וַיָּקָם וַיֹּאכַל וַיִּשְׁתֶּה וַיֵּלֶךְ בְּכֹחַ׀ הָֽאֲכִילָה הַהִיא אַרְבָּעִים יוֹם וְאַרְבָּעִים לַיְלָה עַד הַר הָֽאֱלֹהִים חֹרֵֽב׃

Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.

Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.

Forasmuch as then the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also took himself likewise part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Πρωΐας δὲ ἐπανάγων εἰς τὴν πόλιν ἐπείνασεν
Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.
