אֽוֹיָה-לִי כִּי-גַרְתִּי מֶשֶׁךְ שָׁכַנְתִּי עִֽם-אָהֳלֵי קֵדָֽר׃
Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
אִם-אָבֹא בְּאֹהֶל בֵּיתִי אִם-אֶעֱלֶה עַל-עֶרֶשׂ יְצוּעָֽי׃
Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;
עַד-אֶמְצָא מָקוֹם לַיהוָה מִשְׁכָּנוֹת לַאֲבִיר יַעֲקֹֽב׃
Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.
נָבוֹאָה לְמִשְׁכְּנוֹתָיו נִשְׁתַּחֲוֶה לַהֲדֹם רַגְלָֽיו׃
We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.
בֵּית רְשָׁעִים יִשָּׁמֵד וְאֹהֶל יְשָׁרִים יַפְרִֽיחַ׃
The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
שְׁחוֹרָה אֲנִי וְֽנָאוָה בְּנוֹת יְרוּשָׁלִָם כְּאָהֳלֵי קֵדָר כִּירִיעוֹת שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃
I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
אִם-לֹא תֵדְעִי לָךְ הַיָּפָה בַּנָּשִׁים צְֽאִי-לָךְ בְּעִקְבֵי הַצֹּאן וּרְעִי אֶת-גְּדִיֹּתַיִךְ עַל מִשְׁכְּנוֹת הָרֹעִֽים׃
If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds' tents.
וְהָיָה לְמִקְדָּשׁ וּלְאֶבֶן נֶגֶף וּלְצוּר מִכְשׁוֹל לִשְׁנֵי בָתֵּי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְפַח וּלְמוֹקֵשׁ לְיוֹשֵׁב יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
וְהוּכַן בַּחֶסֶד כִּסֵּא וְיָשַׁב עָלָיו בֶּאֱמֶת בְּאֹהֶל דָּוִד שֹׁפֵט וְדֹרֵשׁ מִשְׁפָּט וּמְהִר צֶֽדֶק׃
And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.
וְהָיָה כִֽי-נִרְאָה כִּֽי-נִלְאָה מוֹאָב עַל-הַבָּמָה וּבָא אֶל-מִקְדָּשׁוֹ לְהִתְפַּלֵּל וְלֹא יוּכָֽל׃
And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.
מַה-לְּךָ פֹה וּמִי לְךָ פֹה כִּֽי-חָצַבְתָּ לְּךָ פֹּה קָבֶר חֹצְבִי מָרוֹם קִבְרוֹ חֹקְקִי בַסֶּלַע מִשְׁכָּן לֽוֹ׃
What hast thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth an habitation for himself in a rock?
וְיָשַׁב עַמִּי בִּנְוֵה שָׁלוֹם וּֽבְמִשְׁכְּנוֹת מִבְטַחִים וּבִמְנוּחֹת שַׁאֲנַנּֽוֹת׃
And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
חֲזֵה צִיּוֹן קִרְיַת מֽוֹעֲדֵנוּ עֵינֶיךָ תִרְאֶינָה יְרוּשָׁלִַם נָוֶה שַׁאֲנָן אֹהֶל בַּל-יִצְעָן בַּל-יִסַּע יְתֵֽדֹתָיו לָנֶצַח וְכָל-חֲבָלָיו בַּל-יִנָּתֵֽקוּ׃
Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
דּוֹרִי נִסַּע וְנִגְלָה מִנִּי כְּאֹהֶל רֹעִי קִפַּדְתִּי כָאֹרֵג חַיַּי מִדַּלָּה יְבַצְּעֵנִי מִיּוֹם עַד-לַיְלָה תַּשְׁלִימֵֽנִי׃
Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd's tent: I have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.
הַיֹּשֵׁב עַל-חוּג הָאָרֶץ וְיֹשְׁבֶיהָ כַּחֲגָבִים הַנּוֹטֶה כַדֹּק שָׁמַיִם וַיִּמְתָּחֵם כָּאֹהֶל לָשָֽׁבֶת׃
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
הַרְחִיבִי׀ מְקוֹם אָהֳלֵךְ וִירִיעוֹת מִשְׁכְּנוֹתַיִךְ יַטּוּ אַל-תַּחְשֹׂכִי הַאֲרִיכִי מֵֽיתָרַיִךְ וִיתֵדֹתַיִךְ חַזֵּֽקִי׃
Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
כְּבוֹד הַלְּבָנוֹן אֵלַיִךְ יָבוֹא בְּרוֹשׁ תִּדְהָר וּתְאַשּׁוּר יַחְדָּו לְפָאֵר מְקוֹם מִקְדָּשִׁי וּמְקוֹם רַגְלַי אֲכַבֵּֽד׃
The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
לַמִּצְעָר יָרְשׁוּ עַם-קָדְשֶׁךָ צָרֵינוּ בּוֹסְסוּ מִקְדָּשֶֽׁךָ׃
The people of thy holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.
שֶׁבֶר עַל-שֶׁבֶר נִקְרָא כִּי שֻׁדְּדָה כָּל-הָאָרֶץ פִּתְאֹם שֻׁדְּדוּ אֹהָלַי רֶגַע יְרִיעֹתָֽי׃
Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.
אֵלֶיהָ יָבֹאוּ רֹעִים וְעֶדְרֵיהֶם תָּקְעוּ עָלֶיהָ אֹהָלִים סָבִיב רָעוּ אִישׁ אֶת-יָדֽוֹ׃
The shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her; they shall pitch their tents against her round about; they shall feed every one in his place.
כִּי קוֹל נְהִי נִשְׁמַע מִצִּיּוֹן אֵיךְ שֻׁדָּדְנוּ בֹּשְׁנֽוּ מְאֹד כִּֽי-עָזַבְנוּ אָרֶץ כִּי הִשְׁלִיכוּ מִשְׁכְּנוֹתֵֽינוּ׃
For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast us out.
אָהֳלִי שֻׁדָּד וְכָל-מֵיתָרַי נִתָּקוּ בָּנַי יְצָאֻנִי וְאֵינָם אֵין-נֹטֶה עוֹד אָהֳלִי וּמֵקִים יְרִיעוֹתָֽי׃
My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.
כִּסֵּא כָבוֹד מָרוֹם מֵֽרִאשׁוֹן מְקוֹם מִקְדָּשֵֽׁנוּ׃
A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary.
כֹּה׀ אָמַר יְהוָה הִנְנִי-שָׁב שְׁבוּת אָהֳלֵי יַֽעֲקוֹב וּמִשְׁכְּנֹתָיו אֲרַחֵם וְנִבְנְתָה עִיר עַל-תִּלָּהּ וְאַרְמוֹן עַל-מִשְׁפָּטוֹ יֵשֵֽׁב׃
Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
וּבַיִת לֹֽא-תִבְנוּ וְזֶרַע לֹֽא-תִזְרָעוּ וְכֶרֶם לֹֽא-תִטָּעוּ וְלֹא יִֽהְיֶה לָכֶם כִּי בָּאֳהָלִים תֵּֽשְׁבוּ כָּל-יְמֵיכֶם לְמַעַן תִּֽחְיוּ יָמִים רַבִּים עַל-פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם גָּרִים שָֽׁם׃
Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land where ye be strangers.
וַנֵּשֶׁב בָּֽאֳהָלִים וַנִּשְׁמַע וַנַּעַשׂ כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר-צִוָּנוּ יוֹנָדָב אָבִֽינוּ׃
But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.
כִּי אִם-הִכִּיתֶם כָּל-חֵיל כַּשְׂדִּים הַנִּלְחָמִים אִתְּכֶם וְנִשְׁאֲרוּ-בָם אֲנָשִׁים מְדֻקָּרִים אִישׁ בְּאָהֳלוֹ יָקוּמוּ וְשָֽׂרְפוּ אֶת-הָעִיר הַזֹּאת בָּאֵֽשׁ׃
For though ye had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that fight against you, and there remained but wounded men among them, yet should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.
אָהֳלֵיהֶם וְצֹאנָם יִקָּחוּ יְרִיעוֹתֵיהֶם וְכָל-כְּלֵיהֶם וּגְמַלֵּיהֶם יִשְׂאוּ לָהֶם וְקָרְאוּ עֲלֵיהֶם מָגוֹר מִסָּבִֽיב׃
Their tents and their flocks shall they take away: they shall take to themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels; and they shall cry unto them, Fear is on every side.
חָדְלוּ גִבּוֹרֵי בָבֶל לְהִלָּחֵם יָֽשְׁבוּ בַּמְּצָדוֹת נָשְׁתָה גְבוּרָתָם הָיוּ לְנָשִׁים הִצִּיתוּ מִשְׁכְּנֹתֶיהָ נִשְׁבְּרוּ בְרִיחֶֽיהָ׃
The mighty men of Babylon have forborn to fight, they have remained in their holds: their might hath failed; they became as women: they have burned her dwellingplaces; her bars are broken.
בֹּשְׁנוּ כִּֽי-שָׁמַעְנוּ חֶרְפָּה כִּסְּתָה כְלִמָּה פָּנֵינוּ כִּי בָּאוּ זָרִים עַֽל-מִקְדְּשֵׁי בֵּית יְהוָֽה׃
We are confounded, because we have heard reproach: shame hath covered our faces: for strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the LORD's house.
יָדוֹ פָּרַשׂ צָר עַל כָּל-מַחֲמַדֶּיהָ כִּֽי-רָאֲתָה גוֹיִם בָּאוּ מִקְדָּשָׁהּ אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתָה לֹא-יָבֹאוּ בַקָּהָל לָֽךְ׃
The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation.
דָּרַךְ קַשְׁתּוֹ כְּאוֹיֵב נִצָּב יְמִינוֹ כְּצָר וַֽיַּהֲרֹג כֹּל מַחֲמַדֵּי-עָיִן בְּאֹהֶל בַּת-צִיּוֹן שָׁפַךְ כָּאֵשׁ חֲמָתֽוֹ׃
He hath bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right hand as an adversary, and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like fire.
זָנַח אֲדֹנָי׀ מִזְבְּחוֹ נִאֵר מִקְדָּשׁוֹ הִסְגִּיר בְּיַד-אוֹיֵב חוֹמֹת אַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָ קוֹל נָתְנוּ בְּבֵית-יְהוָה כְּיוֹם מוֹעֵֽד׃
The Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast.
רְאֵה יְהוָה וְֽהַבִּיטָה לְמִי עוֹלַלְתָּ כֹּה אִם-תֹּאכַלְנָה נָשִׁים פִּרְיָם עֹלֲלֵי טִפֻּחִים אִם-יֵהָרֵג בְּמִקְדַּשׁ אֲדֹנָי כֹּהֵן וְנָבִֽיא׃
Behold, O LORD, and consider to whom thou hast done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?
לָכֵן חַי-אָנִי נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה אִם-לֹא יַעַן אֶת-מִקְדָּשִׁי טִמֵּאת בְּכָל-שִׁקּוּצַיִךְ וּבְכָל-תּוֹעֲבֹתָיִךְ וְגַם-אֲנִי אֶגְרַע וְלֹא-תָחוֹס עֵינִי וְגַם-אֲנִי לֹא אֶחְמֽוֹל׃
Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.
וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלַי בֶּן-אָדָם הֲרֹאֶה אַתָּה (מהם) מָה הֵם עֹשִׂים תּוֹעֵבוֹת גְּדֹלוֹת אֲשֶׁר בֵּֽית-יִשְׂרָאֵל׀ עֹשִׂים פֹּה לְרָֽחֳקָה מֵעַל מִקְדָּשִׁי וְעוֹד תָּשׁוּב תִּרְאֶה תּוֹעֵבוֹת גְּדֹלֽוֹת׃
He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.
זָקֵן בָּחוּר וּבְתוּלָה וְטַף וְנָשִׁים תַּהַרְגוּ לְמַשְׁחִית וְעַל-כָּל-אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר-עָלָיו הַתָּו אַל-תִּגַּשׁוּ וּמִמִּקְדָּשִׁי תָּחֵלּוּ וַיָּחֵלּוּ בָּאֲנָשִׁים הַזְּקֵנִים אֲשֶׁר לִפְנֵי הַבָּֽיִת׃
Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
לָכֵן אֱמֹר כֹּֽה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה כִּי הִרְחַקְתִּים בַּגּוֹיִם וְכִי הֲפִֽיצוֹתִים בָּאֲרָצוֹת וָאֱהִי לָהֶם לְמִקְדָּשׁ מְעַט בָּאֲרָצוֹת אֲשֶׁר-בָּאוּ שָֽׁם׃
Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.
בֶּן-אָדָם שִׂים פָּנֶיךָ אֶל-יְרוּשָׁלִַם וְהַטֵּף אֶל-מִקְדָּשִׁים וְהִנָּבֵא אֶל-אַדְמַת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
עוֹד זֹאת עָשׂוּ לִי טִמְּאוּ אֶת-מִקְדָּשִׁי בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא וְאֶת-שַׁבְּתוֹתַי חִלֵּֽלוּ׃
Moreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my sabbaths.
וּֽבְשַׁחֲטָם אֶת-בְּנֵיהֶם לְגִלּוּלֵיהֶם וַיָּבֹאוּ אֶל-מִקְדָּשִׁי בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא לְחַלְּלוֹ וְהִנֵּה-כֹה עָשׂוּ בְּתוֹךְ בֵּיתִֽי׃
For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of mine house.
אֱמֹר׀ לְבֵית יִשְׂרָאֵל כֹּֽה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הִנְנִי מְחַלֵּל אֶת-מִקְדָּשִׁי גְּאוֹן עֻזְּכֶם מַחְמַד עֵֽינֵיכֶם וּמַחְמַל נַפְשְׁכֶם וּבְנֵיכֶם וּבְנֽוֹתֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר עֲזַבְתֶּם בַּחֶרֶב יִפֹּֽלוּ׃
Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword.
וְאָֽמַרְתָּ לִבְנֵי עַמּוֹן שִׁמְעוּ דְּבַר-אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה כֹּה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה יַעַן אָמְרֵךְ הֶאָח אֶל-מִקְדָּשִׁי כִֽי-נִחָל וְאֶל-אַדְמַת יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי נָשַׁמָּה וְאֶל-בֵּית יְהוּדָה כִּי הָלְכוּ בַּגּוֹלָֽה׃
And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity;
לָכֵן הִנְנִי נֹתְנָךְ לִבְנֵי-קֶדֶם לְמֽוֹרָשָׁה וְיִשְּׁבוּ טִירֽוֹתֵיהֶם בָּךְ וְנָתְנוּ בָךְ מִשְׁכְּנֵיהֶם הֵמָּה יֹאכְלוּ פִרְיֵךְ וְהֵמָּה יִשְׁתּוּ חֲלָבֵֽךְ׃
Behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.
מֵרֹב עֲוֹנֶיךָ בְּעֶוֶל רְכֻלָּתְךָ חִלַּלְתָּ מִקְדָּשֶׁיךָ וָֽאוֹצִא-אֵשׁ מִתּֽוֹכְךָ הִיא אֲכָלַתְךָ וָאֶתֶּנְךָ לְאֵפֶר עַל-הָאָרֶץ לְעֵינֵי כָּל-רֹאֶֽיךָ׃
Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
וְכָרַתִּי לָהֶם בְּרִית שָׁלוֹם בְּרִית עוֹלָם יִהְיֶה אוֹתָם וּנְתַתִּים וְהִרְבֵּיתִי אוֹתָם וְנָתַתִּי אֶת-מִקְדָּשִׁי בְּתוֹכָם לְעוֹלָֽם׃
Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
וְהָיָה מִשְׁכָּנִי עֲלֵיהֶם וְהָיִיתִי לָהֶם לֵֽאלֹהִים וְהֵמָּה יִֽהְיוּ-לִי לְעָֽם׃
My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
וְיָֽדְעוּ הַגּוֹיִם כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה מְקַדֵּשׁ אֶת-יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּהְיוֹת מִקְדָּשִׁי בְּתוֹכָם לְעוֹלָֽם׃
And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
וַיְבִיאֵנִי אֶל-הַהֵיכָל וַיָּמָד אֶת-הָאֵילִים שֵׁשׁ-אַמּוֹת רֹחַב מִפּוֹ וְשֵׁשׁ-אַמּֽוֹת-רֹחַב מִפּוֹ רֹחַב הָאֹֽהֶל׃
Afterward he brought me to the temple, and measured the posts, six cubits broad on the one side, and six cubits broad on the other side, which was the breadth of the tabernacle.
וְלָקַחְתָּ אֵת הַפָּר הַֽחַטָּאת וּשְׂרָפוֹ בְּמִפְקַד הַבַּיִת מִחוּץ לַמִּקְדָּֽשׁ׃
Thou shalt take the bullock also of the sin offering, and he shall burn it in the appointed place of the house, without the sanctuary.
וַיָּשֶׁב אֹתִי דֶּרֶךְ שַׁעַר הַמִּקְדָּשׁ הַֽחִיצוֹן הַפֹּנֶה קָדִים וְהוּא סָגֽוּר׃
Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut.
וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלַי יְהוָֹה בֶּן-אָדָם שִׂים לִבְּךָ וּרְאֵה בְעֵינֶיךָ וּבְאָזְנֶיךָ שְּׁמָע אֵת כָּל-אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי מְדַבֵּר אֹתָךְ לְכָל-חֻקּוֹת בֵּית-יְהוָה וּלְכָל-(תורתו) תּֽוֹרֹתָיו וְשַׂמְתָּ לִבְּךָ לִמְבוֹא הַבַּיִת בְּכֹל מוֹצָאֵי הַמִּקְדָּֽשׁ׃
And the LORD said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary.
בַּהֲבִיאֲכֶם בְּנֵֽי-נֵכָר עַרְלֵי-לֵב וְעַרְלֵי בָשָׂר לִהְיוֹת בְּמִקְדָּשִׁי לְחַלְּלוֹ אֶת-בֵּיתִי בְּהַקְרִֽיבְכֶם אֶת-לַחְמִי חֵלֶב וָדָם וַיָּפֵרוּ אֶת-בְּרִיתִי אֶל כָּל-תּוֹעֲבוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃
In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.
וְלֹא שְׁמַרְתֶּם מִשְׁמֶרֶת קָדָשָׁי וַתְּשִׂימוּן לְשֹׁמְרֵי מִשְׁמַרְתִּי בְּמִקְדָּשִׁי לָכֶֽם׃
And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.
כֹּה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה כָּל-בֶּן-נֵכָר עֶרֶל לֵב וְעֶרֶל בָּשָׂר לֹא יָבוֹא אֶל-מִקְדָּשִׁי לְכָל-בֶּן-נֵכָר אֲשֶׁר בְּתוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Thus saith the Lord GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.
וְהָיוּ בְמִקְדָּשִׁי מְשָׁרְתִים פְּקֻדּוֹת אֶל-שַׁעֲרֵי הַבַּיִת וּֽמְשָׁרְתִים אֶת-הַבָּיִת הֵמָּה יִשְׁחֲטוּ אֶת-הָעוֹלָה וְאֶת-הַזֶּבַח לָעָם וְהֵמָּה יַעַמְדוּ לִפְנֵיהֶם לְשָֽׁרְתָֽם׃
Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them.
וְהַכֹּהֲנִים הַלְוִיִּם בְּנֵי צָדוֹק אֲשֶׁר שָׁמְרוּ אֶת-מִשְׁמֶרֶת מִקְדָּשִׁי בִּתְעוֹת בְּנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵֽעָלַי הֵמָּה יִקְרְבוּ אֵלַי לְשָֽׁרְתֵנִי וְעָמְדוּ לְפָנַי לְהַקְרִיב לִי חֵלֶב וָדָם נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִֽה׃
But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD:
הֵמָּה יָבֹאוּ אֶל-מִקְדָּשִׁי וְהֵמָּה יִקְרְבוּ אֶל-שֻׁלְחָנִי לְשָׁרְתֵנִי וְשָׁמְרוּ אֶת-מִשְׁמַרְתִּֽי׃
They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge.
וּמִן-הַמִּדָּה הַזֹּאת תָּמוֹד אֹרֶךְ (חמש) חֲמִשָּׁה וְעֶשְׂרִים אֶלֶף וְרֹחַב עֲשֶׂרֶת אֲלָפִים וּבֽוֹ-יִהְיֶה הַמִּקְדָּשׁ קֹדֶשׁ קָדָשִֽׁים׃
And of this measure shalt thou measure the length of five and twenty thousand, and the breadth of ten thousand: and in it shall be the sanctuary and the most holy place.
קֹדֶשׁ מִן-הָאָרֶץ הוּא לַכֹּהֲנִים מְשָׁרְתֵי הַמִּקְדָּשׁ יִֽהְיֶה הַקְּרֵבִים לְשָׁרֵת אֶת-יְהוָה וְהָיָה לָהֶם מָקוֹם לְבָתִּים וּמִקְדָּשׁ לַמִּקְדָּֽשׁ׃
The holy portion of the land shall be for the priests the ministers of the sanctuary, which shall come near to minister unto the LORD: and it shall be a place for their houses, and an holy place for the sanctuary.
כֹּה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה בָּֽרִאשׁוֹן בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ תִּקַּח פַּר-בֶּן-בָּקָר תָּמִים וְחִטֵּאתָ אֶת-הַמִּקְדָּֽשׁ׃
Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the first month, in the first day of the month, thou shalt take a young bullock without blemish, and cleanse the sanctuary:
וְעַל-הַנַּחַל יַעֲלֶה עַל-שְׂפָתוֹ מִזֶּה׀ וּמִזֶּה׀ כָּל-עֵֽץ-מַאֲכָל לֹא-יִבּוֹל עָלֵהוּ וְלֹֽא-יִתֹּם פִּרְיוֹ לָֽחֳדָשָׁיו יְבַכֵּר כִּי מֵימָיו מִן-הַמִּקְדָּשׁ הֵמָּה יֽוֹצְאִים (והיו) וְהָיָה פִרְיוֹ לְמַֽאֲכָל וְעָלֵהוּ לִתְרוּפָֽה׃
And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.
וְעַל גְּבוּל יְהוּדָה מִפְּאַת קָדִים עַד-פְּאַת-יָמָּה תִּהְיֶה הַתְּרוּמָה אֲֽשֶׁר-תָּרִימוּ חֲמִשָּׁה וְעֶשְׂרִים אֶלֶף רֹחַב וְאֹרֶךְ כְּאַחַד הַחֲלָקִים מִפְּאַת קָדִימָה עַד-פְּאַת-יָמָּה וְהָיָה הַמִּקְדָּשׁ בְּתוֹכֽוֹ׃
And by the border of Judah, from the east side unto the west side, shall be the offering which ye shall offer of five and twenty thousand reeds in breadth, and in length as one of the other parts, from the east side unto the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in the midst of it.
וּלְאֵלֶּה תִּהְיֶה תְרֽוּמַת-הַקֹּדֶשׁ לַכֹּֽהֲנִים צָפוֹנָה חֲמִשָּׁה וְעֶשְׂרִים אֶלֶף וְיָמָּה רֹחַב עֲשֶׂרֶת אֲלָפִים וְקָדִימָה רֹחַב עֲשֶׂרֶת אֲלָפִים וְנֶגְבָּה אֹרֶךְ חֲמִשָּׁה וְעֶשְׂרִים אָלֶף וְהָיָה מִקְדַּשׁ-יְהוָה בְּתוֹכֽוֹ׃
And for them, even for the priests, shall be this holy oblation; toward the north five and twenty thousand in length, and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the south five and twenty thousand in length: and the sanctuary of the LORD shall be in the midst thereof.
וְהַנּוֹתָר לַנָּשִׂיא מִזֶּה׀ וּמִזֶּה׀ לִתְרֽוּמַת-הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְלַאֲחֻזַּת הָעִיר אֶל-פְּנֵי חֲמִשָּׁה וְעֶשְׂרִים אֶלֶף׀ תְּרוּמָה עַד-גְּבוּל קָדִימָה וְיָמָּה עַל-פְּנֵי חֲמִשָּׁה וְעֶשְׂרִים אֶלֶף עַל-גְּבוּל יָמָּה לְעֻמַּת חֲלָקִים לַנָּשִׂיא וְהָֽיְתָה תְּרוּמַת הַקֹּדֶשׁ וּמִקְדַּשׁ הַבַּיִת בְּתוֹכֹֽה׃
And the residue shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy oblation, and of the possession of the city, over against the five and twenty thousand of the oblation toward the east border, and westward over against the five and twenty thousand toward the west border, over against the portions for the prince: and it shall be the holy oblation; and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the midst thereof.
וְעַד שַֽׂר-הַצָּבָא הִגְדִּיל וּמִמֶּנּוּ (הרים) הוּרַם הַתָּמִיד וְהֻשְׁלַךְ מְכוֹן מִקְדָּשֽׁוֹ׃
Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
וְעַתָּה׀ שְׁמַע אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֶל-תְּפִלַּת עַבְדְּךָ וְאֶל-תַּחֲנוּנָיו וְהָאֵר פָּנֶיךָ עַל-מִקְדָּשְׁךָ הַשָּׁמֵם לְמַעַן אֲדֹנָֽי׃
Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.
וּזְרֹעִים מִמֶּנּוּ יַעֲמֹדוּ וְחִלְּלוּ הַמִּקְדָּשׁ הַמָּעוֹז וְהֵסִירוּ הַתָּמִיד וְנָתְנוּ הַשִּׁקּוּץ מְשֹׁמֵֽם׃
And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
וְיִטַּע אָהֳלֶי אַפַּדְנוֹ בֵּין יַמִּים לְהַר-צְבִי-קֹדֶשׁ וּבָא עַד-קִצּוֹ וְאֵין עוֹזֵר לֽוֹ׃
And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
כִּֽי-הִנֵּה הָֽלְכוּ מִשֹּׁד מִצְרַיִם תְּקַבְּצֵם מֹף תְּקַבְּרֵם מַחְמַד לְכַסְפָּם קִמּוֹשׂ יִֽירָשֵׁם חוֹחַ בְּאָהֳלֵיהֶֽם׃
For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.
וְאָנֹכִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם עֹד אוֹשִֽׁיבְךָ בָאֳהָלִים כִּימֵי מוֹעֵֽד׃
And I that am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.
וְנָשַׁמּוּ בָּמוֹת יִשְׂחָק וּמִקְדְּשֵׁי יִשְׂרָאֵל יֶחֱרָבוּ וְקַמְתִּי עַל-בֵּית יָרָבְעָם בֶּחָֽרֶב׃
And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.
וּבֵֽית-אֵל לֹֽא-תוֹסִיף עוֹד לְהִנָּבֵא כִּי מִקְדַּשׁ-מֶלֶךְ הוּא וּבֵית מַמְלָכָה הֽוּא׃
But prophesy not again any more at Beth-el: for it is the king's chapel, and it is the king's court.
כִּֽי-הִנְנִי מֵקִים אֶת-הַכַּשְׂדִּים הַגּוֹי הַמַּר וְהַנִּמְהָר הַֽהוֹלֵךְ לְמֶרְחֲבֵי-אֶרֶץ לָרֶשֶׁת מִשְׁכָּנוֹת לֹּא-לֽוֹ׃
For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs.
תַּחַת אָוֶן רָאִיתִי אָהֳלֵי כוּשָׁן יִרְגְּזוּן יְרִיעוֹת אֶרֶץ מִדְיָֽן׃
I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.
וְהוֹשִׁעַ יְהוָה אֶת-אָהֳלֵי יְהוּדָה בָּרִֽאשֹׁנָה לְמַעַן לֹֽא-תִגְדַּל תִּפְאֶרֶת בֵּית-דָּוִיד וְתִפְאֶרֶת יֹשֵׁב יְרוּשָׁלִַם עַל-יְהוּדָֽה׃
The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.
יַכְרֵת יְהוָה לָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יַעֲשֶׂנָּה עֵר וְעֹנֶה מֵאָהֳלֵי יַֽעֲקֹב וּמַגִּישׁ מִנְחָה לַֽיהוָה צְבָאֽוֹת׃
The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.
