But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
οἱ δὲ ἀπειθοῦντες Ἰουδαῖοι ἐπήγειραν καὶ ἐκάκωσαν τὰς ψυχὰς τῶν ἐθνῶν κατὰ τῶν ἀδελφῶν
But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made evil affected their minds against the brethren.
πολλοὶ οὖν Ἐκ τοῦ ὄχλου ἀκούσαντες τὸν λόγον ἔλεγον Οὗτός ἐστιν ἀληθῶς ὁ προφήτης·
Many of the this people therefore, when they heard saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.

Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.
