For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ποιήσει τὴν ἐκδίκησιν αὐτῶν ἐν τάχει πλὴν ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐλθὼν ἆρα εὑρήσει τὴν πίστιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. when Nevertheless the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
לֵךְ עַמִּי בֹּא בַחֲדָרֶיךָ וּֽסְגֹר (דלתיך) דְּלָתְךָ בַּעֲדֶךָ חֲבִי כִמְעַט-רֶגַע עַד-(יעבור) יַעֲבָר-זָֽעַם׃
Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
הַקָּטֹן יִֽהְיֶה לָאֶלֶף וְהַצָּעִיר לְגוֹי עָצוּם אֲנִי יְהוָה בְּעִתָּהּ אֲחִישֶֽׁנָּה׃
A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
Λέγει ὁ μαρτυρῶν ταῦτα Ναί ἔρχομαι ταχύ. Ἀμήν ναί ἔρχου κύριε Ἰησοῦ
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Ἓν δὲ τοῦτο μὴ λανθανέτω ὑμᾶς ἀγαπητοί ὅτι μία ἡμέρα παρὰ κυρίῳ ὡς χίλια ἔτη καὶ χίλια ἔτη ὡς ἡμέρα μία
But, beloved, be not of ignorant this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
εἶπεν αὐτῷ Σὺ εἶ ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἢ ἕτερον προσδοκῶμεν
And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
