Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
καινοὺς δὲ οὐρανοὺς καὶ γῆν καινὴν κατὰ τὸ ἐπάγγελμα αὐτοῦ προσδοκῶμεν ἐν οἷς δικαιοσύνη κατοικεῖ
Nevertheless we, according to for his promise, look new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
ἄρα οὖν οὐκέτι ἐστὲ ξένοι καὶ πάροικοι ἀλλὰ συμπολῖται τῶν ἁγίων καὶ οἰκεῖοι τοῦ θεοῦ
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
τὸ γὰρ παραυτίκα ἐλαφρὸν τῆς θλίψεως ἡμῶν καθ' ὑπερβολὴν εἰς ὑπερβολὴν αἰώνιον βάρος δόξης κατεργάζεται ἡμῖν
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
קוּמוּ וּלְכוּ כִּי לֹא-זֹאת הַמְּנוּחָה בַּעֲבוּר טָמְאָה תְּחַבֵּל וְחֶבֶל נִמְרָֽץ׃
Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.
Πίστει παρῴκησεν εἰς τὴν γῆν τῆς ἐπαγγελίας ὡς ἀλλοτρίαν ἐν σκηναῖς κατοικήσας μετὰ Ἰσαὰκ καὶ Ἰακὼβ τῶν συγκληρονόμων τῆς ἐπαγγελίας τῆς αὐτῆς·
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
τοῦτο δέ φημι ἀδελφοί ὁ καιρὸς συνεσταλμένος τὸ λοιπόν ἐστιν ἵνα καὶ οἱ ἔχοντες γυναῖκας ὡς μὴ ἔχοντες ὦσιν
But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be none; as though they had
ἄρα ἀπολείπεται σαββατισμὸς τῷ λαῷ τοῦ θεοῦ
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Πάντων δὲ τὸ τέλος ἤγγικεν σωφρονήσατε οὖν καὶ νήψατε εἰς τὰς προσευχάς·
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
