עֵקֶב אֲשֶׁר-שָׁמַע אַבְרָהָם בְּקֹלִי וַיִּשְׁמֹר מִשְׁמַרְתִּי מִצְוֹתַי חֻקּוֹתַי וְתֽוֹרֹתָֽי׃
Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
רַק אַדְמַת הַכֹּֽהֲנִים לֹא קָנָה כִּי חֹק לַכֹּהֲנִים מֵאֵת פַּרְעֹה וְאָֽכְלוּ אֶת-חֻקָּם אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לָהֶם פַּרְעֹה עַל-כֵּן לֹא מָֽכְרוּ אֶת-אַדְמָתָֽם׃
Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands.
וַיָּשֶׂם אֹתָהּ יוֹסֵף לְחֹק עַד-הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה עַל-אַדְמַת מִצְרַיִם לְפַרְעֹה לַחֹמֶשׁ רַק אַדְמַת הַכֹּֽהֲנִים לְבַדָּם לֹא הָֽיְתָה לְפַרְעֹֽה׃
And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part; except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh's.
וַיֻּכּוּ שֹֽׁטְרֵי בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר-שָׂמוּ עֲלֵהֶם נֹֽגְשֵׂי פַרְעֹה לֵאמֹר מַדּוּעַ לֹא כִלִּיתֶם חָקְכֶם לִלְבֹּן כִּתְמוֹל שִׁלְשֹׁם גַּם-תְּמוֹל גַּם-הַיּֽוֹם׃
And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?
וְהָיָה הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה לָכֶם לְזִכָּרוֹן וְחַגֹּתֶם אֹתוֹ חַג לַֽיהוָה לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם חֻקַּת עוֹלָם תְּחָגֻּֽהוּ׃
And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם אֶת-הַמַּצּוֹת כִּי בְּעֶצֶם הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה הוֹצֵאתִי אֶת-צִבְאֽוֹתֵיכֶם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם אֶת-הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה לְדֹרֹֽתֵיכֶם חֻקַּת עוֹלָֽם׃
And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם אֶת-הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה לְחָק-לְךָ וּלְבָנֶיךָ עַד-עוֹלָֽם׃
And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.
וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל-מֹשֶׁה וְאַֽהֲרֹן זֹאת חֻקַּת הַפָּסַח כָּל-בֶּן-נֵכָר לֹא-יֹאכַל בּֽוֹ׃
And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:
וְשָֽׁמַרְתָּ אֶת-הַחֻקָּה הַזֹּאת לְמֽוֹעֲדָהּ מִיָּמִים יָמִֽימָה׃
Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.
וַיִּצְעַק אֶל-יְהוָה וַיּוֹרֵהוּ יְהוָה עֵץ וַיַּשְׁלֵךְ אֶל-הַמַּיִם וַֽיִּמְתְּקוּ הַמָּיִם שָׁם שָׂם לוֹ חֹק וּמִשְׁפָּט וְשָׁם נִסָּֽהוּ׃
And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
וַיֹּאמֶר אִם-שָׁמוֹעַ תִּשְׁמַע לְקוֹל׀ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְהַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינָיו תַּֽעֲשֶׂה וְהַֽאֲזַנְתָּ לְמִצְוֹתָיו וְשָֽׁמַרְתָּ כָּל-חֻקָּיו כָּֽל-הַמַּחֲלָה אֲשֶׁר-שַׂמְתִּי בְמִצְרַיִם לֹֽא-אָשִׂים עָלֶיךָ כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה רֹֽפְאֶֽךָ׃
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
כִּֽי-יִהְיֶה לָהֶם דָּבָר בָּא אֵלַי וְשָׁפַטְתִּי בֵּין אִישׁ וּבֵין רֵעֵהוּ וְהֽוֹדַעְתִּי אֶת-חֻקֵּי הָֽאֱלֹהִים וְאֶת-תּֽוֹרֹתָֽיו׃
When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.
וְהִזְהַרְתָּה אֶתְהֶם אֶת-הַֽחֻקִּים וְאֶת-הַתּוֹרֹת וְהֽוֹדַעְתָּ לָהֶם אֶת-הַדֶּרֶךְ יֵלְכוּ בָהּ וְאֶת-הַֽמַּעֲשֶׂה אֲשֶׁר יַֽעֲשֽׂוּן׃
And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.
בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד מִחוּץ לַפָּרֹכֶת אֲשֶׁר עַל-הָֽעֵדֻת יַֽעֲרֹךְ אֹתוֹ אַֽהֲרֹן וּבָנָיו מֵעֶרֶב עַד-בֹּקֶר לִפְנֵי יְהוָה חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתָם מֵאֵת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.
וְהָיוּ עַל-אַֽהֲרֹן וְעַל-בָּנָיו בְּבֹאָם׀ אֶל-אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד אוֹ בְגִשְׁתָּם אֶל-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ לְשָׁרֵת בַּקֹּדֶשׁ וְלֹֽא-יִשְׂאוּ עָוֹן וָמֵתוּ חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לוֹ וּלְזַרְעוֹ אַֽחֲרָֽיו׃
And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
וְחָֽגַרְתָּ אֹתָם אַבְנֵט אַֽהֲרֹן וּבָנָיו וְחָֽבַשְׁתָּ לָהֶם מִגְבָּעֹת וְהָֽיְתָה לָהֶם כְּהֻנָּה לְחֻקַּת עוֹלָם וּמִלֵּאתָ יַֽד-אַהֲרֹן וְיַד-בָּנָֽיו׃
And thou shalt gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the bonnets on them: and the priest's office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute: and thou shalt consecrate Aaron and his sons.
וְהָיָה לְאַֽהֲרֹן וּלְבָנָיו לְחָק-עוֹלָם מֵאֵת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי תְרוּמָה הוּא וּתְרוּמָה יִֽהְיֶה מֵאֵת בְּנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל מִזִּבְחֵי שַׁלְמֵיהֶם תְּרֽוּמָתָם לַֽיהוָֽה׃
And it shall be Aaron's and his sons' by a statute for ever from the children of Israel: for it is an heave offering: and it shall be an heave offering from the children of Israel of the sacrifice of their peace offerings, even their heave offering unto the LORD.
וְרָֽחֲצוּ יְדֵיהֶם וְרַגְלֵיהֶם וְלֹא יָמֻתוּ וְהָֽיְתָה לָהֶם חָק-עוֹלָם לוֹ וּלְזַרְעוֹ לְדֹֽרֹתָֽם׃
So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.
חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם בְּכֹל מוֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיכֶם כָּל-חֵלֶב וְכָל-דָּם לֹא תֹאכֵֽלוּ׃
It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.
כָּל-זָכָר בִּבְנֵי אַֽהֲרֹן יֹֽאכֲלֶנָּה חָק-עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם מֵֽאִשֵּׁי יְהוָה כֹּל אֲשֶׁר-יִגַּע בָּהֶם יִקְדָּֽשׁ׃
All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings made by fire: of the LORD every one that toucheth them shall be holy.
וְהַכֹּהֵן הַמָּשִׁיחַ תַּחְתָּיו מִבָּנָיו יַֽעֲשֶׂה אֹתָהּ חָק-עוֹלָם לַֽיהוָה כָּלִיל תָּקְטָֽר׃
And the priest of his sons that is anointed in his stead shall offer it: it is a statute for ever unto the LORD; it shall be wholly burnt.
כִּי אֶת-חֲזֵה הַתְּנוּפָה וְאֵת׀ שׁוֹק הַתְּרוּמָה לָקַחְתִּי מֵאֵת בְּנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל מִזִּבְחֵי שַׁלְמֵיהֶם וָֽאֶתֵּן אֹתָם לְאַֽהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֵן וּלְבָנָיו לְחָק-עוֹלָם מֵאֵת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
For the wave breast and the heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his sons by a statute for ever from among the children of Israel.
אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה לָתֵת לָהֶם בְּיוֹם מָשְׁחוֹ אֹתָם מֵאֵת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹֽרֹתָֽם׃
Which the LORD commanded to be given them of the children of Israel, in the day that he anointed them, by a statute for ever throughout their generations.
יַיִן וְשֵׁכָר אַל-תֵּשְׁתְּ׀ אַתָּה׀ וּבָנֶיךָ אִתָּךְ בְּבֹֽאֲכֶם אֶל-אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְלֹא תָמֻתוּ חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃
Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
וּלְהוֹרֹת אֶת-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֵת כָּל-הַחֻקִּים אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָה אֲלֵיהֶם בְּיַד-מֹשֶֽׁה׃
And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.
וַֽאֲכַלְתֶּם אֹתָהּ בְּמָקוֹם קָדוֹשׁ כִּי חָקְךָ וְחָק-בָּנֶיךָ הִוא מֵֽאִשֵּׁי יְהוָה כִּי-כֵן צֻוֵּֽיתִי׃
And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons' due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.
וְאֵת חֲזֵה הַתְּנוּפָה וְאֵת׀ שׁוֹק הַתְּרוּמָה תֹּֽאכְלוּ בְּמָקוֹם טָהוֹר אַתָּה וּבָנֶיךָ וּבְנֹתֶיךָ אִתָּךְ כִּֽי-חָקְךָ וְחָק-בָּנֶיךָ נִתְּנוּ מִזִּבְחֵי שַׁלְמֵי בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons' due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.
שׁוֹק הַתְּרוּמָה וַֽחֲזֵה הַתְּנוּפָה עַל אִשֵּׁי הַֽחֲלָבִים יָבִיאוּ לְהָנִיף תְּנוּפָה לִפְנֵי יְהוָה וְהָיָה לְךָ וּלְבָנֶיךָ אִתְּךָ לְחָק-עוֹלָם כַּֽאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָֽה׃
The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons' with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.
וְהָֽיְתָה לָכֶם לְחֻקַּת עוֹלָם בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי בֶּֽעָשׂוֹר לַחֹדֶשׁ תְּעַנּוּ אֶת-נַפְשֹֽׁתֵיכֶם וְכָל-מְלָאכָה לֹא תַֽעֲשׂוּ הָֽאֶזְרָח וְהַגֵּר הַגָּר בְּתֽוֹכְכֶֽם׃
And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
שַׁבַּת שַׁבָּתוֹן הִיא לָכֶם וְעִנִּיתֶם אֶת-נַפְשֹֽׁתֵיכֶם חֻקַּת עוֹלָֽם׃
It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.
וְהָֽיְתָה-זֹּאת לָכֶם לְחֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְכַפֵּר עַל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מִכָּל-חַטֹּאתָם אַחַת בַּשָּׁנָה וַיַּעַשׂ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת-מֹשֶֽׁה׃
And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.
וְלֹֽא-יִזְבְּחוּ עוֹד אֶת-זִבְחֵיהֶם לַשְּׂעִירִם אֲשֶׁר הֵם זֹנִים אַֽחֲרֵיהֶם חֻקַּת עוֹלָם תִּֽהְיֶה-זֹּאת לָהֶם לְדֹֽרֹתָֽם׃
And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.
כְּמַֽעֲשֵׂה אֶֽרֶץ-מִצְרַיִם אֲשֶׁר יְשַׁבְתֶּם-בָּהּ לֹא תַֽעֲשׂוּ וּכְמַֽעֲשֵׂה אֶֽרֶץ-כְּנַעַן אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי מֵבִיא אֶתְכֶם שָׁמָּה לֹא תַֽעֲשׂוּ וּבְחֻקֹּֽתֵיהֶם לֹא תֵלֵֽכוּ׃
After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
אֶת-מִשְׁפָּטַי תַּֽעֲשׂוּ וְאֶת-חֻקֹּתַי תִּשְׁמְרוּ לָלֶכֶת בָּהֶם אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶֽם׃
Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God.
וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם אֶת-חֻקֹּתַי וְאֶת-מִשְׁפָּטַי אֲשֶׁר יַֽעֲשֶׂה אֹתָם הָֽאָדָם וָחַי בָּהֶם אֲנִי יְהוָֽה׃
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם אַתֶּם אֶת-חֻקֹּתַי וְאֶת-מִשְׁפָּטַי וְלֹא תַֽעֲשׂוּ מִכֹּל הַתּֽוֹעֵבֹת הָאֵלֶּה הָֽאֶזְרָח וְהַגֵּר הַגָּר בְּתֽוֹכְכֶֽם׃
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם אֶת-מִשְׁמַרְתִּי לְבִלְתִּי עֲשׂוֹת מֵֽחֻקּוֹת הַתּֽוֹעֵבֹת אֲשֶׁר נַֽעֲשׂוּ לִפְנֵיכֶם וְלֹא תִֽטַּמְּאוּ בָּהֶם אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶֽם׃
Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
אֶֽת-חֻקֹּתַי תִּשְׁמֹרוּ בְּהֶמְתְּךָ לֹֽא-תַרְבִּיעַ כִּלְאַיִם שָֽׂדְךָ לֹֽא-תִזְרַע כִּלְאָיִם וּבֶגֶד כִּלְאַיִם שַֽׁעַטְנֵז לֹא יַֽעֲלֶה עָלֶֽיךָ׃
Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.
וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם אֶת-כָּל-חֻקֹּתַי וְאֶת-כָּל-מִשְׁפָּטַי וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶם אֹתָם אֲנִי יְהוָֽה׃
Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD.
וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם אֶת-חֻקֹּתַי וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶם אֹתָם אֲנִי יְהוָה מְקַדִּשְׁכֶֽם׃
And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.
וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם אֶת-כָּל-חֻקֹּתַי וְאֶת-כָּל-מִשְׁפָּטַי וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶם אֹתָם וְלֹֽא-תָקִיא אֶתְכֶם הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי מֵבִיא אֶתְכֶם שָׁמָּה לָשֶׁבֶת בָּֽהּ׃
Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out.
וְלֹא תֵֽלְכוּ בְּחֻקֹּת הַגּוֹי אֲשֶׁר-אֲנִי מְשַׁלֵּחַ מִפְּנֵיכֶם כִּי אֶת-כָּל-אֵלֶּה עָשׂוּ וָֽאָקֻץ בָּֽם׃
And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.
וְלֶחֶם וְקָלִי וְכַרְמֶל לֹא תֹֽאכְלוּ עַד-עֶצֶם הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה עַד הֲבִיאֲכֶם אֶת-קָרְבַּן אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם בְּכֹל מֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃
And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
וּקְרָאתֶם בְּעֶצֶם׀ הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה מִֽקְרָא-קֹדֶשׁ יִֽהְיֶה לָכֶם כָּל-מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה לֹא תַֽעֲשׂוּ חֻקַּת עוֹלָם בְּכָל-מוֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶם לְדֹרֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃
And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
כָּל-מְלָאכָה לֹא תַֽעֲשׂוּ חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם בְּכֹל מֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃
Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
וְחַגֹּתֶם אֹתוֹ חַג לַֽיהוָה שִׁבְעַת יָמִים בַּשָּׁנָה חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי תָּחֹגּוּ אֹתֽוֹ׃
And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
מִחוּץ לְפָרֹכֶת הָֽעֵדֻת בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד יַֽעֲרֹךְ אֹתוֹ אַֽהֲרֹן מֵעֶרֶב עַד-בֹּקֶר לִפְנֵי יְהוָה תָּמִיד חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃
Without the vail of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the LORD continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations.
וְהָֽיְתָה לְאַֽהֲרֹן וּלְבָנָיו וַֽאֲכָלֻהוּ בְּמָקוֹם קָדֹשׁ כִּי קֹדֶשׁ קָֽדָשִׁים הוּא לוֹ מֵֽאִשֵּׁי יְהוָה חָק-עוֹלָֽם׃
And it shall be Aaron's and his sons'; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.
וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶם אֶת-חֻקֹּתַי וְאֶת-מִשְׁפָּטַי תִּשְׁמְרוּ וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶם אֹתָם וִֽישַׁבְתֶּם עַל-הָאָרֶץ לָבֶֽטַח׃
Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
אִם-בְּחֻקֹּתַי תֵּלֵכוּ וְאֶת-מִצְוֹתַי תִּשְׁמְרוּ וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶם אֹתָֽם׃
If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
וְאִם-בְּחֻקֹּתַי תִּמְאָסוּ וְאִם אֶת-מִשְׁפָּטַי תִּגְעַל נַפְשְׁכֶם לְבִלְתִּי עֲשׂוֹת אֶת-כָּל-מִצְוֹתַי לְהַפְרְכֶם אֶת-בְּרִיתִֽי׃
And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
וְהָאָרֶץ תֵּֽעָזֵב מֵהֶם וְתִרֶץ אֶת-שַׁבְּתֹתֶיהָ בָּהְשַׁמָּה מֵהֶם וְהֵם יִרְצוּ אֶת-עֲוֹנָם יַעַן וּבְיַעַן בְּמִשְׁפָּטַי מָאָסוּ וְאֶת-חֻקֹּתַי גָּֽעֲלָה נַפְשָֽׁם׃
The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.
אֵלֶּה הַֽחֻקִּים וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים וְהַתּוֹרֹת אֲשֶׁר נָתַן יְהוָה בֵּינוֹ וּבֵין בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּהַר סִינַי בְּיַד-מֹשֶֽׁה׃
These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
בְּאַרְבָּעָה עָשָֽׂר-יוֹם בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַזֶּה בֵּין הָֽעֲרְבַּיִם תַּֽעֲשׂוּ אֹתוֹ בְּמֹֽעֲדוֹ כְּכָל-חֻקֹּתָיו וּכְכָל-מִשְׁפָּטָיו תַּֽעֲשׂוּ אֹתֽוֹ׃
In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it.
לֹֽא-יַשְׁאִירוּ מִמֶּנּוּ עַד-בֹּקֶר וְעֶצֶם לֹא יִשְׁבְּרוּ-בוֹ כְּכָל-חֻקַּת הַפֶּסַח יַֽעֲשׂוּ אֹתֽוֹ׃
They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.
וְכִֽי-יָגוּר אִתְּכֶם גֵּר וְעָשָֽׂה פֶסַח לַֽיהוָה כְּחֻקַּת הַפֶּסַח וּכְמִשְׁפָּטוֹ כֵּן יַֽעֲשֶׂה חֻקָּה אַחַת יִֽהְיֶה לָכֶם וְלַגֵּר וּלְאֶזְרַח הָאָֽרֶץ׃
And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.
וּבְנֵי אַֽהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֲנִים יִתְקְעוּ בַּחֲצֹֽצְרוֹת וְהָיוּ לָכֶם לְחֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃
And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.
הַקָּהָל חֻקָּה אַחַת לָכֶם וְלַגֵּר הַגָּר חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם כָּכֶם כַּגֵּר יִֽהְיֶה לִפְנֵי יְהוָֽה׃
One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.
וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶֽל-אַהֲרֹן וַֽאֲנִי הִנֵּה נָתַתִּֽי לְךָ אֶת-מִשְׁמֶרֶת תְּרֽוּמֹתָי לְכָל-קָדְשֵׁי בְנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל לְךָ נְתַתִּים לְמָשְׁחָה וּלְבָנֶיךָ לְחָק-עוֹלָֽם׃
And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Behold, I also have given thee the charge of mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto thee have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, by an ordinance for ever.
וְזֶה-לְּךָ תְּרוּמַת מַתָּנָם לְכָל-תְּנוּפֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְךָ נְתַתִּים וּלְבָנֶיךָ וְלִבְנֹתֶיךָ אִתְּךָ לְחָק-עוֹלָם כָּל-טָהוֹר בְּבֵֽיתְךָ יֹאכַל אֹתֽוֹ׃
And this is thine; the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: every one that is clean in thy house shall eat of it.
כֹּל׀ תְּרוּמֹת הַקֳּדָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר יָרִימוּ בְנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל לַֽיהוָה נָתַתִּֽי לְךָ וּלְבָנֶיךָ וְלִבְנֹתֶיךָ אִתְּךָ לְחָק-עוֹלָם בְּרִית מֶלַח עוֹלָם הִוא לִפְנֵי יְהוָה לְךָ וּֽלְזַרְעֲךָ אִתָּֽךְ׃
All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee.
וְעָבַד הַלֵּוִי הוּא אֶת-עֲבֹדַת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְהֵם יִשְׂאוּ עֲוֹנָם חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם וּבְתוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא יִנְחֲלוּ נַֽחֲלָֽה׃
But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.
זֹאת חֻקַּת הַתּוֹרָה אֲשֶׁר-צִוָּה יְהוָה לֵאמֹר דַּבֵּר׀ אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְיִקְחוּ אֵלֶיךָ פָרָה אֲדֻמָּה תְּמִימָה אֲשֶׁר אֵֽין-בָּהּ מוּם אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא-עָלָה עָלֶיהָ עֹֽל׃
This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:
וְכִבֶּס הָֽאֹסֵף אֶת-אֵפֶר הַפָּרָה אֶת-בְּגָדָיו וְטָמֵא עַד-הָעָרֶב וְֽהָיְתָה לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלַגֵּר הַגָּר בְּתוֹכָם לְחֻקַּת עוֹלָֽם׃
And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.
וְהָֽיְתָה לָּהֶם לְחֻקַּת עוֹלָם וּמַזֵּה מֵֽי-הַנִּדָּה יְכַבֵּס בְּגָדָיו וְהַנֹּגֵעַ בְּמֵי הַנִּדָּה יִטְמָא עַד-הָעָֽרֶב׃
And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even.
וְאִם-אֵין אַחִים לְאָבִיו וּנְתַתֶּם אֶת-נַֽחֲלָתוֹ לִשְׁאֵרוֹ הַקָּרֹב אֵלָיו מִמִּשְׁפַּחְתּוֹ וְיָרַשׁ אֹתָהּ וְֽהָיְתָה לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְחֻקַּת מִשְׁפָּט כַּֽאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת-מֹשֶֽׁה׃
And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses.
אֵלֶּה הַֽחֻקִּים אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת-מֹשֶׁה בֵּין אִישׁ לְאִשְׁתּוֹ בֵּֽין-אָב לְבִתּוֹ בִּנְעֻרֶיהָ בֵּית אָבִֽיהָ׃
These are the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father's house.
וַיֹּאמֶר אֶלְעָזָר הַכֹּהֵן אֶל-אַנְשֵׁי הַצָּבָא הַבָּאִים לַמִּלְחָמָה זֹאת חֻקַּת הַתּוֹרָה אֲשֶׁר-צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת-מֹשֶֽׁה׃
And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;
וְהָיוּ אֵלֶּה לָכֶם לְחֻקַּת מִשְׁפָּט לְדֹרֹֽתֵיכֶם בְּכֹל מוֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃
So these things shall be for a statute of judgment unto you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
וְעַתָּה יִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁמַע אֶל-הַֽחֻקִּים וְאֶל-הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי מְלַמֵּד אֶתְכֶם לַֽעֲשׂוֹת לְמַעַן תִּֽחְיוּ וּבָאתֶם וִֽירִשְׁתֶּם אֶת-הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אֲבֹֽתֵיכֶם נֹתֵן לָכֶֽם׃
Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
רְאֵה׀ לִמַּדְתִּי אֶתְכֶם חֻקִּים וּמִשְׁפָּטִים כַּֽאֲשֶׁר צִוַּנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהָי לַֽעֲשׂוֹת כֵּן בְּקֶרֶב הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם בָּאִים שָׁמָּה לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃
Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶם כִּי הִוא חָכְמַתְכֶם וּבִינַתְכֶם לְעֵינֵי הָֽעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁמְעוּן אֵת כָּל-הַֽחֻקִּים הָאֵלֶּה וְאָֽמְרוּ רַק עַם-חָכָם וְנָבוֹן הַגּוֹי הַגָּדוֹל הַזֶּֽה׃
Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
וּמִי גּוֹי גָּדוֹל אֲשֶׁר-לוֹ חֻקִּים וּמִשְׁפָּטִים צַדִּיקִם כְּכֹל הַתּוֹרָה הַזֹּאת אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי נֹתֵן לִפְנֵיכֶם הַיּֽוֹם׃
And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
וְאֹתִי צִוָּה יְהוָה בָּעֵת הַהִוא לְלַמֵּד אֶתְכֶם חֻקִּים וּמִשְׁפָּטִים לַעֲשֹֽׂתְכֶם אֹתָם בָּאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם עֹֽבְרִים שָׁמָּה לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃
And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.
וְשָֽׁמַרְתָּ אֶת-חֻקָּיו וְאֶת-מִצְוֹתָיו אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִיטַב לְךָ וּלְבָנֶיךָ אַֽחֲרֶיךָ וּלְמַעַן תַּֽאֲרִיךְ יָמִים עַל-הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לְךָ כָּל-הַיָּמִֽים׃
Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.
אֵלֶּה הָֽעֵדֹת וְהַֽחֻקִּים וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר מֹשֶׁה אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּצֵאתָם מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃
These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moses spake unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt,
וַיִּקְרָא מֹשֶׁה אֶל-כָּל-יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת-הַֽחֻקִּים וְאֶת-הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי דֹּבֵר בְּאָזְנֵיכֶם הַיּוֹם וּלְמַדְתֶּם אֹתָם וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם לַֽעֲשֹׂתָֽם׃
And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.
וְאַתָּה פֹּה עֲמֹד עִמָּדִי וַֽאֲדַבְּרָה אֵלֶיךָ אֵת כָּל-הַמִּצְוָה וְהַֽחֻקִּים וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר תְּלַמְּדֵם וְעָשׂוּ בָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי נֹתֵן לָהֶם לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃
But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.
וְזֹאת הַמִּצְוָה הַֽחֻקִּים וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם לְלַמֵּד אֶתְכֶם לַֽעֲשׂוֹת בָּאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם עֹֽבְרִים שָׁמָּה לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃
Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
לְמַעַן תִּירָא אֶת-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לִשְׁמֹר אֶת-כָּל-חֻקֹּתָיו וּמִצְוֹתָיו אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי מְצַוֶּךָ אַתָּה וּבִנְךָ וּבֶן-בִּנְךָ כֹּל יְמֵי חַיֶּיךָ וּלְמַעַן יַֽאֲרִכֻן יָמֶֽיךָ׃
That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
שָׁמוֹר תִּשְׁמְרוּן אֶת-מִצְוֹת יְהוָה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם וְעֵֽדֹתָיו וְחֻקָּיו אֲשֶׁר צִוָּֽךְ׃
Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
כִּֽי-יִשְׁאָלְךָ בִנְךָ מָחָר לֵאמֹר מָה הָֽעֵדֹת וְהַֽחֻקִּים וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֶתְכֶֽם׃
And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?
וַיְצַוֵּנוּ יְהוָה לַֽעֲשׂוֹת אֶת-כָּל-הַֽחֻקִּים הָאֵלֶּה לְיִרְאָה אֶת-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ לְטוֹב לָנוּ כָּל-הַיָּמִים לְחַיֹּתֵנוּ כְּהַיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
וְשָֽׁמַרְתָּ אֶת-הַמִּצְוָה וְאֶת-הַֽחֻקִּים וְאֶת-הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּוֹם לַֽעֲשׂוֹתָֽם׃
Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.
הִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ פֶּן-תִּשְׁכַּח אֶת-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לְבִלְתִּי שְׁמֹר מִצְוֹתָיו וּמִשְׁפָּטָיו וְחֻקֹּתָיו אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּֽוֹם׃
Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:
לִשְׁמֹר אֶת-מִצְוֹת יְהוָה וְאֶת-חֻקֹּתָיו אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּוֹם לְטוֹב לָֽךְ׃
To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
וְאָהַבְתָּ אֵת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְשָֽׁמַרְתָּ מִשְׁמַרְתּוֹ וְחֻקֹּתָיו וּמִשְׁפָּטָיו וּמִצְוֹתָיו כָּל-הַיָּמִֽים׃
Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.
וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם לַֽעֲשׂוֹת אֵת כָּל-הַֽחֻקִּים וְאֶת-הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי נֹתֵן לִפְנֵיכֶם הַיּֽוֹם׃
And ye shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.
אֵלֶּה הַֽחֻקִּים וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר תִּשְׁמְרוּן לַֽעֲשׂוֹת בָּאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר נָתַן יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אֲבֹתֶיךָ לְךָ לְרִשְׁתָּהּ כָּל-הַיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר-אַתֶּם חַיִּים עַל-הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃
These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.
וְזָכַרְתָּ כִּי-עֶבֶד הָיִיתָ בְּמִצְרָיִם וְשָֽׁמַרְתָּ וְעָשִׂיתָ אֶת-הַֽחֻקִּים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃
And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do these statutes.
וְהָֽיְתָה עִמּוֹ וְקָרָא בוֹ כָּל-יְמֵי חַיָּיו לְמַעַן יִלְמַד לְיִרְאָה אֶת-יְהוָה אֱלֹהָיו לִשְׁמֹר אֶֽת-כָּל-דִּבְרֵי הַתּוֹרָה הַזֹּאת וְאֶת-הַֽחֻקִּים הָאֵלֶּה לַֽעֲשֹׂתָֽם׃
And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:
הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ מְצַוְּךָ לַֽעֲשׂוֹת אֶת-הַֽחֻקִּים הָאֵלֶּה וְאֶת-הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים וְשָֽׁמַרְתָּ וְעָשִׂיתָ אוֹתָם בְּכָל-לְבָֽבְךָ וּבְכָל-נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃
This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
אֶת-יְהוָה הֶֽאֱמַרְתָּ הַיּוֹם לִֽהְיוֹת לְךָ לֵֽאלֹהִים וְלָלֶכֶת בִּדְרָכָיו וְלִשְׁמֹר חֻקָּיו וּמִצְוֹתָיו וּמִשְׁפָּטָיו וְלִשְׁמֹעַ בְּקֹלֽוֹ׃
Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:
וְשָׁמַעְתָּ בְּקוֹל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְעָשִׂיתָ אֶת-מִצְוֹתָו וְאֶת-חֻקָּיו אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּֽוֹם׃
Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
וְהָיָה אִם-לֹא תִשְׁמַע בְּקוֹל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לִשְׁמֹר לַֽעֲשׂוֹת אֶת-כָּל-מִצְוֹתָיו וְחֻקֹּתָיו אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּוֹם וּבָאוּ עָלֶיךָ כָּל-הַקְּלָלוֹת הָאֵלֶּה וְהִשִּׂיגֽוּךָ׃
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
וּבָאוּ עָלֶיךָ כָּל-הַקְּלָלוֹת הָאֵלֶּה וּרְדָפוּךָ וְהִשִּׂיגוּךָ עַד הִשָּֽׁמְדָךְ כִּי-לֹא שָׁמַעְתָּ בְּקוֹל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לִשְׁמֹר מִצְוֹתָיו וְחֻקֹּתָיו אֲשֶׁר צִוָּֽךְ׃
Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
כִּי תִשְׁמַע בְּקוֹל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לִשְׁמֹר מִצְוֹתָיו וְחֻקֹּתָיו הַכְּתוּבָה בְּסֵפֶר הַתּוֹרָה הַזֶּה כִּי תָשׁוּב אֶל-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכָל-לְבָֽבְךָ וּבְכָל-נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃
If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּוֹם לְאַֽהֲבָה אֶת-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לָלֶכֶת בִּדְרָכָיו וְלִשְׁמֹר מִצְוֹתָיו וְחֻקֹּתָיו וּמִשְׁפָּטָיו וְחָיִיתָ וְרָבִיתָ וּבֵֽרַכְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בָּאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר-אַתָּה בָא-שָׁמָּה לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃
In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
וַיִּכְרֹת יְהוֹשֻׁעַ בְּרִית לָעָם בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא וַיָּשֶׂם לוֹ חֹק וּמִשְׁפָּט בִּשְׁכֶֽם׃
So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.
וַיְהִי מִקֵּץ׀ שְׁנַיִם חֳדָשִׁים וַתָּשָׁב אֶל-אָבִיהָ וַיַּעַשׂ לָהּ אֶת-נִדְרוֹ אֲשֶׁר נָדָר וְהִיא לֹֽא-יָדְעָה אִישׁ וַתְּהִי-חֹק בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
