Where Ain appears in Scripture
וְיָרַד הַגְּבֻל מִשְּׁפָם הָֽרִבְלָה מִקֶּדֶם לָעָיִן וְיָרַד הַגְּבֻל וּמָחָה עַל-כֶּתֶף יָם-כִּנֶּרֶת קֵֽדְמָה׃
And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:
וּלְבָאוֹת וְשִׁלְחִים וְעַיִן וְרִמּוֹן כָּל-עָרִים עֶשְׂרִים וָתֵשַׁע וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃
And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all the cities are twenty and nine, with their villages:
עַיִן׀ רִמּוֹן וָעֶתֶר וְעָשָׁן עָרִים אַרְבַּע וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃
Ain, Remmon, and Ether, and Ashan; four cities and their villages:
וְאֶת-עַיִן וְאֶת-מִגְרָשֶׁהָ וְאֶת-יֻטָּה וְאֶת-מִגְרָשֶׁהָ אֶת-בֵּית שֶׁמֶשׁ וְאֶת-מִגְרָשֶׁהָ עָרִים תֵּשַׁע מֵאֵת שְׁנֵי הַשְּׁבָטִים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃
And Ain with her suburbs, and Juttah with her suburbs, and Beth-shemesh with her suburbs; nine cities out of those two tribes.
וְחַצְרֵיהֶם עֵיטָם וָעַיִן רִמּוֹן וְתֹכֶן וְעָשָׁן עָרִים חָמֵֽשׁ׃
And their villages were, Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities:
