For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
הֵן לֹֽא-קָצְרָה יַד-יְהוָה מֵֽהוֹשִׁיעַ וְלֹא-כָבְדָה אָזְנוֹ מִשְּׁמֽוֹעַ׃
Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
מַהֵר הִמָּלֵט שָׁמָּה כִּי לֹא אוּכַל לַֽעֲשׂוֹת דָּבָר עַד-בֹּֽאֲךָ שָׁמָּה עַל-כֵּן קָרָא שֵׁם-הָעִיר צֽוֹעַר׃
Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
וַיַּרְא כִּי לֹא יָכֹל לוֹ וַיִּגַּע בְּכַף-יְרֵכוֹ וַתֵּקַע כַּף-יֶרֶךְ יַֽעֲקֹב בְּהֵֽאָבְקוֹ עִמּֽוֹ׃
And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
