וַיְהִי מֵֽהַיּוֹם הַהוּא וָמָעְלָה וַיְשִׂמֶהָ לְחֹק וּלְמִשְׁפָּט לְיִשְׂרָאֵל עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
And it was so from that day forward, that he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel unto this day.
כִּי כָל-(משפטו) מִשְׁפָּטָיו לְנֶגְדִּי וְחֻקֹּתָיו לֹֽא-אָסוּר מִמֶּֽנָּה׃
For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.
וְשָֽׁמַרְתָּ אֶת-מִשְׁמֶרֶת׀ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לָלֶכֶת בִּדְרָכָיו לִשְׁמֹר חֻקֹּתָיו מִצְוֹתָיו וּמִשְׁפָּטָיו וְעֵֽדְוֹתָיו כַּכָּתוּב בְּתוֹרַת מֹשֶׁה לְמַעַן תַּשְׂכִּיל אֵת כָּל-אֲשֶׁר תַּֽעֲשֶׂה וְאֵת כָּל-אֲשֶׁר תִּפְנֶה שָֽׁם׃
And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:
וַיֶּֽאֱהַב שְׁלֹמֹה אֶת-יְהוָה לָלֶכֶת בְּחֻקּוֹת דָּוִד אָבִיו רַק בַּבָּמוֹת הוּא מְזַבֵּחַ וּמַקְטִֽיר׃
And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.
וְאִם׀ תֵּלֵךְ בִּדְרָכַי לִשְׁמֹר חֻקַּי וּמִצְוֹתַי כַּֽאֲשֶׁר הָלַךְ דָּוִיד אָבִיךָ וְהַֽאֲרַכְתִּי אֶת-יָמֶֽיךָ׃
And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.
הַבַּיִת הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר-אַתָּה בֹנֶה אִם-תֵּלֵךְ בְּחֻקֹּתַי וְאֶת-מִשְׁפָּטַי תַּֽעֲשֶׂה וְשָֽׁמַרְתָּ אֶת-כָּל-מִצְוֹתַי לָלֶכֶת בָּהֶם וַהֲקִֽמֹתִי אֶת-דְּבָרִי אִתָּךְ אֲשֶׁר דִּבַּרְתִּי אֶל-דָּוִד אָבִֽיךָ׃
Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:
לְהַטּוֹת לְבָבֵנוּ אֵלָיו לָלֶכֶת בְּכָל-דְּרָכָיו וְלִשְׁמֹר מִצְוֹתָיו וְחֻקָּיו וּמִשְׁפָּטָיו אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה אֶת-אֲבֹתֵֽינוּ׃
That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.
וְהָיָה לְבַבְכֶם שָׁלֵם עִם יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ לָלֶכֶת בְּחֻקָּיו וְלִשְׁמֹר מִצְוֹתָיו כַּיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.
וְאַתָּה אִם-תֵּלֵךְ לְפָנַי כַּֽאֲשֶׁר הָלַךְ דָּוִד אָבִיךָ בְּתָם-לֵבָב וּבְיֹשֶׁר לַֽעֲשׂוֹת כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִיךָ חֻקַּי וּמִשְׁפָּטַי תִּשְׁמֹֽר׃
And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:
אִם-שׁוֹב תְּשֻׁבוּן אַתֶּם וּבְנֵיכֶם מֵֽאַחֲרַי וְלֹא תִשְׁמְרוּ מִצְוֹתַי חֻקֹּתַי אֲשֶׁר נָתַתִּי לִפְנֵיכֶם וַֽהֲלַכְתֶּם וַֽעֲבַדְתֶּם אֱלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים וְהִשְׁתַּֽחֲוִיתֶם לָהֶֽם׃
But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:
וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה לִשְׁלֹמֹה יַעַן אֲשֶׁר הָֽיְתָה-זֹּאת עִמָּךְ וְלֹא שָׁמַרְתָּ בְּרִיתִי וְחֻקֹּתַי אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִי עָלֶיךָ קָרֹעַ אֶקְרַע אֶת-הַמַּמְלָכָה מֵֽעָלֶיךָ וּנְתַתִּיהָ לְעַבְדֶּֽךָ׃
Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.
יַעַן׀ אֲשֶׁר עֲזָבוּנִי וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲווּ לְעַשְׁתֹּרֶת אֱלֹהֵי צִֽדֹנִין לִכְמוֹשׁ אֱלֹהֵי מוֹאָב וּלְמִלְכֹּם אֱלֹהֵי בְנֵֽי-עַמּוֹן וְלֹֽא-הָלְכוּ בִדְרָכַי לַֽעֲשׂוֹת הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינַי וְחֻקֹּתַי וּמִשְׁפָּטַי כְּדָוִד אָבִֽיו׃
Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father.
וְלֹֽא-אֶקַּח אֶת-כָּל-הַמַּמְלָכָה מִיָּדוֹ כִּי׀ נָשִׂיא אֲשִׁתֶנּוּ כֹּל יְמֵי חַיָּיו לְמַעַן דָּוִד עַבְדִּי אֲשֶׁר בָּחַרְתִּי אֹתוֹ אֲשֶׁר שָׁמַר מִצְוֹתַי וְחֻקֹּתָֽי׃
Howbeit I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant's sake, whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes:
וְהָיָה אִם-תִּשְׁמַע אֶת-כָּל-אֲשֶׁר אֲצַוֶּךָ וְהָֽלַכְתָּ בִדְרָכַי וְעָשִׂיתָ הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינַי לִשְׁמוֹר חֻקּוֹתַי וּמִצְוֹתַי כַּֽאֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה דָּוִד עַבְדִּי וְהָיִיתִי עִמָּךְ וּבָנִיתִֽי לְךָ בַיִת-נֶֽאֱמָן כַּֽאֲשֶׁר בָּנִיתִי לְדָוִד וְנָֽתַתִּי לְךָ אֶת-יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.
וַיֵּֽלְכוּ בְּחֻקּוֹת הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר הוֹרִישׁ יְהוָה מִפְּנֵי בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּמַלְכֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר עָשֽׂוּ׃
And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.
וַיָּעַד יְהוָה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל וּבִֽיהוּדָה בְּיַד כָּל-(נביאו) נְבִיאֵי כָל-חֹזֶה לֵאמֹר שֻׁבוּ מִדַּרְכֵיכֶם הָֽרָעִים וְשִׁמְרוּ מִצְוֹתַי חֻקּוֹתַי כְּכָל-הַתּוֹרָה אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִי אֶת-אֲבֹֽתֵיכֶם וַֽאֲשֶׁר שָׁלַחְתִּי אֲלֵיכֶם בְּיַד עֲבָדַי הַנְּבִיאִֽים׃
Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.
וַיִּמְאֲסוּ אֶת-חֻקָּיו וְאֶת-בְּרִיתוֹ אֲשֶׁר כָּרַת אֶת-אֲבוֹתָם וְאֵת עֵֽדְוֹתָיו אֲשֶׁר הֵעִיד בָּם וַיֵּלְכוּ אַֽחֲרֵי הַהֶבֶל וַיֶּהְבָּלוּ וְאַֽחֲרֵי הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר סְבִֽיבֹתָם אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֹתָם לְבִלְתִּי עֲשׂוֹת כָּהֶֽם׃
And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.
גַּם-יְהוּדָה לֹא שָׁמַר אֶת-מִצְוֹת יְהוָה אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶם וַיֵּלְכוּ בְּחֻקּוֹת יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר עָשֽׂוּ׃
Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.
עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה הֵם עֹשִׂים כַּמִּשְׁפָּטִים הָרִֽאשֹׁנִים אֵינָם יְרֵאִים אֶת-יְהוָה וְאֵינָם עֹשִׂים כְּחֻקֹּתָם וּכְמִשְׁפָּטָם וְכַתּוֹרָה וְכַמִּצְוָה אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת-בְּנֵי יַֽעֲקֹב אֲשֶׁר-שָׂם שְׁמוֹ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;
וְאֶת-הַֽחֻקִּים וְאֶת-הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים וְהַתּוֹרָה וְהַמִּצְוָה אֲשֶׁר כָּתַב לָכֶם תִּשְׁמְרוּן לַֽעֲשׂוֹת כָּל-הַיָּמִים וְלֹא תִֽירְאוּ אֱלֹהִים אֲחֵרִֽים׃
And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods.
וַיַּֽעֲמֹד הַמֶּלֶךְ עַֽל-הָעַמּוּד וַיִּכְרֹת אֶֽת-הַבְּרִית׀ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה לָלֶכֶת אַחַר יְהוָה וְלִשְׁמֹר מִצְוֹתָיו וְאֶת-עֵדְוֹתָיו וְאֶת-חֻקֹּתָיו בְּכָל-לֵב וּבְכָל-נֶפֶשׁ לְהָקִים אֶת-דִּבְרֵי הַבְּרִית הַזֹּאת הַכְּתֻבִים עַל-הַסֵּפֶר הַזֶּה וַיַּֽעֲמֹד כָּל-הָעָם בַּבְּרִֽית׃
And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.
וַיַּֽעֲמִידֶהָ לְיַֽעֲקֹב לְחֹק לְיִשְׂרָאֵל בְּרִית עוֹלָֽם׃
And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
אָז תַּצְלִיחַ אִם-תִּשְׁמוֹר לַֽעֲשׂוֹת אֶת-הַֽחֻקִּים וְאֶת-הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת-מֹשֶׁה עַל-יִשְׂרָאֵל חֲזַק וֶֽאֱמָץ אַל-תִּירָא וְאַל-תֵּחָֽת׃
Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.
וְלִשְׁלֹמֹה בְנִי תֵּן לֵבָב שָׁלֵם לִשְׁמוֹר מִצְוֹתֶיךָ עֵדְוֹתֶיךָ וְחֻקֶּיךָ וְלַֽעֲשׂוֹת הַכֹּל וְלִבְנוֹת הַבִּירָה אֲשֶׁר-הֲכִינֽוֹתִי׃
And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.
וְאַתָּה אִם-תֵּלֵךְ לְפָנַי כַּֽאֲשֶׁר הָלַךְ דָּוִיד אָבִיךָ וְלַֽעֲשׂוֹת כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִיךָ וְחֻקַּי וּמִשְׁפָּטַי תִּשְׁמֽוֹר׃
And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;
וְאִם-תְּשׁוּבוּן אַתֶּם וַֽעֲזַבְתֶּם חֻקּוֹתַי וּמִצְוֹתַי אֲשֶׁר נָתַתִּי לִפְנֵיכֶם וַֽהֲלַכְתֶּם וַֽעֲבַדְתֶּם אֱלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים וְהִשְׁתַּֽחֲוִיתֶם לָהֶֽם׃
But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;
וְכָל-רִיב אֲשֶׁר-יָבוֹא עֲלֵיכֶם מֵֽאֲחֵיכֶם׀ הַיֹּֽשְׁבִים בְּעָֽרֵיהֶם בֵּֽין-דָּם׀ לְדָם בֵּין-תּוֹרָה לְמִצְוָה לְחֻקִּים וּלְמִשְׁפָּטִים וְהִזְהַרְתֶּם אֹתָם וְלֹא יֶאְשְׁמוּ לַֽיהוָה וְהָֽיָה-קֶצֶף עֲלֵיכֶם וְעַל-אֲחֵיכֶם כֹּה תַֽעֲשׂוּן וְלֹא תֶאְשָֽׁמוּ׃
And what cause soever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall even warn them that they trespass not against the LORD, and so wrath come upon you, and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not trespass.
וְלֹא אֹסִיף לְהָסִיר אֶת-רֶגֶל יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵעַל הָֽאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר הֶֽעֱמַדְתִּי לַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם רַק׀ אִם-יִשְׁמְרוּ לַֽעֲשׂוֹת אֵת כָּל-אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִים לְכָל-הַתּוֹרָה וְהַֽחֻקִּים וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים בְּיַד-מֹשֶֽׁה׃
Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.
וַיַּֽעֲמֹד הַמֶּלֶךְ עַל-עָמְדוֹ וַיִּכְרֹת אֶֽת-הַבְּרִית לִפְנֵי יְהוָה לָלֶכֶת אַֽחֲרֵי יְהוָה וְלִשְׁמוֹר אֶת-מִצְוֹתָיו וְעֵֽדְוֹתָיו וְחֻקָּיו בְּכָל-לְבָבוֹ וּבְכָל-נַפְשׁוֹ לַֽעֲשׂוֹת אֶת-דִּבְרֵי הַבְּרִית הַכְּתוּבִים עַל-הַסֵּפֶר הַזֶּֽה׃
And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book.
וַיְקוֹנֵן יִרְמְיָהוּ עַל-יֹֽאשִׁיָּהוּ וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ כָֽל-הַשָּׁרִים׀ וְהַשָּׁרוֹת בְּקִינוֹתֵיהֶם עַל-יֹֽאשִׁיָּהוּ עַד-הַיּוֹם וַיִּתְּנוּם לְחֹק עַל-יִשְׂרָאֵל וְהִנָּם כְּתוּבִים עַל-הַקִּינֽוֹת׃
And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations.
כִּי עֶזְרָא הֵכִין לְבָבוֹ לִדְרוֹשׁ אֶת-תּוֹרַת יְהוָה וְלַֽעֲשֹׂת וּלְלַמֵּד בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל חֹק וּמִשְׁפָּֽט׃
For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
וְזֶה׀ פַּרְשֶׁגֶן הַֽנִּשְׁתְּוָן אֲשֶׁר נָתַן הַמֶּלֶךְ אַרְתַּחְשַׁסְתְּא לְעֶזְרָא הַכֹּהֵן הַסֹּפֵר סֹפֵר דִּבְרֵי מִצְוֹת-יְהוָה וְחֻקָּיו עַל-יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Now this is the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the scribe, even a scribe of the words of the commandments of the LORD, and of his statutes to Israel.
חֲבֹל חָבַלְנוּ לָךְ וְלֹֽא-שָׁמַרְנוּ אֶת-הַמִּצְוֹת וְאֶת-הַֽחֻקִּים וְאֶת-הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתָ אֶת-מֹשֶׁה עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃
We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.
וְעַל הַר-סִינַי יָרַדְתָּ וְדַבֵּר עִמָּהֶם מִשָּׁמָיִם וַתִּתֵּן לָהֶם מִשְׁפָּטִים יְשָׁרִים וְתוֹרוֹת אֱמֶת חֻקִּים וּמִצְוֹת טוֹבִֽים׃
Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:
וְאֶת-שַׁבַּת קָדְשְׁךָ הוֹדַעַתָ לָהֶם וּמִצְווֹת וְחֻקִּים וְתוֹרָה צִוִּיתָ לָהֶם בְּיַד מֹשֶׁה עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃
And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:
מַֽחֲזִיקִים עַל-אֲחֵיהֶם אַדִּֽירֵיהֶם וּבָאִים בְּאָלָה וּבִשְׁבוּעָה לָלֶכֶת בְּתוֹרַת הָֽאֱלֹהִים אֲשֶׁר נִתְּנָה בְּיַד מֹשֶׁה עֶֽבֶד-הָֽאֱלֹהִים וְלִשְׁמוֹר וְלַֽעֲשׂוֹת אֶת-כָּל-מִצְוֹת יְהוָה אֲדֹנֵינוּ וּמִשְׁפָּטָיו וְחֻקָּֽיו׃
They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;
אִם חֲרוּצִים׀ יָמָיו מִֽסְפַּר-חֳדָשָׁיו אִתָּךְ (חקו) חֻקָּיו עָשִׂיתָ וְלֹא יַעֲבֹֽר׃
Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
מִי יִתֵּן׀ בִּשְׁאוֹל תַּצְפִּנֵנִי תַּסְתִּירֵנִי עַד-שׁוּב אַפֶּךָ תָּשִׁית לִי חֹק וְתִזְכְּרֵֽנִי׃
O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!
מִצְוַת שְׂפָתָיו וְלֹא אָמִישׁ מֵחֻקִּי צָפַנְתִּי אִמְרֵי-פִֽיו׃
Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
כִּי יַשְׁלִים חֻקִּי וְכָהֵנָּה רַבּוֹת עִמּֽוֹ׃
For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.
חֹֽק-חָג עַל-פְּנֵי-מָיִם עַד-תַּכְלִית אוֹר עִם-חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃
He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
בַּעֲשֹׂתוֹ לַמָּטָר חֹק וְדֶרֶךְ לַחֲזִיז קֹלֽוֹת׃
When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:
וָאֶשְׁבֹּר עָלָיו חֻקִּי וָֽאָשִׂים בְּרִיחַ וּדְלָתָֽיִם׃
And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,
הֲיָדַעְתָּ חֻקּוֹת שָׁמָיִם אִם-תָּשִׂים מִשְׁטָרוֹ בָאָֽרֶץ׃
Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
אֲסַפְּרָה אֶֽל חֹק יְֽהוָה אָמַר אֵלַי בְּנִי אַתָּה אֲנִי הַיּוֹם יְלִדְתִּֽיךָ׃
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
כִּי כָל-מִשְׁפָּטָיו לְנֶגְדִּי וְחֻקֹּתָיו לֹא-אָסִיר מֶֽנִּי׃
For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.
וְלָרָשָׁע׀ אָמַר אֱלֹהִים מַה-לְּךָ לְסַפֵּר חֻקָּי וַתִּשָּׂא בְרִיתִי עֲלֵי-פִֽיךָ׃
But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?
עַד-מָתַי אֱלֹהִים יְחָרֶף צָר יְנָאֵץ אוֹיֵב שִׁמְךָ לָנֶֽצַח׃
O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?
כִּי חֹק לְיִשְׂרָאֵל הוּא מִשְׁפָּט לֵאלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹֽב׃
For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.
אִם-חֻקֹּתַי יְחַלֵּלוּ וּמִצְוֹתַי לֹא יִשְׁמֹֽרוּ׃
If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
הַֽיְחָבְרְךָ כִּסֵּא הַוּוֹת יֹצֵר עָמָל עֲלֵי-חֹֽק׃
Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
בְּעַמּוּד עָנָן יְדַבֵּר אֲלֵיהֶם שָׁמְרוּ עֵדֹתָיו וְחֹק נָֽתַן-לָֽמוֹ׃
He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.
וַיַּֽעֲמִידֶהָ לְיַעֲקֹב לְחֹק לְיִשְׂרָאֵל בְּרִית עוֹלָֽם׃
And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
בַּעֲבוּר׀ יִשְׁמְרוּ חֻקָּיו וְתוֹרֹתָיו יִנְצֹרוּ הַֽלְלוּ-יָֽהּ׃
That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
אֶת-חֻקֶּיךָ אֶשְׁמֹר אַֽל-תַּעַזְבֵנִי עַד-מְאֹֽד׃
I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.
בְּחֻקֹּתֶיךָ אֶֽשְׁתַּעֲשָׁע לֹא אֶשְׁכַּח דְּבָרֶֽךָ׃
I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
גַּם יָֽשְׁבוּ שָׂרִים בִּי נִדְבָּרוּ עַבְדְּךָ יָשִׂיחַ בְּחֻקֶּֽיךָ׃
Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.
דְּרָכַי סִפַּרְתִּי וַֽתַּעֲנֵנִי לַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃
I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.
הוֹרֵנִי יְהוָה דֶּרֶךְ חֻקֶּיךָ וְאֶצְּרֶנָּה עֵֽקֶב׃
Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
וְאֶשָּֽׂא-כַפַּי אֶֽל-מִצְוֹתֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר אָהָבְתִּי וְאָשִׂיחָה בְחֻקֶּֽיךָ׃
My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.
זְמִרוֹת הָֽיוּ-לִי חֻקֶּיךָ בְּבֵית מְגוּרָֽי׃
Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
חַסְדְּךָ יְהוָה מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ חֻקֶּיךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃
The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.
טֽוֹב-לִי כִֽי-עֻנֵּיתִי לְמַעַן אֶלְמַד חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃
It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
יְהִֽי-לִבִּי תָמִים בְּחֻקֶּיךָ לְמַעַן לֹא אֵבֽוֹשׁ׃
Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.
כִּֽי-הָיִיתִי כְּנֹאד בְּקִיטוֹר חֻקֶּיךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃
For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes.
נָטִיתִי לִבִּי לַעֲשׂוֹת חֻקֶּיךָ לְעוֹלָם עֵֽקֶב׃
I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end.
סְעָדֵנִי וְאִוָּשֵׁעָה וְאֶשְׁעָה בְחֻקֶּיךָ תָמִֽיד׃
Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.
סָלִיתָ כָּל-שׁוֹגִים מֵחֻקֶּיךָ כִּי-שֶׁקֶר תַּרְמִיתָֽם׃
Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood.
עֲשֵׂה עִם-עַבְדְּךָ כְחַסְדֶּךָ וְחֻקֶּיךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃
Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.
פָּנֶיךָ הָאֵר בְּעַבְדֶּךָ וְלַמְּדֵנִי אֶת-חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃
Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes.
קָרָאתִי בְכָל-לֵב עֲנֵנִי יְהוָה חֻקֶּיךָ אֶצֹּֽרָה׃
I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes.
רָחוֹק מֵרְשָׁעִים יְשׁוּעָה כִּֽי-חֻקֶּיךָ לֹא דָרָֽשׁוּ׃
Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.
תַּבַּעְנָה שְׂפָתַי תְּהִלָּה כִּי תְלַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃
My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.
מַגִּיד (דברו) דְּבָרָיו לְיַעֲקֹב חֻקָּיו וּמִשְׁפָּטָיו לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
וַיַּעֲמִידֵם לָעַד לְעוֹלָם חָק-נָתַן וְלֹא יַעֲבֽוֹר׃
He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
בְּשׂוּמוֹ לַיָּם׀ חֻקּוֹ וּמַיִם לֹא יַֽעַבְרוּ-פִיו בְּחוּקוֹ מוֹסְדֵי אָֽרֶץ׃
When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
שָׁוְא׀ וּֽדְבַר-כָּזָב הַרְחֵק מִמֶּנִּי רֵאשׁ וָעֹשֶׁר אַל-תִּֽתֶּן-לִי הַטְרִיפֵנִי לֶחֶם חֻקִּֽי׃
Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
וַתָּקָם׀ בְּעוֹד לַיְלָה וַתִּתֵּן טֶרֶף לְבֵיתָהּ וְחֹק לְנַעֲרֹתֶֽיהָ׃
She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
לָכֵן הִרְחִיבָה שְּׁאוֹל נַפְשָׁהּ וּפָעֲרָה פִיהָ לִבְלִי-חֹק וְיָרַד הֲדָרָהּ וַהֲמוֹנָהּ וּשְׁאוֹנָהּ וְעָלֵז בָּֽהּ׃
Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
וְהָאָרֶץ חָנְפָה תַּחַת יֹשְׁבֶיהָ כִּֽי-עָבְרוּ תוֹרֹת חָלְפוּ חֹק הֵפֵרוּ בְּרִית עוֹלָֽם׃
The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
הַאוֹתִי לֹא-תִירָאוּ נְאֻם-יְהוָֹה אִם מִפָּנַי לֹא תָחִילוּ אֲשֶׁר-שַׂמְתִּי חוֹל גְּבוּל לַיָּם חָק-עוֹלָם וְלֹא יַעַבְרֶנְהוּ וַיִּֽתְגָּעֲשׁוּ וְלֹא יוּכָלוּ וְהָמוּ גַלָּיו וְלֹא יַעַבְרֻֽנְהוּ׃
Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
וְלֽוֹא-אָמְרוּ בִלְבָבָם נִירָא נָא אֶת-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ הַנֹּתֵן גֶּשֶׁם (וירה) יוֹרֶה וּמַלְקוֹשׁ בְּעִתּוֹ שְׁבֻעֹת חֻקּוֹת קָצִיר יִשְׁמָר-לָֽנוּ׃
Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.
כִּֽי-חֻקּוֹת הָֽעַמִּים הֶבֶל הוּא כִּֽי-עֵץ מִיַּעַר כְּרָתוֹ מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי-חָרָשׁ בַּֽמַּעֲצָֽד׃
For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
כֹּה׀ אָמַר יְהוָה נֹתֵן שֶׁמֶשׁ לְאוֹר יוֹמָם חֻקֹּת יָרֵחַ וְכוֹכָבִים לְאוֹר לָיְלָה רֹגַע הַיָּם וַיֶּהֱמוּ גַלָּיו יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת שְׁמֽוֹ׃
Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:
אִם-יָמֻשׁוּ הַחֻקִּים הָאֵלֶּה מִלְּפָנַי נְאֻם-יְהוָה גַּם זֶרַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יִשְׁבְּתוּ מִֽהְיוֹת גּוֹי לְפָנַי כָּל-הַיָּמִֽים׃
If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
וָאֶקַּח אֶת-סֵפֶר הַמִּקְנָה אֶת-הֶֽחָתוּם הַמִּצְוָה וְהַחֻקִּים וְאֶת-הַגָּלֽוּי׃
So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:
כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה אִם-לֹא בְרִיתִי יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה חֻקּוֹת שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ לֹא-שָֽׂמְתִּי׃
Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;
לֹא דֻכְּאוּ עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה וְלֹא יָרְאוּ וְלֹֽא-הָלְכוּ בְתֽוֹרָתִי וּבְחֻקֹּתַי אֲשֶׁר-נָתַתִּי לִפְנֵיכֶם וְלִפְנֵי אֲבוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃
They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.
מִפְּנֵי אֲשֶׁר קִטַּרְתֶּם וַאֲשֶׁר חֲטָאתֶם לַיהוָה וְלֹא שְׁמַעְתֶּם בְּקוֹל יְהוָה וּבְתֹרָתוֹ וּבְחֻקֹּתָיו וּבְעֵדְוֺתָיו לֹא הֲלַכְתֶּם עַל-כֵּן קָרָאת אֶתְכֶם הָרָעָה הַזֹּאת כַּיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.
וַתֶּמֶר אֶת-מִשְׁפָּטַי לְרִשְׁעָה מִן-הַגּוֹיִם וְאֶת-חֻקּוֹתַי מִן-הָאֲרָצוֹת אֲשֶׁר סְבִיבוֹתֶיהָ כִּי בְמִשְׁפָּטַי מָאָסוּ וְחֻקּוֹתַי לֹא-הָלְכוּ בָהֶֽם׃
And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.
לָכֵן כֹּֽה-אָמַר׀ אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה יַעַן הֲמָנְכֶם מִן-הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר סְבִיבֽוֹתֵיכֶם בְּחֻקּוֹתַי לֹא הֲלַכְתֶּם וְאֶת-מִשְׁפָּטַי לֹא עֲשִׂיתֶם וּֽכְמִשְׁפְּטֵי הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר סְבִיבוֹתֵיכֶם לֹא עֲשִׂיתֶֽם׃
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;
וִֽידַעְתֶּם כִּֽי-אֲנִי יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר בְּחֻקַּי לֹא הֲלַכְתֶּם וּמִשְׁפָּטַי לֹא עֲשִׂיתֶם וּֽכְמִשְׁפְּטֵי הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר סְבִיבוֹתֵיכֶם עֲשִׂיתֶֽם׃
And ye shall know that I am the LORD: for ye have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have done after the manners of the heathen that are round about you.
לְמַעַן בְּחֻקֹּתַי יֵלֵכוּ וְאֶת-מִשְׁפָּטַי יִשְׁמְרוּ וְעָשׂוּ אֹתָם וְהָיוּ-לִי לְעָם וַאֲנִי אֶהְיֶה לָהֶם לֵאלֹהִֽים׃
That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
וְהִנֵּה נָטִיתִי יָדִי עָלַיִךְ וָאֶגְרַע חֻקֵּךְ וָאֶתְּנֵךְ בְּנֶפֶשׁ שֹׂנְאוֹתַיִךְ בְּנוֹת פְּלִשְׁתִּים הַנִּכְלָמוֹת מִדַּרְכֵּךְ זִמָּֽה׃
Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.
בְּחֻקּוֹתַי יְהַלֵּךְ וּמִשְׁפָּטַי שָׁמַר לַעֲשׂוֹת אֱמֶת צַדִּיק הוּא חָיֹה יִֽחְיֶה נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִֽה׃
Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.
מֵעָנִי הֵשִׁיב יָדוֹ נֶשֶׁךְ וְתַרְבִּית לֹא לָקָח מִשְׁפָּטַי עָשָׂה בְּחֻקּוֹתַי הָלָךְ הוּא לֹא יָמוּת בַּעֲוֺן אָבִיו חָיֹה יִחְיֶֽה׃
That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.
וַאֲמַרְתֶּם מַדֻּעַ לֹא-נָשָׂא הַבֵּן בַּעֲוֺן הָאָב וְהַבֵּן מִשְׁפָּט וּצְדָקָה עָשָׂה אֵת כָּל-חֻקּוֹתַי שָׁמַר וַיַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתָם חָיֹה יִחְיֶֽה׃
Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.
