Psalms 46

Superscription to the sons of Korah

לַמְנַצֵּחַ לִבְנֵי-קֹרַח עַֽל-עֲלָמוֹת שִֽׁיר׃

To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.

אֱלֹהִים לָנוּ מַחֲסֶה וָעֹז עֶזְרָה בְצָרוֹת נִמְצָא מְאֹֽד׃

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

עַל-כֵּן לֹא-נִירָא בְּהָמִיר אָרֶץ וּבְמוֹט הָרִים בְּלֵב יַמִּֽים׃

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

יֶהֱמוּ יֶחְמְרוּ מֵימָיו יִרְעֲשֽׁוּ הָרִים בְּגַאֲוָתוֹ סֶֽלָה׃

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

נָהָר פְּלָגָיו יְשַׂמְּחוּ עִיר-אֱלֹהִים קְדֹשׁ מִשְׁכְּנֵי עֶלְיֽוֹן׃

There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

אֱלֹהִים בְּקִרְבָּהּ בַּל-תִּמּוֹט יַעְזְרֶהָ אֱלֹהִים לִפְנוֹת בֹּֽקֶר׃

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

הָמוּ גוֹיִם מָטוּ מַמְלָכוֹת נָתַן בְּקוֹלוֹ תָּמוּג אָֽרֶץ׃

The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת עִמָּנוּ מִשְׂגָּֽב-לָנוּ אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב סֶֽלָה׃

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

לְֽכוּ-חֲזוּ מִפְעֲלוֹת יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר-שָׂם שַׁמּוֹת בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

מַשְׁבִּית מִלְחָמוֹת עַד-קְצֵה הָאָרֶץ קֶשֶׁת יְשַׁבֵּר וְקִצֵּץ חֲנִית עֲגָלוֹת יִשְׂרֹף בָּאֵֽשׁ׃

He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth sunder; the spear in he burneth the chariot in the fire.

הַרְפּוּ וּדְעוּ כִּי-אָנֹכִי אֱלֹהִים אָרוּם בַּגּוֹיִם אָרוּם בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת עִמָּנוּ מִשְׂגָּֽב-לָנוּ אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב סֶֽלָה׃

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
