Hebrews 9:22

καὶ σχεδὸν ἐν αἵματι πάντα καθαρίζεται κατὰ τὸν νόμον καὶ χωρὶς αἱματεκχυσίας οὐ γίνεται ἄφεσις

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
