בֶּן-(ציף) צוּף בֶּן-אֶלְקָנָה בֶּן-מַחַת בֶּן-עֲמָשָֽׂי׃
The son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,
וְרוּחַ לָֽבְשָׁה אֶת-עֲמָשַׂי רֹאשׁ (השלושים) הַשָּׁלִישִׁים לְךָ דָוִיד וְעִמְּךָ בֶן-יִשַׁי שָׁלוֹם׀ שָׁלוֹם לְךָ וְשָׁלוֹם לְעֹזְרֶךָ כִּי עֲזָֽרְךָ אֱלֹהֶיךָ וַיְקַבְּלֵם דָּוִיד וַֽיִּתְּנֵם בְּרָאשֵׁי הַגְּדֽוּד׃
Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
וּשְׁבַנְיָהוּ וְיֽוֹשָׁפָט וּנְתַנְאֵל וַֽעֲמָשַׂי וּזְכַרְיָהוּ וּבְנָיָהוּ וֶֽאֱלִיעֶזֶר הַכֹּהֲנִים (מחצצרים) מַחְצְרִים בַּחֲצֹצְרוֹת לִפְנֵי אֲרוֹן הָֽאֱלֹהִים וְעֹבֵד אֱדֹם וִֽיחִיָּה שֹֽׁעֲרִים לָֽאָרֽוֹן׃
And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
וַיָּקֻמוּ הַלְוִיִּם מַחַת בֶּן-עֲמָשַׂי וְיוֹאֵל בֶּן-עֲזַרְיָהוּ מִן-בְּנֵי הַקְּהָתִי וּמִן-בְּנֵי מְרָרִי קִישׁ בֶּן-עַבְדִּי וַֽעֲזַרְיָהוּ בֶּן-יְהַלֶּלְאֵל וּמִן-הַגֵּרְשֻׁנִּי יוֹאָח בֶּן-זִמָּה וְעֵדֶן בֶּן-יוֹאָֽח׃
