Acts 17:1

Διοδεύσαντες δὲ τὴν Ἀμφίπολιν καὶ Ἀπολλωνίαν ἦλθον εἰς Θεσσαλονίκην ὅπου ἦν ἥ συναγωγὴ τῶν Ἰουδαίων

Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews:

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
