As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Περὶ δὲ τῆς φιλαδελφίας οὐ χρείαν ἔχετε γράφειν ὑμῖν αὐτοὶ γὰρ ὑμεῖς θεοδίδακτοί ἐστε εἰς τὸ ἀγαπᾶν ἀλλήλους
But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
μετὰ πολλῆς παρακλήσεως δεόμενοι ἡμῶν τὴν χάριν καὶ τὴν κοινωνίαν τῆς διακονίας τῆς εἰς τοὺς ἁγίους δέξασθαι ἡμᾶς·
Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
ὅτι ἡ διακονία τῆς λειτουργίας ταύτης οὐ μόνον ἐστὶν προσαναπληροῦσα τὰ ὑστερήματα τῶν ἁγίων ἀλλὰ καὶ περισσεύουσα διὰ πολλῶν εὐχαριστιῶν τῷ θεῷ
For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
Περὶ δὲ τῶν χρόνων καὶ τῶν καιρῶν ἀδελφοί οὐ χρείαν ἔχετε ὑμῖν γράφεσθαι
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
μόνον τῶν πτωχῶν ἵνα μνημονεύωμεν ὃ καὶ ἐσπούδασα αὐτὸ τοῦτο ποιῆσαι
Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.
καὶ ὑμεῖς τὸ χρῖσμα ὃ ἐλάβετε ἀπ' αὐτοῦ ἐν ὑμῖν μένει καὶ οὐ χρείαν ἔχετε ἵνα τις διδάσκῃ ὑμᾶς ἀλλ' ὡς τὸ αὐτὸ χρῖσμα διδάσκει ὑμᾶς περὶ πάντων καὶ ἀληθές ἐστιν καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ψεῦδος καὶ καθὼς ἐδίδαξεν ὑμᾶς μενεῖτε ἐν αὐτῷ
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
רָחַשׁ לִבִּי׀ דָּבָר טוֹב אֹמֵר אָנִי מַעֲשַׂי לְמֶלֶךְ לְשׁוֹנִי עֵט׀ סוֹפֵר מָהִֽיר׃
My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
וְהַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר דִּבַּרְנוּ אֲנִי וָאָתָּה הִנֵּה יְהוָה בֵּינִי וּבֵֽינְךָ עַד-עוֹלָֽם׃
And as touching the matter which thou and I have spoken of, behold, the LORD be between thee and me for ever.
περιτομῇ ὀκταήμερος ἐκ γένους Ἰσραήλ φυλῆς Βενιαμίν Ἑβραῖος ἐξ Ἑβραίων κατὰ νόμον Φαρισαῖος
Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
וְאֶל-מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה הַשֹּׁלֵחַ אֶתְכֶם לִדְרֹשׁ אֶת-יְהוָה כֹּה תֹֽאמְרוּ אֵלָיו כֹּֽה-אָמַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הַדְּבָרִים אֲשֶׁר שָׁמָֽעְתָּ׃
But to the king of Judah which sent you to inquire of the LORD, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard;
κατὰ μὲν τὸ εὐαγγέλιον ἐχθροὶ δι' ὑμᾶς κατὰ δὲ τὴν ἐκλογὴν ἀγαπητοὶ διὰ τοὺς πατέρας·
As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for sakes: your but as touching the election, they are beloved for fathers' sakes. the
περὶ δὲ τῆς ἀναστάσεως τῶν νεκρῶν οὐκ ἀνέγνωτε τὸ ῥηθὲν ὑμῖν ὑπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ λέγοντος
But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
שַׁדַּי לֹֽא-מְצָאנֻהוּ שַׂגִּיא-כֹחַ וּמִשְׁפָּט וְרֹב-צְדָקָה לֹא יְעַנֶּֽה׃
Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
וַיֻּגַּד לְרִבְקָה אֶת-דִּבְרֵי עֵשָׂו בְּנָהּ הַגָּדֹל וַתִּשְׁלַח וַתִּקְרָא לְיַֽעֲקֹב בְּנָהּ הַקָּטָן וַתֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו הִנֵּה עֵשָׂו אָחִיךָ מִתְנַחֵם לְךָ לְהָרְגֶֽךָ׃
And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.
