וַיֹּאמֶר יַֽעֲקֹב אֶל-שִׁמְעוֹן וְאֶל-לֵוִי עֲכַרְתֶּם אֹתִי לְהַבְאִישֵׁנִי בְּיֹשֵׁב הָאָרֶץ בַּֽכְּנַעֲנִי וּבַפְּרִזִּי וַֽאֲנִי מְתֵי מִסְפָּר וְנֶֽאֶסְפוּ עָלַי וְהִכּוּנִי וְנִשְׁמַדְתִּי אֲנִי וּבֵיתִֽי׃
And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled me to make me to stink among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites: and I being few in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and slay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house.
וַיִּצְבֹּר יוֹסֵף בָּר כְּחוֹל הַיָּם הַרְבֵּה מְאֹד עַד כִּֽי-חָדַל לִסְפֹּר כִּי-אֵין מִסְפָּֽר׃
And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number.
זֶה הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה לִקְטוּ מִמֶּנּוּ אִישׁ לְפִי אָכְלוֹ עֹמֶר לַגֻּלְגֹּלֶת מִסְפַּר נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם אִישׁ לַֽאֲשֶׁר בְּאָֽהֳלוֹ תִּקָּֽחוּ׃
This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.
לֹא תִֽהְיֶה מְשַׁכֵּלָה וַֽעֲקָרָה בְּאַרְצֶךָ אֶת-מִסְפַּר יָמֶיךָ אֲמַלֵּֽא׃
There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
בְּמִסְפַּר שָׁנִים אַחַר הַיּוֹבֵל תִּקְנֶה מֵאֵת עֲמִיתֶךָ בְּמִסְפַּר שְׁנֵֽי-תְבוּאֹת יִמְכָּר-לָֽךְ׃
According to the number of years after the jubile thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee:
לְפִי׀ רֹב הַשָּׁנִים תַּרְבֶּה מִקְנָתוֹ וּלְפִי מְעֹט הַשָּׁנִים תַּמְעִיט מִקְנָתוֹ כִּי מִסְפַּר תְּבוּאֹת הוּא מֹכֵר לָֽךְ׃
According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee.
וְחִשַּׁב עִם-קֹנֵהוּ מִשְּׁנַת הִמָּכְרוֹ לוֹ עַד שְׁנַת הַיֹּבֵל וְהָיָה כֶּסֶף מִמְכָּרוֹ בְּמִסְפַּר שָׁנִים כִּימֵי שָׂכִיר יִֽהְיֶה עִמּֽוֹ׃
And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him unto the year of jubile: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years, according to the time of an hired servant shall it be with him.
שְׂאוּ אֶת-רֹאשׁ כָּל-עֲדַת בְּנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמוֹת כָּל-זָכָר לְגֻלְגְּלֹתָֽם׃
Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;
וְאֵת כָּל-הָֽעֵדָה הִקְהִילוּ בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ הַשֵּׁנִי וַיִּתְיַֽלְדוּ עַל-מִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמוֹת מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה לְגֻלְגְּלֹתָֽם׃
And they assembled together all the congregation on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.
וַיִּֽהְיוּ בְנֵֽי-רְאוּבֵן בְּכֹר יִשְׂרָאֵל תּֽוֹלְדֹתָם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמוֹת לְגֻלְגְּלֹתָם כָּל-זָכָר מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה כֹּל יֹצֵא צָבָֽא׃
And the children of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
לִבְנֵי שִׁמְעוֹן תּֽוֹלְדֹתָם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם פְּקֻדָיו בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמוֹת לְגֻלְגְּלֹתָם כָּל-זָכָר מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה כֹּל יֹצֵא צָבָֽא׃
Of the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
לִבְנֵי גָד תּֽוֹלְדֹתָם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמוֹת מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה כֹּל יֹצֵא צָבָֽא׃
Of the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
לִבְנֵי יְהוּדָה תּֽוֹלְדֹתָם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמֹת מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה כֹּל יֹצֵא צָבָֽא׃

לִבְנֵי יִשָּׂשכָר תּֽוֹלְדֹתָם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמֹת מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה כֹּל יֹצֵא צָבָֽא׃
Of the children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
לִבְנֵי זְבוּלֻן תּֽוֹלְדֹתָם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמֹת מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה כֹּל יֹצֵא צָבָֽא׃
Of the children of Zebulun, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
לִבְנֵי יוֹסֵף לִבְנֵי אֶפְרַיִם תּֽוֹלְדֹתָם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמֹת מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה כֹּל יֹצֵא צָבָֽא׃
Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
לִבְנֵי מְנַשֶּׁה תּֽוֹלְדֹתָם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמוֹת מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה כֹּל יֹצֵא צָבָֽא׃

Of the children of Asher, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
בְּנֵי נַפְתָּלִי תּֽוֹלְדֹתָם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמֹת מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה כֹּל יֹצֵא צָבָֽא׃
Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
פְּקֻֽדֵיהֶם בְּמִסְפַּר כָּל-זָכָר מִבֶּן-חֹדֶשׁ וָמָעְלָה פְּקֻדֵיהֶם שִׁבְעַת אֲלָפִים וַֽחֲמֵשׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃
Those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, even those that were numbered of them were seven thousand and five hundred.
בְּמִסְפַּר כָּל-זָכָר מִבֶּן-חֹדֶשׁ וָמָעְלָה שְׁמֹנַת אֲלָפִים וְשֵׁשׁ מֵאוֹת שֹֽׁמְרֵי מִשְׁמֶרֶת הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃
In the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary.
וּפְקֻֽדֵיהֶם בְּמִסְפַּר כָּל-זָכָר מִבֶּן-חֹדֶשׁ וָמָעְלָה שֵׁשֶׁת אֲלָפִים וּמָאתָֽיִם׃
And those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand and two hundred.
וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל-מֹשֶׁה פְּקֹד כָּל-בְּכֹר זָכָר לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מִבֶּן-חֹדֶשׁ וָמָעְלָה וְשָׂא אֵת מִסְפַּר שְׁמֹתָֽם׃
And the LORD said unto Moses, Number all the firstborn of the males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.
וַיְהִי כָל-בְּכוֹר זָכָר בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמֹת מִבֶּן-חֹדֶשׁ וָמַעְלָה לִפְקֻֽדֵיהֶם שְׁנַיִם וְעֶשְׂרִים אֶלֶף שְׁלֹשָׁה וְשִׁבְעִים וּמָאתָֽיִם׃
And all the firstborn males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were twenty and two thousand two hundred and threescore and thirteen.
וְיֵשׁ אֲשֶׁר יִֽהְיֶה הֶֽעָנָן יָמִים מִסְפָּר עַל-הַמִּשְׁכָּן עַל-פִּי יְהוָה יַֽחֲנוּ וְעַל-פִּי יְהוָה יִסָּֽעוּ׃
And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.
בַּמִּדְבָּר הַזֶּה יִפְּלוּ פִגְרֵיכֶם וְכָל-פְּקֻֽדֵיכֶם לְכָל-מִסְפַּרְכֶם מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמָעְלָה אֲשֶׁר הֲלִֽינֹתֶם עָלָֽי׃
Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,
בְּמִסְפַּר הַיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר-תַּרְתֶּם אֶת-הָאָרֶץ אַרְבָּעִים יוֹם יוֹם לַשָּׁנָה יוֹם לַשָּׁנָה תִּשְׂאוּ אֶת-עֲוֹנֹתֵיכֶם אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה וִֽידַעְתֶּם אֶת-תְּנֽוּאָתִֽי׃
After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.
כַּמִּסְפָּר אֲשֶׁר תַּֽעֲשׂוּ כָּכָה תַּֽעֲשׂוּ לָֽאֶחָד כְּמִסְפָּרָֽם׃
According to the number that ye shall prepare, so shall ye do to every one according to their number.
מִי מָנָה עֲפַר יַֽעֲקֹב וּמִסְפָּר אֶת-רֹבַע יִשְׂרָאֵל תָּמֹת נַפְשִׁי מוֹת יְשָׁרִים וּתְהִי אַֽחֲרִיתִי כָּמֹֽהוּ׃
Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!
לָאֵלֶּה תֵּֽחָלֵק הָאָרֶץ בְּנַֽחֲלָה בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמֽוֹת׃
Unto these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.
וּמִנְחָתָם וְנִסְכֵּיהֶם לַפָּרִים לָֽאֵילִם וְלַכְּבָשִׂים בְּמִסְפָּרָם כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃
And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:
וּמִנְחָתָם וְנִסְכֵּיהֶם לַפָּרִים לָֽאֵילִם וְלַכְּבָשִׂים בְּמִסְפָּרָם כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃
And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:

וַתְּהִי הַֽמֶּחֱצָה חֵלֶק הַיֹּֽצְאִים בַּצָּבָא מִסְפַּר הַצֹּאן שְׁלֹשׁ-מֵאוֹת אֶלֶף וּשְׁלֹשִׁים אֶלֶף וְשִׁבְעַת אֲלָפִים וַֽחֲמֵשׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃
And the half, which was the portion of them that went out to war, was in number three hundred thousand and seven and thirty thousand and five hundred sheep:
וְהֵפִיץ יְהוָה אֶתְכֶם בָּֽעַמִּים וְנִשְׁאַרְתֶּם מְתֵי מִסְפָּר בַּגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר יְנַהֵג יְהוָה אֶתְכֶם שָֽׁמָּה׃
And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
וְהָיָה אִם-בִּן הַכּוֹת הָֽרָשָׁע וְהִפִּילוֹ הַשֹּׁפֵט וְהִכָּהוּ לְפָנָיו כְּדֵי רִשְׁעָתוֹ בְּמִסְפָּֽר׃
And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.
בְּהַנְחֵל עֶלְיוֹן גּוֹיִם בְּהַפְרִידוֹ בְּנֵי אָדָם יַצֵּב גְּבֻלֹת עַמִּים לְמִסְפַּר בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
When the most High divided their inheritance, to the nations when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
יְחִי רְאוּבֵן וְאַל-יָמֹת וִיהִי מְתָיו מִסְפָּֽר׃
Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.

And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel:
וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ-כֵן בְּנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל כַּֽאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוֹשֻׁעַ וַיִּשְׂאוּ שְׁתֵּֽי-עֶשְׂרֵה אֲבָנִים מִתּוֹךְ הַיַּרְדֵּן כַּֽאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָה אֶל-יְהוֹשֻׁעַ לְמִסְפַּר שִׁבְטֵי בְנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיַּֽעֲבִרוּם עִמָּם אֶל-הַמָּלוֹן וַיַּנִּחוּם שָֽׁם׃
And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.
כִּי הֵם וּמִקְנֵיהֶם יַֽעֲלוּ וְאָֽהֳלֵיהֶם (יבאו) וּבָאוּ כְדֵֽי-אַרְבֶּה לָרֹב וְלָהֶם וְלִגְמַלֵּיהֶם אֵין מִסְפָּר וַיָּבֹאוּ בָאָרֶץ לְשַֽׁחֲתָֽהּ׃
For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.
וַיְהִי מִסְפַּר הַֽמֲלַקְקִים בְּיָדָם אֶל-פִּיהֶם שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאוֹת אִישׁ וְכֹל יֶתֶר הָעָם כָּֽרְעוּ עַל-בִּרְכֵיהֶם לִשְׁתּוֹת מָֽיִם׃
And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
וּמִדְיָן וַֽעֲמָלֵק וְכָל-בְּנֵי-קֶדֶם נֹֽפְלִים בָּעֵמֶק כָּֽאַרְבֶּה לָרֹב וְלִגְמַלֵּיהֶם אֵין מִסְפָּר כַּחוֹל שֶֽׁעַל-שְׂפַת הַיָּם לָרֹֽב׃
And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like grasshoppers for multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude.
וַיְהִי כִשְׁמֹעַ גִּדְעוֹן אֶת-מִסְפַּר הַֽחֲלוֹם וְאֶת-שִׁבְרוֹ וַיִּשְׁתָּחוּ וַיָּשָׁב אֶל-מַֽחֲנֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיֹּאמֶר קוּמוּ כִּֽי-נָתַן יְהוָה בְּיֶדְכֶם אֶת-מַֽחֲנֵה מִדְיָֽן׃
And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian.
וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ-כֵן בְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן וַיִּשְׂאוּ נָשִׁים לְמִסְפָּרָם מִן-הַמְּחֹֽלְלוֹת אֲשֶׁר גָּזָלוּ וַיֵּֽלְכוּ וַיָּשׁוּבוּ אֶל-נַחֲלָתָם וַיִּבְנוּ אֶת-הֶעָרִים וַיֵּֽשְׁבוּ בָּהֶֽם׃
And the children of Benjamin did so, and took them wives, according to their number, of them that danced, whom they caught: and they went and returned unto their inheritance, and repaired the cities, and dwelt in them.
וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ מָה הָֽאָשָׁם אֲשֶׁר נָשִׁיב לוֹ וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ מִסְפַּר סַרְנֵי פְלִשְׁתִּים חֲמִשָּׁה (עפלי) טְחֹרֵי זָהָב וַֽחֲמִשָּׁה עַכְבְּרֵי זָהָב כִּֽי-מַגֵּפָה אַחַת לְכֻלָּם וּלְסַרְנֵיכֶֽם׃
Then said they, What shall be the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden emerods, and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague was on you all, and on your lords.
וְעַכְבְּרֵי הַזָּהָב מִסְפַּר כָּל-עָרֵי פְלִשְׁתִּים לַֽחֲמֵשֶׁת הַסְּרָנִים מֵעִיר מִבְצָר וְעַד כֹּפֶר הַפְּרָזִי וְעַד׀ אָבֵל הַגְּדוֹלָה אֲשֶׁר הִנִּיחוּ עָלֶיהָ אֵת אֲרוֹן יְהוָה עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה בִּשְׂדֵה יְהוֹשֻׁעַ בֵּֽית-הַשִּׁמְשִֽׁי׃
And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Beth-shemite.
וַֽיְהִי מִסְפַּר הַיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר-יָשַׁב דָּוִד בִּשְׂדֵה פְלִשְׁתִּים יָמִים וְאַרְבָּעָה חֳדָשִֽׁים׃
And the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was a full year and four months.
וַֽיְהִי מִסְפַּר הַיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר הָיָה דָוִד מֶלֶךְ בְּחֶבְרוֹן עַל-בֵּית יְהוּדָה שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים וְשִׁשָּׁה חֳדָשִֽׁים׃
And the time that David was king in Hebron over the house of Judah was seven years and six months.
וַיָּקֻמוּ וַיַּֽעַבְרוּ בְמִסְפָּר שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר לְבִנְיָמִן וּלְאִישׁ בֹּשֶׁת בֶּן-שָׁאוּל וּשְׁנֵים עָשָׂר מֵֽעַבְדֵי דָוִֽד׃
Then there arose and went over by number twelve of Benjamin, which pertained to Ish-bosheth the son of Saul, and twelve of the servants of David.
וַתְּהִי-עוֹד מִלְחָמָה בְּגַת וַיְהִי׀ אִישׁ (מדין) מָדוֹן וְאֶצְבְּעֹת יָדָיו וְאֶצְבְּעֹת רַגְלָיו שֵׁשׁ וָשֵׁשׁ עֶשְׂרִים וְאַרְבַּע מִסְפָּר וְגַם-הוּא יֻלַּד לְהָֽרָפָֽה׃
And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶל-יוֹאָב׀ שַׂר-הַחַיִל אֲשֶׁר-אִתּוֹ שֽׁוּט-נָא בְּכָל-שִׁבְטֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מִדָּן וְעַד-בְּאֵר שֶׁבַע וּפִקְדוּ אֶת-הָעָם וְיָדַעְתִּי אֵת מִסְפַּר הָעָֽם׃
For the king said to Joab the captain of the host, which was with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, and number ye the people, that I may know the number of the people.
וַיִּתֵּן יוֹאָב אֶת-מִסְפַּר מִפְקַד-הָעָם אֶל-הַמֶּלֶךְ וַתְּהִי יִשְׂרָאֵל שְֽׁמֹנֶה מֵאוֹת אֶלֶף אִֽישׁ-חַיִל שֹׁלֵֽף חֶרֶב וְאִישׁ יְהוּדָה חֲמֵשׁ-מֵאוֹת אֶלֶף אִֽישׁ׃
And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.
וַיִּקַּח אֵֽלִיָּהוּ שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה אֲבָנִים כְּמִסְפַּר שִׁבְטֵי בְנֵֽי-יַעֲקֹב אֲשֶׁר הָיָה דְבַר-יְהוָה אֵלָיו לֵאמֹר יִשְׂרָאֵל יִֽהְיֶה שְׁמֶֽךָ׃
And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:
וּבְנֵי תוֹלָע עֻזִּי וּרְפָיָה וִֽירִיאֵל וְיַחְמַי וְיִבְשָׂם וּשְׁמוּאֵל רָאשִׁים לְבֵית-אֲבוֹתָם לְתוֹלָע גִּבּוֹרֵי חַיִל לְתֹֽלְדוֹתָם מִסְפָּרָם בִּימֵי דָוִיד עֶשְׂרִֽים-וּשְׁנַיִם אֶלֶף וְשֵׁשׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃
And the sons of Tola; Uzzi, and Rephaiah, and Jeriel, and Jahmai, and Jibsam, and Shemuel, heads of their father's house, to wit, of Tola: they were valiant men of might in their generations; whose number was in the days of David two and twenty thousand and six hundred.
כָּל-אֵלֶּה בְנֵֽי-אָשֵׁר רָאשֵׁי בֵית-הָֽאָבוֹת בְּרוּרִים גִּבּוֹרֵי חֲיָלִים רָאשֵׁי הַנְּשִׂיאִים וְהִתְיַחְשָׂם בַּצָּבָא בַּמִּלְחָמָה מִסְפָּרָם אֲנָשִׁים עֶשְׂרִים וְשִׁשָּׁה אָֽלֶף׃
All these were the children of Asher, heads of their father's house, choice and mighty men of valour, chief of the princes. And the number throughout the genealogy of them that were apt to the war and to battle was twenty and six thousand men.
וּמֵהֶם עַל-כְּלֵי הָֽעֲבוֹדָה כִּֽי-בְמִסְפָּר יְבִיאוּם וּבְמִסְפָּר יֽוֹצִיאֽוּם׃
And certain of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.
וְאֵלֶּה מִסְפַּר הַגִּבֹּרִים אֲשֶׁר לְדָוִיד יָֽשָׁבְעָם בֶּן-חַכְמוֹנִי רֹאשׁ (השלושים) הַשָּׁלִישִׁים הֽוּא-עוֹרֵר אֶת-חֲנִיתוֹ עַל-שְׁלֹשׁ-מֵאוֹת חָלָל בְּפַעַם אֶחָֽת׃
And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had; Jashobeam, an Hachmonite, the chief of the captains: he lifted up his spear against three hundred slain by him at one time.
וְאֵלֶּה מִסְפְּרֵי רָאשֵׁי הֶֽחָלוּץ לַצָּבָא בָּאוּ עַל-דָּוִיד חֶבְרוֹנָה לְהָסֵב מַלְכוּת שָׁאוּל אֵלָיו כְּפִי יְהוָֽה׃
And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.
בִּהְיֽוֹתְכֶם מְתֵי מִסְפָּר כִּמְעַט וְגָרִים בָּֽהּ׃
When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
וַיֹּאמֶר דָּוִיד אֶל-יוֹאָב וְאֶל-שָׂרֵי הָעָם לְכוּ סִפְרוּ אֶת-יִשְׂרָאֵל מִבְּאֵר שֶׁבַע וְעַד-דָּן וְהָבִיאוּ אֵלַי וְאֵֽדְעָה אֶת-מִסְפָּרָֽם׃
And David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number Israel from Beer-sheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know it.
וַיִּתֵּן יוֹאָב אֶת-מִסְפַּר מִפְקַד-הָעָם אֶל-דָּוִיד וַיְהִי כָֽל-יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶלֶף אֲלָפִים וּמֵאָה אֶלֶף אִישׁ שֹׁלֵֽף חֶרֶב וִֽיהוּדָה אַרְבַּע מֵאוֹת וְשִׁבְעִים אֶלֶף אִישׁ שֹׁלֵֽף חָֽרֶב׃
And Joab gave the sum of the number of the people unto David. And all they of Israel were a thousand thousand and an hundred thousand men that drew sword: and Judah was four hundred threescore and ten thousand men that drew sword.
וַֽעֲצֵי אֲרָזִים לְאֵין מִסְפָּר כִּֽי הֵבִיאוּ הַצִּֽידֹנִים וְהַצֹּרִים עֲצֵי אֲרָזִים לָרֹב לְדָוִֽיד׃
Also cedar trees in abundance: for the Zidonians and they of Tyre brought much cedar wood to David.
לַזָּהָב לַכֶּסֶף וְלַנְּחֹשֶׁת וְלַבַּרְזֶל אֵין מִסְפָּר קוּם וַֽעֲשֵׂה וִיהִי יְהוָה עִמָּֽךְ׃
Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and the LORD be with thee.
וַיִּסָּֽפְרוּ הַלְוִיִּם מִבֶּן שְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וָמָעְלָה וַיְהִי מִסְפָּרָם לְגֻלְגְּלֹתָם לִגְבָרִים שְׁלֹשִׁים וּשְׁמוֹנָה אָֽלֶף׃
Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty and eight thousand.
אֵלֶּה בְנֵֽי-לֵוִי לְבֵית אֲבוֹתֵיהֶם רָאשֵׁי הָֽאָבוֹת לִפְקֽוּדֵיהֶם בְּמִסְפַּר שֵׁמוֹת לְגֻלְגְּלֹתָם עֹשֵׂה הַמְּלָאכָה לַֽעֲבֹדַת בֵּית יְהוָה מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמָֽעְלָה׃
These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the LORD, from the age of twenty years and upward.
כִּי בְדִבְרֵי דָוִיד הָאַחֲרוֹנִים הֵמָּה מִסְפַּר בְּנֵֽי-לֵוִי מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וּלְמָֽעְלָה׃
For by the last words of David the Levites were numbered from twenty years old and above:
וּלְכֹל הַֽעֲלוֹת עֹלוֹת לַֽיהוָה לַשַּׁבָּתוֹת לֶֽחֳדָשִׁים וְלַמֹּֽעֲדִים בְּמִסְפָּר כְּמִשְׁפָּט עֲלֵיהֶם תָּמִיד לִפְנֵי יְהוָֽה׃
And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD:
וַיַּבְדֵּל דָּוִיד וְשָׂרֵי הַצָּבָא לַֽעֲבֹדָה לִבְנֵי אָסָף וְהֵימָן וִֽידוּתוּן (הנביאים) הַֽנִּבְּאִים בְּכִנֹּרוֹת בִּנְבָלִים וּבִמְצִלְתָּיִם וַֽיְהִי מִסְפָּרָם אַנְשֵׁי מְלָאכָה לַעֲבֹֽדָתָֽם׃
Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:
וַיְהִי מִסְפָּרָם עִם-אֲחֵיהֶם מְלֻמְּדֵי-שִׁיר לַֽיהוָה כָּל-הַמֵּבִין מָאתַיִם שְׁמוֹנִים וּשְׁמוֹנָֽה׃
So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that were cunning, was two hundred fourscore and eight.
וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׀ לְֽמִסְפָּרָם רָאשֵׁי הָֽאָבוֹת וְשָׂרֵי הָֽאֲלָפִים׀ וְהַמֵּאוֹת וְשֹֽׁטְרֵיהֶם הַמְשָֽׁרְתִים אֶת-הַמֶּלֶךְ לְכֹל׀ דְּבַר הַֽמַּחְלְקוֹת הַבָּאָה וְהַיֹּצֵאת חֹדֶשׁ בְּחֹדֶשׁ לְכֹל חָדְשֵׁי הַשָּׁנָה הַֽמַּחֲלֹקֶת הָֽאַחַת עֶשְׂרִים וְאַרְבָּעָה אָֽלֶף׃
Now the children of Israel after their number, to wit, the chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter of the courses, which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, of every course were twenty and four thousand.
וְלֹֽא-נָשָׂא דָוִיד מִסְפָּרָם לְמִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וּלְמָטָּה כִּי אָמַר יְהוָה לְהַרְבּוֹת אֶת-יִשְׂרָאֵל כְּכֽוֹכְבֵי הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃
But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under: because the LORD had said he would increase Israel like to the stars of the heavens.
יוֹאָב בֶּן-צְרוּיָה הֵחֵל לִמְנוֹת וְלֹא כִלָּה וַיְהִי בָזֹאת קֶצֶף עַל-יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא עָלָה הַמִּסְפָּר בְּמִסְפַּר דִּבְרֵֽי-הַיָּמִים לַמֶּלֶךְ דָּוִֽיד׃
Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but he finished not, because there fell wrath for it against Israel; neither was the number put in the account of the chronicles of king David.
בְּאֶלֶף וּמָאתַיִם רֶכֶב וּבְשִׁשִּׁים אֶלֶף פָּֽרָשִׁים וְאֵין מִסְפָּר לָעָם אֲשֶׁר-בָּאוּ עִמּוֹ מִמִּצְרַיִם לוּבִים סֻכִּיִּים וְכוּשִֽׁים׃
With twelve hundred chariots, and threescore thousand horsemen: and the people were without number that came with him out of Egypt; the Lubims, the Sukkiims, and the Ethiopians.
וַיְהִי לְעֻזִּיָּהוּ חַיִל עֹשֵׂה מִלְחָמָה יֽוֹצְאֵי צָבָא לִגְדוּד בְּמִסְפַּר פְּקֻדָּתָם בְּיַד (יעואל) יְעִיאֵל הַסּוֹפֵר וּמַֽעֲשֵׂיָהוּ הַשּׁוֹטֵר עַל יַד-חֲנַנְיָהוּ מִשָּׂרֵי הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
Moreover Uzziah had an host of fighting men, that went out to war by bands, according to the number of their account by the hand of Jeiel the scribe and Maaseiah the ruler, under the hand of Hananiah, one of the king's captains.
כֹּל מִסְפַּר רָאשֵׁי הָֽאָבוֹת לְגִבּוֹרֵי חָיִל אַלְפַּיִם וְשֵׁשׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃
The whole number of the chief of the fathers of the mighty men of valour were two thousand and six hundred.
וַיְהִי מִסְפַּר הָֽעֹלָה אֲשֶׁר הֵבִיאוּ הַקָּהָל בָּקָר שִׁבְעִים אֵילִים מֵאָה כְּבָשִׂים מָאתָיִם לְעֹלָה לַֽיהוָה כָּל-אֵֽלֶּה׃
And the number of the burnt offerings, which the congregation brought, was threescore and ten bullocks, an hundred rams, and two hundred lambs: all these were for a burnt offering to the LORD.
וַיָּרֶם יֹֽאשִׁיָּהוּ לִבְנֵי הָעָם צֹאן כְּבָשִׂים וּבְנֵֽי-עִזִּים הַכֹּל לַפְּסָחִים לְכָל-הַנִּמְצָא לְמִסְפַּר שְׁלֹשִׁים אֶלֶף וּבָקָר שְׁלֹשֶׁת אֲלָפִים אֵלֶּה מֵֽרְכוּשׁ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these were of the king's substance.
וְאֵלֶּה מִסְפָּרָם אֲגַרְטְלֵי זָהָב שְׁלֹשִׁים אֲגַרְטְלֵי-כֶסֶף אָלֶף מַֽחֲלָפִים תִּשְׁעָה וְעֶשְׂרִֽים׃
And this is the number of them: thirty chargers of gold, a thousand chargers of silver, nine and twenty knives,
אֲשֶׁר-בָּאוּ עִם-זְרֻבָּבֶל יֵשׁוּעַ נְחֶמְיָה שְׂרָיָה רְֽעֵלָיָה מָרְדֳּכַי בִּלְשָׁן מִסְפָּר בִּגְוַי רְחוּם בַּֽעֲנָה מִסְפַּר אַנְשֵׁי עַם יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Which came with Zerubbabel: Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
וַֽיַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת-חַג הַסֻּכּוֹת כַּכָּתוּב וְעֹלַת יוֹם בְּיוֹם בְּמִסְפָּר כְּמִשְׁפַּט דְּבַר-יוֹם בְּיוֹמֽוֹ׃
They kept also the feast of tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the custom, as the duty of every day required;
בְּמִסְפָּר בְּמִשְׁקָל לַכֹּל וַיִּכָּתֵב כָּֽל-הַמִּשְׁקָל בָּעֵת הַהִֽיא׃
By number and by weight of every one: and all the weight was written at that time.
הַבָּאִים עִם-זְרֻבָּבֶל יֵשׁוּעַ נְחֶמְיָה עֲזַרְיָה רַֽעַמְיָה נַֽחֲמָנִי מָרְדֳּכַי בִּלְשָׁן מִסְפֶּרֶת בִּגְוַי נְחוּם בַּֽעֲנָה מִסְפַּר אַנְשֵׁי עַם יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;
בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא בָּא מִסְפַּר הַֽהֲרוּגִים בְּשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה לִפְנֵי הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was brought before the king.
וַיְהִי כִּי הִקִּיפוּ יְמֵי הַמִּשְׁתֶּה וַיִּשְׁלַח אִיּוֹב וַֽיְקַדְּשֵׁם וְהִשְׁכִּים בַּבֹּקֶר וְהֶֽעֱלָה עֹלוֹת מִסְפַּר כֻּלָּם כִּי אָמַר אִיּוֹב אוּלַי חָֽטְאוּ בָנַי וּבֵרֲכוּ אֱלֹהִים בִּלְבָבָם כָּכָה יַֽעֲשֶׂה אִיּוֹב כָּל-הַיָּמִֽים׃
And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
הַלַּיְלָה הַהוּא יִקָּחֵהוּ אֹפֶל אַל-יִחַדְּ בִּימֵי שָׁנָה בְּמִסְפַּר יְרָחִים אַל-יָבֹֽא׃
As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months.
עֹשֶׂה גְדֹלוֹת וְאֵין חֵקֶר נִפְלָאוֹת עַד-אֵין מִסְפָּֽר׃
Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:
עֹשֶׂה גְדֹלוֹת עַד-אֵין חֵקֶר וְנִפְלָאוֹת עַד-אֵין מִסְפָּֽר׃
Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.
אִם חֲרוּצִים׀ יָמָיו מִֽסְפַּר-חֳדָשָׁיו אִתָּךְ (חקו) חֻקָּיו עָשִׂיתָ וְלֹא יַעֲבֹֽר׃
Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
כָּל-יְמֵי רָשָׁע הוּא מִתְחוֹלֵל וּמִסְפַּר שָׁנִים נִצְפְּנוּ לֶעָרִֽיץ׃
The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.
כִּֽי-שְׁנוֹת מִסְפָּר יֶאֱתָיוּ וְאֹרַח לֹא-אָשׁוּב אֶהֱלֹֽךְ׃
When a few years are come, then I shall go the way whence I shall not return.
כִּי מַה-חֶפְצוֹ בְּבֵיתוֹ אַחֲרָיו וּמִסְפַּר חֳדָשָׁיו חֻצָּֽצוּ׃
For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
מָֽתְקוּ-לוֹ רִגְבֵי נָחַל וְאַחֲרָיו כָּל-אָדָם יִמְשׁוֹךְ וּלְפָנָיו אֵין מִסְפָּֽר׃
The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.
הֲיֵשׁ מִסְפָּר לִגְדוּדָיו וְעַל-מִי לֹא-יָקוּם אוֹרֵֽהוּ׃
Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?
