Hebrews 6:16

ἄνθρωποι μεν γὰρ κατὰ τοῦ μείζονος ὀμνύουσιν καὶ πάσης αὐτοῖς ἀντιλογίας πέρας εἰς βεβαίωσιν ὁ ὅρκος·
For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
