמַֽעְיָה בֶן-חַשּׁוּב בֶּן-עַזְרִיקָם בֶּן-חֲשַׁבְיָה מִן-בְּנֵי מְרָרִֽי׃
And of the Levites; Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;
וּבַקְבַּקַּר חֶרֶשׁ וְגָלָל וּמַתַּנְיָה בֶּן-מִיכָא בֶּן-זִכְרִי בֶּן-אָסָֽף׃
And Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;
וְעֹֽבַדְיָה בֶּֽן-שְׁמַעְיָה בֶּן-גָּלָל בֶּן-יְדוּתוּן וּבֶֽרֶכְיָה בֶן-אָסָא בֶּן-אֶלְקָנָה הַיּוֹשֵׁב בְּחַצְרֵי נְטֽוֹפָתִֽי׃
And Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
וְֽעַד-הֵנָּה בְּשַׁעַר הַמֶּלֶךְ מִזְרָחָה הֵמָּה הַשֹּׁעֲרִים לְמַֽחֲנוֹת בְּנֵי לֵוִֽי׃
Who hitherto waited in the king's gate eastward: they were porters in the companies of the children of Levi.
וְשַׁלּוּם בֶּן-קוֹרֵא בֶּן-אֶבְיָסָף בֶּן-קֹרַח וְֽאֶחָיו לְבֵית-אָבִיו הַקָּרְחִים עַל מְלֶאכֶת הָֽעֲבוֹדָה שֹֽׁמְרֵי הַסִּפִּים לָאֹהֶל וַאֲבֹֽתֵיהֶם עַל-מַֽחֲנֵה יְהוָה שֹֽׁמְרֵי הַמָּבֽוֹא׃
And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the host of the LORD, were keepers of the entry.
וּפִֽינְחָס בֶּן-אֶלְעָזָר נָגִיד הָיָה עֲלֵיהֶם לְפָנִים יְהוָה׀ עִמּֽוֹ׃
And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and the LORD was with him.
זְכַרְיָה בֶּן מְשֶֽׁלֶמְיָה שֹׁעֵר פֶּתַח לְאֹהֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃
And Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
וְהֵם וּבְנֵיהֶם עַל-הַשְּׁעָרִים לְבֵית-יְהוָה לְבֵית הָאֹהֶל לְמִשְׁמָרֽוֹת׃
So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of the LORD, namely, the house of the tabernacle, by wards.
וּמִן-בְּנֵי הַכֹּהֲנִים רֹֽקְחֵי הַמִּרְקַחַת לַבְּשָׂמִֽים׃
And some of the sons of the priests made the ointment of the spices.
וּמִן-בְּנֵי הַקְּהָתִי מִן-אֲחֵיהֶם עַל-לֶחֶם הַֽמַּעֲרָכֶת לְהָכִין שַׁבַּת שַׁבָּֽת׃
And other of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the shewbread, to prepare it every sabbath.

וַיַּדְבְּקוּ פְלִשְׁתִּים אַֽחֲרֵי שָׁאוּל וְאַֽחֲרֵי בָנָיו וַיַּכּוּ פְלִשְׁתִּים אֶת-יֽוֹנָתָן וְאֶת-אֲבִֽינָדָב וְאֶת-מַלְכִּי-שׁוּעַ בְּנֵי שָׁאֽוּל׃
And the Philistines followed hard after Saul, and after his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchi-shua, the sons of Saul.
וַיָּמָת שָׁאוּל וּשְׁלֹשֶׁת בָּנָיו וְכָל-בֵּיתוֹ יַחְדָּו מֵֽתוּ׃
So Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together.
וַיִּרְאוּ כָּל-אִישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר-בָּעֵמֶק כִּי נָסוּ וְכִי-מֵתוּ שָׁאוּל וּבָנָיו וַיַּֽעַזְבוּ עָֽרֵיהֶם וַיָּנֻסוּ וַיָּבֹאוּ פְלִשְׁתִּים וַיֵּֽשְׁבוּ בָּהֶֽם׃
And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, then they forsook their cities, and fled: and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
וַֽיְהִי מִֽמָּחֳרָת וַיָּבֹאוּ פְלִשְׁתִּים לְפַשֵּׁט אֶת-הַֽחֲלָלִים וַֽיִּמְצְאוּ אֶת-שָׁאוּל וְאֶת-בָּנָיו נֹֽפְלִים בְּהַר גִּלְבֹּֽעַ׃
And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen in mount Gilboa.
וַיָּקוּמוּ כָּל-אִישׁ חַיִל וַיִּשְׂאוּ אֶת-גּוּפַת שָׁאוּל וְאֵת גּוּפֹת בָּנָיו וַיְבִיאוּם יָבֵישָׁה וַיִּקְבְּרוּ אֶת-עַצְמֽוֹתֵיהֶם תַּחַת הָֽאֵלָה בְּיָבֵשׁ וַיָּצוּמוּ שִׁבְעַת יָמִֽים׃
They arose, all the valiant men, and took away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.
וְלֹֽא-דָרַשׁ בַּֽיהוָה וַיְמִיתֵהוּ וַיַּסֵּב אֶת-הַמְּלוּכָה לְדָוִיד בֶּן-יִשָֽׁי׃
And inquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.
וַיֹּאמֶר דָּוִיד כָּל-מַכֵּה יְבוּסִי בָּרִאשׁוֹנָה יִֽהְיֶה לְרֹאשׁ וּלְשָׂר וַיַּעַל בָּרִֽאשׁוֹנָה יוֹאָב בֶּן-צְרוּיָה וַיְהִי לְרֹֽאשׁ׃
And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went up, first and was chief.
וְאֵלֶּה מִסְפַּר הַגִּבֹּרִים אֲשֶׁר לְדָוִיד יָֽשָׁבְעָם בֶּן-חַכְמוֹנִי רֹאשׁ (השלושים) הַשָּׁלִישִׁים הֽוּא-עוֹרֵר אֶת-חֲנִיתוֹ עַל-שְׁלֹשׁ-מֵאוֹת חָלָל בְּפַעַם אֶחָֽת׃
And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had; Jashobeam, an Hachmonite, the chief of the captains: he lifted up his spear against three hundred slain by him at one time.
וְאַֽחֲרָיו אֶלְעָזָר בֶּן-דּוֹדוֹ הָֽאֲחוֹחִי הוּא בִּשְׁלוֹשָׁה הַגִּבֹּרִֽים׃
And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighties.
בְּנָיָה בֶן-יְהֽוֹיָדָע בֶּן-אִֽישׁ-חַיִל רַב-פְּעָלִים מִֽן-קַבְצְאֵל הוּא הִכָּה אֵת שְׁנֵי אֲרִיאֵל מוֹאָב וְהוּא יָרַד וְהִכָּה אֶֽת-הָאֲרִי בְּתוֹךְ הַבּוֹר בְּיוֹם הַשָּֽׁלֶג׃
Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many acts; he slew two lionlike men of Moab: also he went down and slew a lion in a pit in a snowy day.
אֵלֶּה עָשָׂה בְּנָיָהוּ בֶּן-יְהֽוֹיָדָע וְלוֹ-שֵׁם בִּשְׁלוֹשָׁה הַגִּבֹּרִֽים׃
These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among the three mighties.
וְגִבּוֹרֵי הַֽחֲיָלִים עֲשָׂה-אֵל אֲחִי יוֹאָב אֶלְחָנָן בֶּן-דּוֹדוֹ מִבֵּית לָֽחֶם׃
Also the valiant men of the armies were, Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
עִירָא בֶן-עִקֵּשׁ הַתְּקוֹעִי אֲבִיעֶזֶר הָעַנְּתוֹתִֽי׃
Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Antothite,
מַהְרַי הַנְּטֹפָתִי חֵלֶד בֶּֽן-בַּעֲנָה הַנְּטֽוֹפָתִֽי׃
Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite,
אִיתַי בֶּן-רִיבַי מִגִּבְעַת בְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן בְּנָיָה הַפִּרְעָֽתֹנִֽי׃
Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah, that pertained to the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,
בְּנֵי הָשֵׁם הַגִּזוֹנִי יֽוֹנָתָן בֶּן-שָׁגֵה הַֽהֲרָרִֽי׃
The sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shage the Hararite,
אֲחִיאָם בֶּן-שָׂכָר הַֽהֲרָרִי אֱלִיפַל בֶּן-אֽוּר׃
Ahiam the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur,
צֶלֶק הָֽעַמּוֹנִי נַחְרַי הַבֵּרֹתִי נֹשֵׂא כְּלֵי יוֹאָב בֶּן-צְרוּיָֽה׃
Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, the armourbearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah,
עֲדִינָא בֶן-שִׁיזָא הָרֽאוּבֵנִי רֹאשׁ לָרֽאוּבֵנִי וְעָלָיו שְׁלֹשִֽׁים׃
Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a captain of the Reubenites, and thirty with him,
חָנָן בֶּֽן-מַעֲכָה וְיֽוֹשָׁפָט הַמִּתְנִֽי׃
Hanan the son of Maachah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite,
עֻזִיָּא הָעַשְׁתְּרָתִי שָׁמָע (ויעואל) וִֽיעִיאֵל בְּנֵי חוֹתָם הָֽעֲרֹֽעֵרִֽי׃
Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jehiel the sons of Hothan the Aroerite,
יְדִֽיעֲאֵל בֶּן-שִׁמְרִי וְיֹחָא אָחִיו הַתִּיצִֽי׃
Jediael the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite,
אֱלִיאֵל הַֽמַּחֲוִים וִֽירִיבַי וְיֽוֹשַׁוְיָה בְּנֵי אֶלְנָעַם וְיִתְמָה הַמּֽוֹאָבִֽי׃
Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,
וְאֵלֶּה הַבָּאִים אֶל-דָּוִיד לְצִיקְלַג עוֹד עָצוּר מִפְּנֵי שָׁאוּל בֶּן-קִישׁ וְהֵמָּה בַּגִּבּוֹרִים עֹֽזְרֵי הַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃
Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.
הָרֹאשׁ אֲחִיעֶזֶר וְיוֹאָשׁ בְּנֵי הַשְּׁמָעָה הַגִּבְעָתִי (ויזואל) וִיזִיאֵל וָפֶלֶט בְּנֵי עַזְמָוֶת וּבְרָכָה וְיֵהוּא הָעַנְּתֹתִֽי׃
The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite,
וְיֽוֹעֵאלָה וּזְבַדְיָה בְּנֵי יְרֹחָם מִן-הַגְּדֽוֹר׃
And Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
אֵלֶּה מִבְּנֵי-גָד רָאשֵׁי הַצָּבָא אֶחָד לְמֵאָה הַקָּטָן וְהַגָּדוֹל לְאָֽלֶף׃
These were of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least was over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.
וַיָּבֹאוּ מִן-בְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן וִֽיהוּדָה עַד-לַמְצָד לְדָוִֽיד׃
And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.
וְרוּחַ לָֽבְשָׁה אֶת-עֲמָשַׂי רֹאשׁ (השלושים) הַשָּׁלִישִׁים לְךָ דָוִיד וְעִמְּךָ בֶן-יִשַׁי שָׁלוֹם׀ שָׁלוֹם לְךָ וְשָׁלוֹם לְעֹזְרֶךָ כִּי עֲזָֽרְךָ אֱלֹהֶיךָ וַיְקַבְּלֵם דָּוִיד וַֽיִּתְּנֵם בְּרָאשֵׁי הַגְּדֽוּד׃
Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה נֹֽשְׂאֵי צִנָּה וָרֹמַח שֵׁשֶׁת אֲלָפִים וּשְׁמוֹנֶה מֵאוֹת חֲלוּצֵי צָבָֽא׃
The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.
מִן-בְּנֵי שִׁמְעוֹן גִּבּוֹרֵי חַיִל לַצָּבָא שִׁבְעַת אֲלָפִים וּמֵאָֽה׃
Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.
מִן-בְּנֵי הַלֵּוִי אַרְבַּעַת אֲלָפִים וְשֵׁשׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃
Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
וּמִן-בְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן אֲחֵי שָׁאוּל שְׁלֹשֶׁת אֲלָפִים וְעַד-הֵנָּה מַרְבִּיתָם שֹֽׁמְרִים מִשְׁמֶרֶת בֵּית שָׁאֽוּל׃
And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.
וּמִן-בְּנֵי אֶפְרַיִם עֶשְׂרִים אֶלֶף וּשְׁמוֹנֶה מֵאוֹת גִּבּוֹרֵי חַיִל אַנְשֵׁי שֵׁמוֹת לְבֵית אֲבוֹתָֽם׃
And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers.
וּמִבְּנֵי יִשָּׂשכָר יֽוֹדְעֵי בִינָה לַֽעִתִּים לָדַעַת מַה-יַּֽעֲשֶׂה יִשְׂרָאֵל רָֽאשֵׁיהֶם מָאתַיִם וְכָל-אֲחֵיהֶם עַל-פִּיהֶֽם׃
And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.
וַיִּקַּח דָּוִיד עוֹד נָשִׁים בִּירֽוּשָׁלִָם וַיּוֹלֶד דָּוִיד עוֹד בָּנִים וּבָנֽוֹת׃
And David took more wives at Jerusalem: and David begat more sons and daughters.
וַיֶּֽאֱסֹף דָּוִיד אֶת-בְּנֵי אַֽהֲרֹן וְאֶת-הַלְוִיִּֽם׃
And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:
לִבְנֵי קְהָת אֽוּרִיאֵל הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מֵאָה וְעֶשְׂרִֽים׃
Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty:
לִבְנֵי מְרָרִי עֲשָׂיָה הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מָאתַיִם וְעֶשְׂרִֽים׃
Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty:
לִבְנֵי גֵּֽרְשׁוֹם יוֹאֵל הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מֵאָה וּשְׁלֹשִֽׁים׃
Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and thirty:
לִבְנֵי אֱלִֽיצָפָן שְׁמַֽעְיָה הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מָאתָֽיִם׃
Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred:
לִבְנֵי חֶבְרוֹן אֱלִיאֵל הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו שְׁמוֹנִֽים׃
Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore:
לִבְנֵי עֻזִּיאֵל עַמִּֽינָדָב הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מֵאָה וּשְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃
Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twelve.
וַיִּשְׂאוּ בְנֵֽי-הַלְוִיִּם אֵת אֲרוֹן הָֽאֱלֹהִים כַּֽאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה מֹשֶׁה כִּדְבַר יְהוָה בִּכְתֵפָם בַּמֹּטוֹת עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃
And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.
וַיַּֽעֲמִידוּ הַלְוִיִּם אֵת הֵימָן בֶּן-יוֹאֵל וּמִן-אֶחָיו אָסָף בֶּן-בֶּֽרֶכְיָהוּ וּמִן-בְּנֵי מְרָרִי אֲחֵיהֶם אֵיתָן בֶּן-קֽוּשָׁיָֽהוּ׃
So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
זֶרַע יִשְׂרָאֵל עַבְדּוֹ בְּנֵי יַֽעֲקֹב בְּחִירָֽיו׃
O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
וְעֹבֵד אֱדֹם וַֽאֲחֵיהֶם שִׁשִּׁים וּשְׁמוֹנָה וְעֹבֵד אֱדֹם בֶּן-יְדִיתוּן וְחֹסָה לְשֹֽׁעֲרִֽים׃
And Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:
וְעִמָּהֶם הֵימָן וִֽידוּתוּן חֲצֹֽצְרוֹת וּמְצִלְתַּיִם לְמַשְׁמִיעִים וּכְלֵי שִׁיר הָֽאֱלֹהִים וּבְנֵי יְדוּתוּן לַשָּֽׁעַר׃
And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.
וְשַׂמְתִּי מָקוֹם לְעַמִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּנְטַעְתִּיהוּ וְשָׁכַן תַּחְתָּיו וְלֹא יִרְגַּז עוֹד וְלֹֽא-יוֹסִיפוּ בְנֵֽי-עַוְלָה לְבַלֹּתוֹ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר בָּרִֽאשׁוֹנָֽה׃
Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,
וְהָיָה כִּֽי-מָלְאוּ יָמֶיךָ לָלֶכֶת עִם-אֲבֹתֶיךָ וַהֲקִֽימוֹתִי אֶֽת-זַרְעֲךָ אַֽחֲרֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר יִֽהְיֶה מִבָּנֶיךָ וַהֲכִֽינוֹתִי אֶת-מַלְכוּתֽוֹ׃
And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
אֲנִי אֶֽהְיֶה-לּוֹ לְאָב וְהוּא יִֽהְיֶה-לִּי לְבֵן וְחַסְדִּי לֹֽא-אָסִיר מֵֽעִמּוֹ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר הֲסִירוֹתִי מֵֽאֲשֶׁר הָיָה לְפָנֶֽיךָ׃
I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee:
וַיִּשְׁלַח אֶת-הֲדֽוֹרָם-בְּנוֹ אֶל-הַמֶּֽלֶךְ-דָּוִיד (לשאול) לִשְׁאָל-לוֹ לְשָׁלוֹם וּֽלְבָרֲכוֹ עַל אֲשֶׁר נִלְחַם בַּֽהֲדַדְעֶזֶר וַיַּכֵּהוּ כִּי-אִישׁ מִלְחֲמוֹת תֹּעוּ הָיָה הֲדַדְעָזֶר וְכֹל כְּלֵי זָהָב וָכֶסֶף וּנְחֹֽשֶׁת׃
He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to inquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.
גַּם-אֹתָם הִקְדִּישׁ הַמֶּלֶךְ דָּוִיד לַֽיהוָה עִם-הַכֶּסֶף וְהַזָּהָב אֲשֶׁר נָשָׂא מִכָּל-הַגּוֹיִם מֵֽאֱדוֹם וּמִמּוֹאָב וּמִבְּנֵי עַמּוֹן וּמִפְּלִשְׁתִּים וּמֵֽעֲמָלֵֽק׃
Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
וְאַבְשַׁי בֶּן-צְרוּיָה הִכָּה אֶת-אֱדוֹם בְּגֵיא הַמֶּלַח שְׁמוֹנָה עָשָׂר אָֽלֶף׃
Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand.
