יָאִיר בֶּן-מְנַשֶּׁה לָקַח אֶת-כָּל-חֶבֶל אַרְגֹּב עַד-גְּבוּל הַגְּשׁוּרִי וְהַמַּֽעֲכָתִי וַיִּקְרָא אֹתָם עַל-שְׁמוֹ אֶת-הַבָּשָׁן חַוֹּת יָאִיר עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashan-havoth-jair, unto this day.
וּמֹשֵׁל בְּהַר חֶרְמוֹן וּבְסַלְכָה וּבְכָל-הַבָּשָׁן עַד-גְּבוּל הַגְּשׁוּרִי וְהַמַּֽעֲכָתִי וַֽחֲצִי הַגִּלְעָד גְּבוּל סִיחוֹן מֶֽלֶךְ-חֶשְׁבּֽוֹן׃
And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.
זֹאת הָאָרֶץ הַנִּשְׁאָרֶת כָּל-גְּלִילוֹת הַפְּלִשְׁתִּים וְכָל-הַגְּשׁוּרִֽי׃
This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,
וְהַגִּלְעָד וּגְבוּל הַגְּשׁוּרִי וְהַמַּֽעֲכָתִי וְכֹל הַר חֶרְמוֹן וְכָל-הַבָּשָׁן עַד-סַלְכָֽה׃
And Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah;
וְלֹא הוֹרִישׁוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת-הַגְּשׁוּרִי וְאֶת-הַמַּֽעֲכָתִי וַיֵּשֶׁב גְּשׁוּר וּמַֽעֲכָת בְּקֶרֶב יִשְׂרָאֵל עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day.
וַיַּעַל דָּוִד וַֽאֲנָשָׁיו וַֽיִּפְשְׁטוּ אֶל-הַגְּשׁוּרִי (והגרזי) וְהַגִּזְרִי וְהָעֲמָֽלֵקִי כִּי הֵנָּה יֹֽשְׁבוֹת הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר מֵֽעוֹלָם בּֽוֹאֲךָ שׁוּרָה וְעַד-אֶרֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the Amalekites: for those nations were of old the inhabitants of the land, as thou goest to Shur, even unto the land of Egypt.
