We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;
וַאֲנִי תָּמִיד אֲיַחֵל וְהוֹסַפְתִּי עַל-כָּל-תְּהִלָּתֶֽךָ׃
But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
וַיָּבֹא הַמֶּלֶךְ דָּוִד וַיֵּשֶׁב לִפְנֵי יְהוָה וַיֹּאמֶר מִי אָֽנֹכִי אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה וּמִי בֵיתִי כִּי הֲבִֽאֹתַנִי עַד-הֲלֹֽם׃
Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
διὰ τοῦτο παρεκλήθημεν ἀδελφοί ἐφ' ὑμῖν ἐπὶ πάσῃ τῇ θλίψει καὶ ἀνάγκῃ ἡμῶν διὰ τῆς ὑμῶν πίστεως
Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
וְשָֽׂמַחְתָּ לִפְנֵי׀ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אַתָּה וּבִנְךָ וּבִתֶּךָ וְעַבְדְּךָ וַֽאֲמָתֶךָ וְהַלֵּוִי אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ וְהַגֵּר וְהַיָּתוֹם וְהָֽאַלְמָנָה אֲשֶׁר בְּקִרְבֶּךָ בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמוֹ שָֽׁם׃
And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
τίς γὰρ ἡμῶν ἐλπὶς ἢ χαρὰ ἢ στέφανος καυχήσεως ἢ οὐχὶ καὶ ὑμεῖς ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ ἐν τῇ αὐτοῦ παρουσίᾳ
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together
וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ הַלְוִיִּם יֵשׁוּעַ וְקַדְמִיאֵל בָּנִי חֲשַׁבְנְיָה שֵׁרֵֽבְיָה הֽוֹדִיָּה שְׁבַנְיָה פְתַֽחְיָה קוּמוּ בָּרֲכוּ אֶת-יְהוָה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם מִן-הָֽעוֹלָם עַד-הָֽעוֹלָם וִיבָֽרְכוּ שֵׁם כְּבוֹדֶךָ וּמְרוֹמַם עַל-כָּל-בְּרָכָה וּתְהִלָּֽה׃
Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.
וַיֹּאמֶר דָּוִד אֶל-מִיכַל לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר בָּֽחַר-בִּי מֵֽאָבִיךְ וּמִכָּל-בֵּיתוֹ לְצַוֹּת אֹתִי נָגִיד עַל-עַם יְהוָה עַל-יִשְׂרָאֵל וְשִֽׂחַקְתִּי לִפְנֵי יְהוָֽה׃
And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.
כִּי אִם-לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ תֹּֽאכְלֶנּוּ בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בּוֹ אַתָּה וּבִנְךָ וּבִתֶּךָ וְעַבְדְּךָ וַֽאֲמָתֶךָ וְהַלֵּוִי אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ וְשָֽׂמַחְתָּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכֹל מִשְׁלַח יָדֶֽךָ׃
But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.
אַבֵּד תְּאַבְּדוּן אֶֽת-כָּל-הַמְּקֹמוֹת אֲשֶׁר עָֽבְדוּ-שָׁם הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם יֹֽרְשִׁים אֹתָם אֶת-אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶם עַל-הֶֽהָרִים הָֽרָמִים וְעַל-הַגְּבָעוֹת וְתַחַת כָּל-עֵץ רַֽעֲנָֽן׃
Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:
וְֽצַדִּיקִים יִשְׂמְחוּ יַֽעַלְצוּ לִפְנֵי אֱלֹהִים וְיָשִׂישׂוּ בְשִׂמְחָֽה׃
But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
Τῷ δὲ θεῷ χάρις τῷ πάντοτε θριαμβεύοντι ἡμᾶς ἐν τῷ Χριστῷ καὶ τὴν ὀσμὴν τῆς γνώσεως αὐτοῦ φανεροῦντι δι' ἡμῶν ἐν παντὶ τόπῳ·
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth to triumph us in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
