וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו קְחָה לִי עֶגְלָה מְשֻׁלֶּשֶׁת וְעֵז מְשֻׁלֶּשֶׁת וְאַיִל מְשֻׁלָּשׁ וְתֹר וְגוֹזָֽל׃
And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.
לֶךְ-נָא אֶל-הַצֹּאן וְקַֽח-לִי מִשָּׁם שְׁנֵי גְּדָיֵי עִזִּים טֹבִים וְאֶֽעֱשֶׂה אֹתָם מַטְעַמִּים לְאָבִיךָ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר אָהֵֽב׃
Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth:
וַיֹּאמֶר יַֽעֲקֹב אֶל-רִבְקָה אִמּוֹ הֵן עֵשָׂו אָחִי אִישׁ שָׂעִר וְאָֽנֹכִי אִישׁ חָלָֽק׃
And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man:
וְאֵת עֹרֹת גְּדָיֵי הָֽעִזִּים הִלְבִּישָׁה עַל-יָדָיו וְעַל חֶלְקַת צַוָּארָֽיו׃
And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck:
וְלֹא הִכִּירוֹ כִּֽי-הָיוּ יָדָיו כִּידֵי עֵשָׂו אָחִיו שְׂעִרֹת וַֽיְבָרְכֵֽהוּ׃
And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands: so he blessed him.
אֶֽעֱבֹר בְּכָל-צֹֽאנְךָ הַיּוֹם הָסֵר מִשָּׁם כָּל-שֶׂה׀ נָקֹד וְטָלוּא וְכָל-שֶׂה-חוּם בַּכְּשָׂבִים וְטָלוּא וְנָקֹד בָּֽעִזִּים וְהָיָה שְׂכָרִֽי׃
I will pass through all thy flock to day, removing from thence all the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire.
וְעָֽנְתָה-בִּי צִדְקָתִי בְּיוֹם מָחָר כִּֽי-תָבוֹא עַל-שְׂכָרִי לְפָנֶיךָ כֹּל אֲשֶׁר-אֵינֶנּוּ נָקֹד וְטָלוּא בָּֽעִזִּים וְחוּם בַּכְּשָׂבִים גָּנוּב הוּא אִתִּֽי׃
So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.
וַיָּסַר בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא אֶת-הַתְּיָשִׁים הָֽעֲקֻדִּים וְהַטְּלֻאִים וְאֵת כָּל-הָֽעִזִּים הַנְּקֻדּוֹת וְהַטְּלֻאֹת כֹּל אֲשֶׁר-לָבָן בּוֹ וְכָל-חוּם בַּכְּשָׂבִים וַיִּתֵּן בְּיַד-בָּנָֽיו׃
And he removed that day the he goats that were ringstraked and spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted, and every one that had some white in it, and all the brown among the sheep, and gave them into the hand of his sons.
זֶה עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה אָֽנֹכִי עִמָּךְ רְחֵלֶיךָ וְעִזֶּיךָ לֹא שִׁכֵּלוּ וְאֵילֵי צֹֽאנְךָ לֹא אָכָֽלְתִּי׃
This twenty years have I been with thee; thy ewes and thy she goats have not cast their young, and the rams of thy flock have I not eaten.
עִזִּים מָאתַיִם וּתְיָשִׁים עֶשְׂרִים רְחֵלִים מָאתַיִם וְאֵילִים עֶשְׂרִֽים׃
Two hundred she goats, and twenty he goats, two hundred ewes, and twenty rams,
וַיִּקְחוּ אֶת-כְּתֹנֶת יוֹסֵף וַֽיִּשְׁחֲטוּ שְׂעִיר עִזִּים וַיִּטְבְּלוּ אֶת-הַכֻּתֹּנֶת בַּדָּֽם׃
And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;
וַיֹּאמֶר אָֽנֹכִי אֲשַׁלַּח גְּדִֽי-עִזִּים מִן-הַצֹּאן וַתֹּאמֶר אִם-תִּתֵּן עֵֽרָבוֹן עַד שָׁלְחֶֽךָ׃
And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it?
וַיִּשְׁלַח יְהוּדָה אֶת-גְּדִי הָֽעִזִּים בְּיַד רֵעֵהוּ הָֽעֲדֻלָּמִי לָקַחַת הָעֵֽרָבוֹן מִיַּד הָֽאִשָּׁה וְלֹא מְצָאָֽהּ׃
And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman's hand: but he found her not.
שֶׂה תָמִים זָכָר בֶּן-שָׁנָה יִֽהְיֶה לָכֶם מִן-הַכְּבָשִׂים וּמִן-הָֽעִזִּים תִּקָּֽחוּ׃
Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
וּתְכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ וְעִזִּֽים׃
And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,
וְעָשִׂיתָ יְרִיעֹת עִזִּים לְאֹהֶל עַל-הַמִּשְׁכָּן עַשְׁתֵּי-עֶשְׂרֵה יְרִיעֹת תַּֽעֲשֶׂה אֹתָֽם׃
And thou shalt make curtains of goats' hair to be a covering upon the tabernacle: eleven curtains shalt thou make.
וּתְכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ וְעִזִּֽים׃
And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,
וְכָל-אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר-נִמְצָא אִתּוֹ תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ וְעִזִּים וְעֹרֹת אֵילִם מְאָדָּמִים וְעֹרֹת תְּחָשִׁים הֵבִֽיאוּ׃
And every man, with whom was found blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair, and red skins of rams, and badgers' skins, brought them.
וְכָל-הַנָּשִׁים אֲשֶׁר נָשָׂא לִבָּן אֹתָנָה בְּחָכְמָה טָווּ אֶת-הָֽעִזִּֽים׃
And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats' hair.
וַיַּעַשׂ יְרִיעֹת עִזִּים לְאֹהֶל עַל-הַמִּשְׁכָּן עַשְׁתֵּֽי-עֶשְׂרֵה יְרִיעֹת עָשָׂה אֹתָֽם׃
And he made curtains of goats' hair for the tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains he made them.
וְאִם-מִן-הַצֹּאן קָרְבָּנוֹ מִן-הַכְּשָׂבִים אוֹ מִן-הָֽעִזִּים לְעֹלָה זָכָר תָּמִים יַקְרִיבֶֽנּוּ׃
And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring it a male without blemish.
וְאִם עֵז קָרְבָּנוֹ וְהִקְרִיבוֹ לִפְנֵי יְהוָֽה׃
And if his offering be a goat, then he shall offer it before the LORD.
אֽוֹ-הוֹדַע אֵלָיו חַטָּאתוֹ אֲשֶׁר חָטָא בָּהּ וְהֵבִיא אֶת-קָרְבָּנוֹ שְׂעִיר עִזִּים זָכָר תָּמִֽים׃
Or if his sin, wherein he hath sinned, come to his knowledge; he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a male without blemish:
וְסָמַךְ יָדוֹ עַל-רֹאשׁ הַשָּׂעִיר וְשָׁחַט אֹתוֹ בִּמְקוֹם אֲשֶׁר-יִשְׁחַט אֶת-הָֽעֹלָה לִפְנֵי יְהוָה חַטָּאת הֽוּא׃
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the LORD: it is a sin offering.
אוֹ הוֹדַע אֵלָיו חַטָּאתוֹ אֲשֶׁר חָטָא וְהֵבִיא קָרְבָּנוֹ שְׂעִירַת עִזִּים תְּמִימָה נְקֵבָה עַל-חַטָּאתוֹ אֲשֶׁר חָטָֽא׃
Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned.
וְהֵבִיא אֶת-אֲשָׁמוֹ לַֽיהוָה עַל חַטָּאתוֹ אֲשֶׁר חָטָא נְקֵבָה מִן-הַצֹּאן כִּשְׂבָּה אֽוֹ-שְׂעִירַת עִזִּים לְחַטָּאת וְכִפֶּר עָלָיו הַכֹּהֵן מֵֽחַטָּאתֽוֹ׃
And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.
דַּבֵּר אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר כָּל-חֵלֶב שׁוֹר וְכֶשֶׂב וָעֵז לֹא תֹאכֵֽלוּ׃
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Ye shall eat no manner of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat.
וְאֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל תְּדַבֵּר לֵאמֹר קְחוּ שְׂעִיר-עִזִּים לְחַטָּאת וְעֵגֶל וָכֶבֶשׂ בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה תְּמִימִם לְעֹלָֽה׃
And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering;
וַיַּקְרֵב אֵת קָרְבַּן הָעָם וַיִּקַּח אֶת-שְׂעִיר הַֽחַטָּאת אֲשֶׁר לָעָם וַיִּשְׁחָטֵהוּ וַֽיְחַטְּאֵהוּ כָּֽרִאשֽׁוֹן׃
And he brought the people's offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.
וְאֵת׀ שְׂעִיר הַֽחַטָּאת דָּרֹשׁ דָּרַשׁ מֹשֶׁה וְהִנֵּה שֹׂרָף וַיִּקְצֹף עַל-אֶלְעָזָר וְעַל-אִֽיתָמָר בְּנֵי אַֽהֲרֹן הַנּֽוֹתָרִם לֵאמֹֽר׃
And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,
וּמֵאֵת עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל יִקַּח שְׁנֵֽי-שְׂעִירֵי עִזִּים לְחַטָּאת וְאַיִל אֶחָד לְעֹלָֽה׃
And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.
וְלָקַח אֶת-שְׁנֵי הַשְּׂעִירִם וְהֶֽעֱמִיד אֹתָם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃
And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
וְנָתַן אַֽהֲרֹן עַל-שְׁנֵי הַשְּׂעִירִם גֹּֽרָלוֹת גּוֹרָל אֶחָד לַֽיהוָה וְגוֹרָל אֶחָד לַֽעֲזָאזֵֽל׃
And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat.
וְהִקְרִיב אַֽהֲרֹן אֶת-הַשָּׂעִיר אֲשֶׁר עָלָה עָלָיו הַגּוֹרָל לַֽיהוָה וְעָשָׂהוּ חַטָּֽאת׃
And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD's lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.
וְהַשָּׂעִיר אֲשֶׁר עָלָה עָלָיו הַגּוֹרָל לַֽעֲזָאזֵל יָֽעֳמַד-חַי לִפְנֵי יְהוָה לְכַפֵּר עָלָיו לְשַׁלַּח אֹתוֹ לַֽעֲזָאזֵל הַמִּדְבָּֽרָה׃
But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.
וְשָׁחַט אֶת-שְׂעִיר הַֽחַטָּאת אֲשֶׁר לָעָם וְהֵבִיא אֶת-דָּמוֹ אֶל-מִבֵּית לַפָּרֹכֶת וְעָשָׂה אֶת-דָּמוֹ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה לְדַם הַפָּר וְהִזָּה אֹתוֹ עַל-הַכַּפֹּרֶת וְלִפְנֵי הַכַּפֹּֽרֶת׃
Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:
וְיָצָא אֶל-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ אֲשֶׁר לִפְנֵֽי-יְהוָה וְכִפֶּר עָלָיו וְלָקַח מִדַּם הַפָּר וּמִדַּם הַשָּׂעִיר וְנָתַן עַל-קַרְנוֹת הַמִּזְבֵּחַ סָבִֽיב׃
And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.
וְכִלָּה מִכַּפֵּר אֶת-הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְאֶת-אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְאֶת-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְהִקְרִיב אֶת-הַשָּׂעִיר הֶחָֽי׃
And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:
וְסָמַךְ אַֽהֲרֹן אֶת-שְׁתֵּי (ידו) יָדָיו עַל רֹאשׁ הַשָּׂעִיר הַחַי וְהִתְוַדָּה עָלָיו אֶת-כָּל-עֲוֹנֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאֶת-כָּל-פִּשְׁעֵיהֶם לְכָל-חַטֹּאתָם וְנָתַן אֹתָם עַל-רֹאשׁ הַשָּׂעִיר וְשִׁלַּח בְּיַד-אִישׁ עִתִּי הַמִּדְבָּֽרָה׃
And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
וְנָשָׂא הַשָּׂעִיר עָלָיו אֶת-כָּל-עֲוֹֽנֹתָם אֶל-אֶרֶץ גְּזֵרָה וְשִׁלַּח אֶת-הַשָּׂעִיר בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃
And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.
וְהַֽמְשַׁלֵּחַ אֶת-הַשָּׂעִיר לַֽעֲזָאזֵל יְכַבֵּס בְּגָדָיו וְרָחַץ אֶת-בְּשָׂרוֹ בַּמָּיִם וְאַֽחֲרֵי-כֵן יָבוֹא אֶל-הַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃
And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.
וְאֵת פַּר הַֽחַטָּאת וְאֵת׀ שְׂעִיר הַֽחַטָּאת אֲשֶׁר הוּבָא אֶת-דָּמָם לְכַפֵּר בַּקֹּדֶשׁ יוֹצִיא אֶל-מִחוּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶה וְשָֽׂרְפוּ בָאֵשׁ אֶת-עֹֽרֹתָם וְאֶת-בְּשָׂרָם וְאֶת-פִּרְשָֽׁם׃
And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.
אִישׁ אִישׁ מִבֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁחַט שׁוֹר אוֹ-כֶשֶׂב אוֹ-עֵז בַּֽמַּחֲנֶה אוֹ אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁחַט מִחוּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃
What man soever there be of the house of Israel, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that killeth it out of the camp,
וְלֹֽא-יִזְבְּחוּ עוֹד אֶת-זִבְחֵיהֶם לַשְּׂעִירִם אֲשֶׁר הֵם זֹנִים אַֽחֲרֵיהֶם חֻקַּת עוֹלָם תִּֽהְיֶה-זֹּאת לָהֶם לְדֹֽרֹתָֽם׃
And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.
לִֽרְצֹנְכֶם תָּמִים זָכָר בַּבָּקָר בַּכְּשָׂבִים וּבָֽעִזִּֽים׃
Ye shall offer at your own will a male without blemish, of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats.
שׁוֹר אוֹ-כֶשֶׂב אוֹ-עֵז כִּי יִוָּלֵד וְהָיָה שִׁבְעַת יָמִים תַּחַת אִמּוֹ וּמִיּוֹם הַשְּׁמִינִי וָהָלְאָה יֵֽרָצֶה לְקָרְבַּן אִשֶּׁה לַֽיהוָֽה׃
When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶם שְׂעִיר-עִזִּים אֶחָד לְחַטָּאת וּשְׁנֵי כְבָשִׂים בְּנֵי שָׁנָה לְזֶבַח שְׁלָמִֽים׃
Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
כָּל-הַבָּקָר לָֽעֹלָה שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר פָּרִים אֵילִם שְׁנֵים-עָשָׂר כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר וּמִנְחָתָם וּשְׂעִירֵי עִזִּים שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר לְחַטָּֽאת׃
All the oxen for the burnt offering were twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the lambs of the first year twelve, with their meat offering: and the kids of the goats for sin offering twelve.
כָּכָה יֵֽעָשֶׂה לַשּׁוֹר הָֽאֶחָד אוֹ לָאַיִל הָֽאֶחָד אֽוֹ-לַשֶּׂה בַכְּבָשִׂים אוֹ בָֽעִזִּֽים׃
Thus shall it be done for one bullock, or for one ram, or for a lamb, or a kid.
וְהָיָה אִם מֵֽעֵינֵי הָֽעֵדָה נֶֽעֶשְׂתָה לִשְׁגָגָה וְעָשׂוּ כָל-הָֽעֵדָה פַּר בֶּן-בָּקָר אֶחָד לְעֹלָה לְרֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַֽיהוָה וּמִנְחָתוֹ וְנִסְכּוֹ כַּמִּשְׁפָּט וּשְׂעִיר-עִזִּים אֶחָד לְחַטָּֽת׃
Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the LORD, with his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.
וְאִם-נֶפֶשׁ אַחַת תֶּֽחֱטָא בִשְׁגָגָה וְהִקְרִיבָה עֵז בַּת-שְׁנָתָהּ לְחַטָּֽאת׃
And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.
אַךְ בְּֽכוֹר-שׁוֹר אֽוֹ-בְכוֹר כֶּשֶׂב אֽוֹ-בְכוֹר עֵז לֹא תִפְדֶּה קֹדֶשׁ הֵם אֶת-דָּמָם תִּזְרֹק עַל-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְאֶת-חֶלְבָּם תַּקְטִיר אִשֶּׁה לְרֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַֽיהוָֽה׃
But the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou shalt not redeem; they are holy: thou shalt sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shalt burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
וּשְׂעִיר עִזִּים אֶחָד לְחַטָּאת לַֽיהוָה עַל-עֹלַת הַתָּמִיד יֵֽעָשֶׂה וְנִסְכּֽוֹ׃
And one kid of the goats for a sin offering unto the LORD shall be offered, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.
וּשְׂעִיר חַטָּאת אֶחָד לְכַפֵּר עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃
And one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you.
שְׂעִיר עִזִּים אֶחָד לְכַפֵּר עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃
And one kid of the goats, to make an atonement for you.
וּשְׂעִיר-עִזִּים אֶחָד חַטָּאת לְכַפֵּר עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃
And one kid of the goats for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you:
שְׂעִיר-עִזִּים אֶחָד חַטָּאת מִלְּבַד חַטַּאת הַכִּפֻּרִים וְעֹלַת הַתָּמִיד וּמִנְחָתָהּ וְנִסְכֵּיהֶֽם׃
One kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the sin offering of atonement, and the continual burnt offering, and the meat offering of it, and their drink offerings.
וּשְׂעִיר-עִזִּים אֶחָד חַטָּאת מִלְּבַד עֹלַת הַתָּמִיד מִנְחָתָהּ וְנִסְכָּֽהּ׃
And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.
וּשְׂעִיר-עִזִּים אֶחָד חַטָּאת מִלְּבַד עֹלַת הַתָּמִיד וּמִנְחָתָהּ וְנִסְכֵּיהֶֽם׃

וּשְׂעִיר חַטָּאת אֶחָד מִלְּבַד עֹלַת הַתָּמִיד וּמִנְחָתָהּ וְנִסְכָּֽהּ׃
And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, and his drink offering.
וּשְׂעִיר-עִזִּים אֶחָד חַטָּאת מִלְּבַד עֹלַת הַתָּמִיד מִנְחָתָהּ וְנִסְכָּֽהּ׃

And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.
זֹאת הַבְּהֵמָה אֲשֶׁר תֹּאכֵלוּ שׁוֹר שֵׂה כְשָׂבִים וְשֵׂה עִזִּֽים׃
These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
וְגִדְעוֹן בָּא וַיַּעַשׂ גְּדִֽי-עִזִּים וְאֵיפַת-קֶמַח מַצּוֹת הַבָּשָׂר שָׂם בַּסַּל וְהַמָּרַק שָׂם בַּפָּרוּר וַיּוֹצֵא אֵלָיו אֶל-תַּחַת הָֽאֵלָה וַיַּגַּֽשׁ׃
And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.
וַיֹּאמֶר מָנוֹחַ אֶל-מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה נַעְצְרָה-נָּא אוֹתָךְ וְנַֽעֲשֶׂה לְפָנֶיךָ גְּדִי עִזִּֽים׃
And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, I pray thee, let us detain thee, until we shall have made ready a kid for thee.
וַיִּקַּח מָנוֹחַ אֶת-גְּדִי הָֽעִזִּים וְאֶת-הַמִּנְחָה וַיַּעַל עַל-הַצּוּר לַֽיהוָה וּמַפְלִא לַֽעֲשׂוֹת וּמָנוֹחַ וְאִשְׁתּוֹ רֹאִֽים׃
So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the LORD: and the angel did wondrously; and Manoah and his wife looked on.
וַיְהִי מִיָּמִים בִּימֵי קְצִיר-חִטִּים וַיִּפְקֹד שִׁמְשׁוֹן אֶת-אִשְׁתּוֹ בִּגְדִי עִזִּים וַיֹּאמֶר אָבֹאָה אֶל-אִשְׁתִּי הֶחָדְרָה וְלֹֽא-נְתָנוֹ אָבִיהָ לָבֽוֹא׃
But it came to pass within a while after, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not suffer him to go in.
וַיִּקַּח יִשַׁי חֲמוֹר לֶחֶם וְנֹאד יַיִן וּגְדִי עִזִּים אֶחָד וַיִּשְׁלַח בְּיַד-דָּוִד בְּנוֹ אֶל-שָׁאֽוּל׃
And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul.
וַתִּקַּח מִיכַל אֶת-הַתְּרָפִים וַתָּשֶׂם אֶל-הַמִּטָּה וְאֵת כְּבִיר הָֽעִזִּים שָׂמָה מְרַֽאֲשֹׁתָיו וַתְּכַס בַּבָּֽגֶד׃
And Michal took an image, and laid it in the bed, and put a pillow of goats' hair for his bolster, and covered it with a cloth.
וַיָּבֹאוּ הַמַּלְאָכִים וְהִנֵּה הַתְּרָפִים אֶל-הַמִּטָּה וּכְבִיר הָֽעִזִּים מְרַֽאֲשֹׁתָֽיו׃
And when the messengers were come in, behold, there was an image in the bed, with a pillow of goats' hair for his bolster.
וְאִישׁ בְּמָעוֹן וּמַֽעֲשֵׂהוּ בַכַּרְמֶל וְהָאִישׁ גָּדוֹל מְאֹד וְלוֹ צֹאן שְׁלֹֽשֶׁת-אֲלָפִים וְאֶלֶף עִזִּים וַיְהִי בִּגְזֹז אֶת-צֹאנוֹ בַּכַּרְמֶֽל׃
And there was a man in Maon, whose possessions were in Carmel; and the man was very great, and he had three thousand sheep, and a thousand goats: and he was shearing his sheep in Carmel.
וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הָתְפָּֽקְדוּ וְכָלְכְּלוּ וַיֵּֽלְכוּ לִקְרָאתָם וַיַּֽחֲנוּ בְנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל נֶגְדָּם כִּשְׁנֵי חֲשִׂפֵי עִזִּים וַֽאֲרָם מִלְאוּ אֶת-הָאָֽרֶץ׃
And the children of Israel were numbered, and were all present, and went against them: and the children of Israel pitched before them like two little flocks of kids; but the Syrians filled the country.
וַיַּֽעֲמֶד-לוֹ כֹּֽהֲנִים לַבָּמוֹת וְלַשְּׂעִירִים וְלָֽעֲגָלִים אֲשֶׁר עָשָֽׂה׃
And he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils, and for the calves which he had made.
וַיָּבִיאוּ פָרִים-שִׁבְעָה וְאֵילִים שִׁבְעָה וּכְבָשִׂים שִׁבְעָה וּצְפִירֵי עִזִּים שִׁבְעָה לְחַטָּאת עַל-הַמַּמְלָכָה וְעַל-הַמִּקְדָּשׁ וְעַל-יְהוּדָה וַיֹּאמֶר לִבְנֵי אַֽהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֲנִים לְהַֽעֲלוֹת עַל-מִזְבַּח יְהוָֽה׃
And they brought seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven he goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah. And he commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the altar of the LORD.
וַיַּגִּישׁוּ אֶת-שְׂעִירֵי הַֽחַטָּאת לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַקָּהָל וַיִּסְמְכוּ יְדֵיהֶם עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃
And they brought forth the he goats for the sin offering before the king and the congregation; and they laid their hands upon them:
וַיָּרֶם יֹֽאשִׁיָּהוּ לִבְנֵי הָעָם צֹאן כְּבָשִׂים וּבְנֵֽי-עִזִּים הַכֹּל לַפְּסָחִים לְכָל-הַנִּמְצָא לְמִסְפַּר שְׁלֹשִׁים אֶלֶף וּבָקָר שְׁלֹשֶׁת אֲלָפִים אֵלֶּה מֵֽרְכוּשׁ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these were of the king's substance.
וְדֵי׀ חֲלֵב עִזִּים לְֽלַחְמְךָ לְלֶחֶם בֵּיתֶךָ וְחַיִּים לְנַעֲרוֹתֶֽיךָ׃
And thou shalt have goats' milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.
הִנָּךְ יָפָה רַעְיָתִי הִנָּךְ יָפָה עֵינַיִךְ יוֹנִים מִבַּעַד לְצַמָּתֵךְ שַׂעְרֵךְ כְּעֵדֶר הָֽעִזִּים שֶׁגָּלְשׁוּ מֵהַר גִּלְעָֽד׃
Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead.
הָסֵבִּי עֵינַיִךְ מִנֶּגְדִּי שֶׁהֵם הִרְהִיבֻנִי שַׂעְרֵךְ כְּעֵדֶר הָֽעִזִּים שֶׁגָּלְשׁוּ מִן-הַגִּלְעָֽד׃
Turn away thine eyes from me, for they have overcome me: thy hair is as a flock of goats that appear from Gilead.
וְרָבְצוּ-שָׁם צִיִּים וּמָלְאוּ בָתֵּיהֶם אֹחִים וְשָׁכְנוּ שָׁם בְּנוֹת יַֽעֲנָה וּשְׂעִירִים יְרַקְּדוּ-שָֽׁם׃
But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.
וּפָגְשׁוּ צִיִּים אֶת-אִיִּים וְשָׂעִיר עַל-רֵעֵהוּ יִקְרָא אַךְ-שָׁם הִרְגִּיעָה לִּילִית וּמָצְאָה לָהּ מָנֽוֹחַ׃
The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.
וּבַיּוֹם הַשֵּׁנִי תַּקְרִיב שְׂעִיר-עִזִּים תָּמִים לְחַטָּאת וְחִטְּאוּ אֶת-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ כַּאֲשֶׁר חִטְּאוּ בַּפָּֽר׃
And on the second day thou shalt offer a kid of the goats without blemish for a sin offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as they did cleanse it with the bullock.
שִׁבְעַת יָמִים תַּעֲשֶׂה שְׂעִיר-חַטָּאת לַיּוֹם וּפַר בֶּן-בָּקָר וְאַיִל מִן-הַצֹּאן תְּמִימִים יַעֲשֽׂוּ׃
Seven days shalt thou prepare every day a goat for a sin offering: they shall also prepare a young bullock, and a ram out of the flock, without blemish.
וְשִׁבְעַת יְמֵֽי-הֶחָג יַעֲשֶׂה עוֹלָה לַֽיהוָה שִׁבְעַת פָּרִים וְשִׁבְעַת אֵילִים תְּמִימִם לַיּוֹם שִׁבְעַת הַיָּמִים וְחַטָּאת שְׂעִיר עִזִּים לַיּֽוֹם׃
And seven days of the feast he shall prepare a burnt offering to the LORD, seven bullocks and seven rams without blemish daily the seven days; and a kid of the goats daily for a sin offering.
