Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
וְאָמַרְתָּ כֹּה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה לִירוּשָׁלִַם מְכֹרֹתַיִךְ וּמֹלְדֹתַיִךְ מֵאֶרֶץ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי אָבִיךְ הָאֱמֹרִי וְאִמֵּךְ חִתִּֽית׃
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.
וְאָמַרְתָּ מָה אִמְּךָ לְבִיָּא בֵּין אֲרָיוֹת רָבָצָה בְּתוֹךְ כְּפִרִים רִבְּתָה גוּרֶֽיהָ׃
And say, What is thy mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her whelps among young lions.
לָכֵן חַי-אָנִי נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה כִּֽי-לְדָם אֶעֶשְׂךָ וְדָם יִרְדֲּפֶךָ אִם-לֹא דָם שָׂנֵאתָ וְדָם יִרְדֲּפֶֽךָ׃
Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.
כִּי אֵין עֵינֶיךָ וְלִבְּךָ כִּי אִם-עַל-בִּצְעֶךָ וְעַל דַּֽם-הַנָּקִי לִשְׁפּוֹךְ וְעַל-הָעֹשֶׁק וְעַל-הַמְּרוּצָה לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃
But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.
