וַתִּשָּׂא אֹתִי רוּחַ וַתָּבֵא אֹתִי אֶל-שַׁעַר בֵּית-יְהוָה הַקַּדְמוֹנִי הַפּוֹנֶה קָדִימָה וְהִנֵּה בְּפֶתַח הַשַּׁעַר עֶשְׂרִים וַחֲמִשָּׁה אִישׁ וָאֶרְאֶה בְתוֹכָם אֶת-יַאֲזַנְיָה בֶן-עַזֻּר וְאֶת-פְּלַטְיָהוּ בֶן-בְּנָיָהוּ שָׂרֵי הָעָֽם׃
Moreover the spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of the LORD's house, which looketh eastward: and behold at the door of the gate five and twenty men; among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.
בֶּן-אָדָם יַעַן אֲשֶׁר-אָמְרָה צֹּר עַל-יְרוּשָׁלִַם הֶאָח נִשְׁבְּרָה דַּלְתוֹת הָעַמִּים נָסֵבָּה אֵלָי אִמָּלְאָה הָחֳרָֽבָה׃
Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gates of the people: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, now she is laid waste:
וְאַתָּה בֶן-אָדָם בְּנֵי עַמְּךָ הַנִּדְבָּרִים בְּךָ אֵצֶל הַקִּירוֹת וּבְפִתְחֵי הַבָּתִּים וְדִבֶּר-חַד אֶת-אַחַד אִישׁ אֶת-אָחִיו לֵאמֹר בֹּֽאוּ-נָא וְשִׁמְעוּ מָה הַדָּבָר הַיּוֹצֵא מֵאֵת יְהוָֽה׃
Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD.
וְאָמַרְתָּ אֶֽעֱלֶה עַל-אֶרֶץ פְּרָזוֹת אָבוֹא הַשֹּׁקְטִים יֹשְׁבֵי לָבֶטַח כֻּלָּם יֹֽשְׁבִים בְּאֵין חוֹמָה וּבְרִיחַ וּדְלָתַיִם אֵין לָהֶֽם׃
And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
וַיָּמָד אֶת-רֹחַב פֶּֽתַח-הַשַּׁעַר עֶשֶׂר אַמּוֹת אֹרֶךְ הַשַּׁעַר שְׁלוֹשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה אַמּֽוֹת׃
And he measured the breadth of the entry of the gate, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits.
וַיָּמָד אֶת-הַשַּׁעַר מִגַּג הַתָּא לְגַגּוֹ רֹחַב עֶשְׂרִים וְחָמֵשׁ אַמּוֹת פֶּתַח נֶגֶד פָּֽתַח׃
He measured then the gate from the roof of one little chamber to the roof of another: the breadth was five and twenty cubits, door against door.
וְלִשְׁכָּה וּפִתְחָהּ בְּאֵילִים הַשְּׁעָרִים שָׁם יָדִיחוּ אֶת-הָעֹלָֽה׃
And the chambers and the entries thereof were by the posts of the gates, where they washed the burnt offering.
וְאֶל-הַכָּתֵף מִחוּצָה לָעוֹלֶה לְפֶתַח הַשַּׁעַר הַצָּפוֹנָה שְׁנַיִם שֻׁלְחָנוֹת וְאֶל-הַכָּתֵף הָאַחֶרֶת אֲשֶׁר לְאֻלָם הַשַּׁעַר שְׁנַיִם שֻׁלְחָנֽוֹת׃
And at the side without, as one goeth up to the entry of the north gate, were two tables; and on the other side, which was at the porch of the gate, were two tables.
וְרֹחַב הַפֶּתַח עֶשֶׂר אַמּוֹת וְכִתְפוֹת הַפֶּתַח חָמֵשׁ אַמּוֹת מִפּוֹ וְחָמֵשׁ אַמּוֹת מִפּוֹ וַיָּמָד אָרְכּוֹ אַרְבָּעִים אַמָּה וְרֹחַב עֶשְׂרִים אַמָּֽה׃
And the breadth of the door was ten cubits; and the sides of the door were five cubits on the one side, and five cubits on the other side: and he measured the length thereof, forty cubits: and the breadth, twenty cubits.
וּבָא לִפְנִימָה וַיָּמָד אֵֽיל-הַפֶּתַח שְׁתַּיִם אַמּוֹת וְהַפֶּתַח שֵׁשׁ אַמּוֹת וְרֹחַב הַפֶּתַח שֶׁבַע אַמּֽוֹת׃
Then went he inward, and measured the post of the door, two cubits; and the door, six cubits; and the breadth of the door, seven cubits.
וּפֶתַח הַצֵּלָע לַמֻּנָּח פֶּתַח אֶחָד דֶּרֶךְ הַצָּפוֹן וּפֶתַח אֶחָד לַדָּרוֹם וְרֹחַב מְקוֹם הַמֻּנָּח חָמֵשׁ אַמּוֹת סָבִיב׀ סָבִֽיב׃
And the doors of the side chambers were toward the place that was left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south: and the breadth of the place that was left was five cubits round about.
עַל-מֵעַל הַפֶּתַח וְעַד-הַבַּיִת הַפְּנִימִי וְלַחוּץ וְאֶל-כָּל-הַקִּיר סָבִיב׀ סָבִיב בַּפְּנִימִי וּבַחִיצוֹן מִדּֽוֹת׃
To that above the door, even unto the inner house, and without, and by all the wall round about within and without, by measure.
מֵהָאָרֶץ עַד-מֵעַל הַפֶּתַח הַכְּרוּבִים וְהַתִּֽמֹרִים עֲשׂוּיִם וְקִיר הַׄהֵׄיׄכָֽׄלׄ׃
From the ground unto above the door were cherubims and palm trees made, and on the wall of the temple.
וּשְׁתַּיִם דְּלָתוֹת לַדְּלָתוֹת שְׁתַּיִם מוּסַבּוֹת דְּלָתוֹת שְׁתַּיִם לְדֶלֶת אֶחָת וּשְׁתֵּי דְלָתוֹת לָאַחֶֽרֶת׃
And the doors had two leaves apiece, two turning leaves; two leaves for the one door, and two leaves for the other door.
וַעֲשׂוּיָה אֲלֵיהֶן אֶל-דַּלְתוֹת הַֽהֵיכָל כְּרוּבִים וְתִֽמֹרִים כַּאֲשֶׁר עֲשׂוּיִם לַקִּירוֹת וְעָב עֵץ אֶל-פְּנֵי הָאוּלָם מֵהַחֽוּץ׃
And there were made on them, on the doors of the temple, cherubims and palm trees, like as were made upon the walls; and there were thick planks upon the face of the porch without.
אֶל-פְּנֵי-אֹרֶךְ אַמּוֹת הַמֵּאָה פֶּתַח הַצָּפוֹן וְהָרֹחַב חֲמִשִּׁים אַמּֽוֹת׃
Before the length of an hundred cubits was the north door, and the breadth was fifty cubits.
וְלִפְנֵי הַלְּשָׁכוֹת מַהֲלַךְ עֶשֶׂר אַמּוֹת רֹחַב אֶל-הַפְּנִימִית דֶּרֶךְ אַמָּה אֶחָת וּפִתְחֵיהֶם לַצָּפֽוֹן׃
And before the chambers was a walk of ten cubits breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors toward the north.
וְדֶרֶךְ לִפְנֵיהֶם כְּמַרְאֵה הַלְּשָׁכוֹת אֲשֶׁר דֶּרֶךְ הַצָּפוֹן כְּאָרְכָּן כֵּן רָחְבָּן וְכֹל מוֹצָאֵיהֶן וּכְמִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶן וּכְפִתְחֵיהֶֽן׃
And the way before them was like the appearance of the chambers which were toward the north, as long as they, and as broad they: as and all their goings out were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors.
וּכְפִתְחֵי הַלְּשָׁכוֹת אֲשֶׁר דֶּרֶךְ הַדָּרוֹם פֶּתַח בְּרֹאשׁ דָּרֶךְ דֶּרֶךְ בִּפְנֵי הַגְּדֶרֶת הֲגִינָה דֶּרֶךְ הַקָּדִים בְּבוֹאָֽן׃
And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one entereth into them.
וְהִשְׁתַּחֲווּ עַם-הָאָרֶץ פֶּתַח הַשַּׁעַר הַהוּא בַּשַּׁבָּתוֹת וּבֶחֳדָשִׁים לִפְנֵי יְהוָֽה׃
Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD in the sabbaths and in the new moons.
וַיְשִׁבֵנִי אֶל-פֶּתַח הַבַּיִת וְהִנֵּה-מַיִם יֹצְאִים מִתַּחַת מִפְתַּן הַבַּיִת קָדִימָה כִּֽי-פְנֵי הַבַּיִת קָדִים וְהַמַּיִם יֹרְדִים מִתַּחַת מִכֶּתֶף הַבַּיִת הַיְמָנִית מִנֶּגֶב לַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃
Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
וְנָתַתִּי לָהּ אֶת-כְּרָמֶיהָ מִשָּׁם וְאֶת-עֵמֶק עָכוֹר לְפֶתַח תִּקְוָה וְעָנְתָה שָּׁמָּה כִּימֵי נְעוּרֶיהָ וִּכְיוֹם עֲלוֹתָהּ מֵאֶֽרֶץ-מִצְרָֽיִם׃
And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
וְרָעוּ אֶת-אֶרֶץ אַשּׁוּר בַּחֶרֶב וְאֶת-אֶרֶץ נִמְרֹד בִּפְתָחֶיהָ וְהִצִּיל מֵֽאַשּׁוּר כִּֽי-יָבוֹא בְאַרְצֵנוּ וְכִי יִדְרֹךְ בִּגְבוּלֵֽנוּ׃
And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
אַל-תַּאֲמִינוּ בְרֵעַ אַֽל-תִּבְטְחוּ בְּאַלּוּף מִשֹּׁכֶבֶת חֵיקֶךָ שְׁמֹר פִּתְחֵי-פִֽיךָ׃
Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
פְּתַח לְבָנוֹן דְּלָתֶיךָ וְתֹאכַל אֵשׁ בַּאֲרָזֶֽיךָ׃
Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.
מִי גַם-בָּכֶם וְיִסְגֹּר דְּלָתַיִם וְלֹֽא-תָאִירוּ מִזְבְּחִי חִנָּם אֵֽין-לִי חֵפֶץ בָּכֶם אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת וּמִנְחָה לֹֽא-אֶרְצֶה מִיֶּדְכֶֽם׃
Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
