וַיְהִי הֵם מְרִיקִים שַׂקֵּיהֶם וְהִנֵּה-אִישׁ צְרוֹר-כַּסְפּוֹ בְּשַׂקּוֹ וַיִּרְאוּ אֶת-צְרֹרוֹת כַּסְפֵּיהֶם הֵמָּה וַֽאֲבִיהֶם וַיִּירָֽאוּ׃
And it came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that, behold, every man's bundle of money was in his sack: and when both they and their father saw the bundles of money, they were afraid.
וַיְהִי-אִישׁ (מבן) (ימין) מִבִּנְיָמִין וּשְׁמוֹ קִישׁ בֶּן-אֲבִיאֵל בֶּן-צְרוֹר בֶּן-בְּכוֹרַת בֶּן-אֲפִיחַ בֶּן-אִישׁ יְמִינִי גִּבּוֹר חָֽיִל׃
Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose name was Kish, the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Bechorath, the son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, a mighty man of power.
וַיָּקָם אָדָם לִרְדָפְךָ וּלְבַקֵּשׁ אֶת-נַפְשֶׁךָ וְֽהָיְתָה נֶפֶשׁ אֲדֹנִי צְרוּרָה׀ בִּצְרוֹר הַֽחַיִּים אֵת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְאֵת נֶפֶשׁ אֹֽיְבֶיךָ יְקַלְּעֶנָּה בְּתוֹךְ כַּף הַקָּֽלַע׃
Yet a man is risen to pursue thee, and to seek thy soul: but the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as out of the middle of a sling.
וְאִם-אֶל-עִיר יֵֽאָסֵף וְהִשִּׂיאוּ כָֽל-יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל-הָעִיר הַהִיא חֲבָלִים וְסָחַבְנוּ אֹתוֹ עַד-הַנַּחַל עַד אֲשֶֽׁר-לֹֽא-נִמְצָא שָׁם גַּם-צְרֽוֹר׃
Moreover, if he be gotten into a city, then shall all Israel bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the river, until there be not one small stone found there.
חָתֻם בִּצְרוֹר פִּשְׁעִי וַתִּטְפֹּל עַל-עֲוֹנִֽי׃
My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity.
צְֽרוֹר-הַכֶּסֶף לָקַח בְּיָדוֹ לְיוֹם הַכֵּסֶא יָבֹא בֵיתֽוֹ׃
He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.
צְרוֹר הַמֹּר׀ דּוֹדִי לִי בֵּין שָׁדַי יָלִֽין׃
A bundle of myrrh is my wellbeloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts.
כִּֽי-הִנֵּה אָֽנֹכִי מְצַוֶּה וַהֲנִעוֹתִי בְכָֽל-הַגּוֹיִם אֶת-בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל כַּאֲשֶׁר יִנּוֹעַ בַּכְּבָרָה וְלֹֽא-יִפּוֹל צְרוֹר אָֽרֶץ׃
For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
זְרַעְתֶּם הַרְבֵּה וְהָבֵא מְעָט אָכוֹל וְאֵין-לְשָׂבְעָה שָׁתוֹ וְאֵין-לְשָׁכְרָה לָבוֹשׁ וְאֵין-לְחֹם לוֹ וְהַמִּשְׂתַּכֵּר מִשְׂתַּכֵּר אֶל-צְרוֹר נָקֽוּב׃
Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
