1 Corinthians 10:9

μηδὲ ἐκπειράζωμεν τὸν Χριστόν καθὼς καί τινες αὐτῶν ἐπείρασαν καὶ ὑπὸ τῶν ὄφεων ἀπώλοντο

Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
