Hebrews 12:6

ὃν γὰρ ἀγαπᾷ κύριος παιδεύει μαστιγοῖ δὲ πάντα υἱὸν ὃν παραδέχεται
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
