But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall pass not away.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
וַאדֹנָי יְהוִה הַצְּבָאוֹת הַנּוֹגֵעַ בָּאָרֶץ וַתָּמוֹג וְאָבְלוּ כָּל-יוֹשְׁבֵי בָהּ וְעָלְתָה כַיְאֹר כֻּלָּהּ וְשָׁקְעָה כִּיאֹר מִצְרָֽיִם׃
And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
αὐτοὶ ἀπολοῦνται σὺ δὲ διαμένεις καὶ πάντες ὡς ἱμάτιον παλαιωθήσονται
They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
הָרִים כַּדּוֹנַג נָמַסּוּ מִלִּפְנֵי יְהוָה מִלִּפְנֵי אֲדוֹן כָּל-הָאָֽרֶץ׃
The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
רֹעָה הִֽתְרֹעֲעָה הָאָרֶץ פּוֹר הִֽתְפּוֹרְרָה אֶרֶץ מוֹט הִֽתְמוֹטְטָה אָֽרֶץ׃
The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
