אָבְלָה יְהוּדָה וּשְׁעָרֶיהָ אֻמְלְלוּ קָדְרוּ לָאָרֶץ וְצִוְחַת יְרוּשָׁלִַם עָלָֽתָה׃

Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.

Lamentations 1:4

דַּרְכֵי צִיּוֹן אֲבֵלוֹת מִבְּלִי בָּאֵי מוֹעֵד כָּל-שְׁעָרֶיהָ שֽׁוֹמֵמִין כֹּהֲנֶיהָ נֶאֱנָחִים בְּתוּלֹתֶיהָ נּוּגוֹת וְהִיא מַר-לָֽהּ׃

The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.

Job 2:13

וַיֵּֽשְׁבוּ אִתּוֹ לָאָרֶץ שִׁבְעַת יָמִים וְשִׁבְעַת לֵילוֹת וְאֵין-דֹּבֵר אֵלָיו דָּבָר כִּי רָאוּ כִּֽי-גָדַל הַכְּאֵב מְאֹֽד׃

καὶ ἐδαφιοῦσίν σε καὶ τὰ τέκνα σου ἐν σοί καὶ οὐκ ἀφήσουσιν ἐν σοί λίθον ἐπὶ λίθῳ· ἀνθ ὧν οὐκ ἔγνως τὸν καιρὸν τῆς ἐπισκοπῆς σου

And shall lay even with the ground, thee and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

Ezekiel 26:16

וְֽיָרְדוּ מֵעַל כִּסְאוֹתָם כֹּל נְשִׂיאֵי הַיָּם וְהֵסִירוּ אֶת-מְעִילֵיהֶם וְאֶת-בִּגְדֵי רִקְמָתָם יִפְשֹׁטוּ חֲרָדוֹת׀ יִלְבָּשׁוּ עַל-הָאָרֶץ יֵשֵׁבוּ וְחָֽרְדוּ לִרְגָעִים וְשָׁמְמוּ עָלָֽיִךְ׃

Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished at thee.

Job 2:8

וַיִּֽקַּֽח-לוֹ חֶרֶשׂ לְהִתְגָּרֵד בּוֹ וְהוּא יֹשֵׁב בְּתוֹךְ-הָאֵֽפֶר׃

And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

Isaiah 47:1

רְדִי׀ וּשְׁבִי עַל-עָפָר בְּתוּלַת בַּת-בָּבֶל שְׁבִי-לָאָרֶץ אֵין-כִּסֵּא בַּת-כַּשְׂדִּים כִּי לֹא תוֹסִיפִי יִקְרְאוּ-לָךְ רַכָּה וַעֲנֻגָּֽה׃

Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
