O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
כִּי מְנָֽאֲפִים מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ כִּֽי-מִפְּנֵי אָלָה אָבְלָה הָאָרֶץ יָבְשׁוּ נְאוֹת מִדְבָּר וַתְּהִי מְרֽוּצָתָם רָעָה וּגְבוּרָתָם לֹא-כֵֽן׃
For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.
אַף-בְּלֵב עוֹלֹת תִּפְעָלוּן בָּאָרֶץ חֲמַס יְדֵיכֶם תְּפַלֵּֽסֽוּן׃
Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
בַּלַּע אֲדֹנָי פַּלַּג לְשׁוֹנָם כִּֽי-רָאִיתִי חָמָס וְרִיב בָּעִֽיר׃
Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
