Acts 27:42

τῶν δὲ στρατιωτῶν βουλὴ ἐγένετο ἵνα τοὺς δεσμώτας ἀποκτείνωσιν μή τις ἐκκολυμβήσας διαφύγοι
And the soldiers' counsel was to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim out, and escape.
