2 Peter 2:15
Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a of to things sacrificed unto to commit stumblingblock before the children Israel, eat idols, and fornication.
οὐαὶ αὐτοῖς ὅτι τῇ ὁδῷ τοῦ Κάϊν ἐπορεύθησαν καὶ τῇ πλάνῃ τοῦ Βαλαὰμ μισθοῦ ἐξεχύθησαν καὶ τῇ ἀντιλογίᾳ τοῦ Κορὲ ἀπώλοντο
Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
עַל-דְּבַר אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא-קִדְּמוּ אֶתְכֶם בַּלֶּחֶם וּבַמַּיִם בַּדֶּרֶךְ בְּצֵֽאתְכֶם מִמִּצְרָיִם וַֽאֲשֶׁר שָׂכַר עָלֶיךָ אֶת-בִּלְעָם בֶּן-בְּעוֹר מִפְּתוֹר אֲרַם נַֽהֲרַיִם לְקַֽלְלֶֽךָּ׃
Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
וַיִּשְׁלַח מַלְאָכִים אֶל-בִּלְעָם בֶּן-בְּעוֹר פְּתוֹרָה אֲשֶׁר עַל-הַנָּהָר אֶרֶץ בְּנֵֽי-עַמּוֹ לִקְרֹא-לוֹ לֵאמֹר הִנֵּה עַם יָצָא מִמִּצְרַיִם הִנֵּה כִסָּה אֶת-עֵין הָאָרֶץ וְהוּא יֹשֵׁב מִמֻּלִֽי׃
He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me:
הֵן הֵנָּה הָיוּ לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּדְבַר בִּלְעָם לִמְסָר-מַעַל בַּֽיהוָה עַל-דְּבַר-פְּעוֹר וַתְּהִי הַמַּגֵּפָה בַּֽעֲדַת יְהוָֽה׃
Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.
כִּי לֹא קִדְּמוּ אֶת-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בַּלֶּחֶם וּבַמָּיִם וַיִּשְׂכֹּר עָלָיו אֶת-בִּלְעָם לְקַֽלְלוֹ וַיַּֽהֲפֹךְ אֱלֹהֵינוּ הַקְּלָלָה לִבְרָכָֽה׃
Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing.
עַמִּי זְכָר-נָא מַה-יָּעַץ בָּלָק מֶלֶךְ מוֹאָב וּמֶה-עָנָה אֹתוֹ בִּלְעָם בֶּן-בְּעוֹר מִן-הַשִּׁטִּים עַד-הַגִּלְגָּל לְמַעַן דַּעַת צִדְקוֹת יְהוָֽה׃
O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the LORD.
עֹזְבֵי תוֹרָה יְהַֽלְלוּ רָשָׁע וְשֹׁמְרֵי תוֹרָה יִתְגָּרוּ בָֽם׃
They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
εἶπεν Ὦ πλήρης παντὸς δόλου καὶ πάσης ῥᾳδιουργίας υἱὲ διαβόλου ἐχθρὲ πάσης δικαιοσύνης οὐ παύσῃ διαστρέφων τὰς ὁδοὺς κυρίου τὰς εὐθείας
And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
Οὗτος μὲν οὖν ἐκτήσατο χωρίον ἐκ τοῦ μισθοῦ τῆς ἀδικίας καὶ πρηνὴς γενόμενος ἐλάκησεν μέσος καὶ ἐξεχύθη πάντα τὰ σπλάγχνα αὐτοῦ·
Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
κομιούμενοι μισθὸν ἀδικίας ἡδονὴν ἡγούμενοι τὴν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ τρυφήν σπίλοι καὶ μῶμοι ἐντρυφῶντες ἐν ταῖς ἀπάταις αὐτῶν συνευωχούμενοι ὑμῖν
And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they with feast you;
וַיִּפְתַּח יְהוָה אֶת-פִּי הָֽאָתוֹן וַתֹּאמֶר לְבִלְעָם מֶה-עָשִׂיתִֽי לְךָ כִּי הִכִּיתַנִי זֶה שָׁלֹשׁ רְגָלִֽים׃
And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?
וַיֹּאמֶר לֹא עָכַרְתִּי אֶת-יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי אִם-אַתָּה וּבֵית אָבִיךָ בַּֽעֲזָבְכֶם אֶת-מִצְוֹת יְהוָה וַתֵּלֶךְ אַֽחֲרֵי הַבְּעָלִֽים׃
And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.
וַתֵּרֶא הָֽאָתוֹן אֶת-מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה נִצָּב בַּדֶּרֶךְ וְחַרְבּוֹ שְׁלוּפָה בְּיָדוֹ וַתֵּט הָֽאָתוֹן מִן-הַדֶּרֶךְ וַתֵּלֶךְ בַּשָּׂדֶה וַיַּךְ בִּלְעָם אֶת-הָאָתוֹן לְהַטֹּתָהּ הַדָּֽרֶךְ׃
And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.
גַּם אָֽנֹכִי חָלִילָה לִּי מֵֽחֲטֹא לַֽיהוָה מֵֽחֲדֹל לְהִתְפַּלֵּל בַּֽעַדְכֶם וְהֽוֹרֵיתִי אֶתְכֶם בְּדֶרֶךְ הַטּוֹבָה וְהַיְשָׁרָֽה׃
Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:
וַיַּעַן בִּלְעָם וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל-עַבְדֵי בָלָק אִם-יִתֶּן-לִי בָלָק מְלֹא בֵיתוֹ כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב לֹא אוּכַל לַֽעֲבֹר אֶת-פִּי יְהוָה אֱלֹהָי לַֽעֲשׂוֹת קְטַנָּה אוֹ גְדוֹלָֽה׃
And Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more.
אֶפְרַיִם מַה-לִּי עוֹד לָֽעֲצַבִּים אֲנִי עָנִיתִי וַאֲשׁוּרֶנּוּ אֲנִי כִּבְרוֹשׁ רַֽעֲנָן מִמֶּנִּי פֶּרְיְךָ נִמְצָֽא׃
Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.
וְגַם-אֲנִי לֹא-תָחוֹס עֵינִי וְלֹא אֶחְמֹל דַּרְכָּם בְּרֹאשָׁם נָתָֽתִּי׃
And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.
וַיֹּאמֶר קַנֹּא קִנֵּאתִי לַֽיהוָה׀ אֱלֹהֵי צְבָאוֹת כִּֽי-עָזְבוּ בְרִֽיתְךָ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת-מִזְבְּחֹתֶיךָ הָרָסוּ וְאֶת-נְבִיאֶיךָ הָֽרְגוּ בֶחָרֶב וָֽאִוָּתֵר אֲנִי לְבַדִּי וַיְבַקְשׁוּ אֶת-נַפְשִׁי לְקַחְתָּֽהּ׃
And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
