Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
וּמֵעֵץ הַדַּעַת טוֹב וָרָע לֹא תֹאכַל מִמֶּנּוּ כִּי בְּיוֹם אֲכָלְךָ מִמֶּנּוּ מוֹת תָּמֽוּת׃
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
אֵין-קֹרֵא בְצֶדֶק וְאֵין נִשְׁפָּט בֶּאֱמוּנָה בָּטוֹחַ עַל-תֹּהוּ וְדַבֶּר-שָׁוְא הָרוֹ עָמָל וְהוֹלֵיד אָֽוֶן׃
None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
וַתֵּרֶא הָֽאִשָּׁה כִּי טוֹב הָעֵץ לְמַֽאֲכָל וְכִי תַֽאֲוָה-הוּא לָֽעֵינַיִם וְנֶחְמָד הָעֵץ לְהַשְׂכִּיל וַתִּקַּח מִפִּרְיוֹ וַתֹּאכַל וַתִּתֵּן גַּם-לְאִישָׁהּ עִמָּהּ וַיֹּאכַֽל׃
when the woman And saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
τίνα οὖν καρπὸν εἴχετε τότε ἐφ' οἷς νῦν ἐπαισχύνεσθε τὸ γὰρ τέλος ἐκείνων θάνατος
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
הוֹי חֹֽשְׁבֵי-אָוֶן וּפֹעֲלֵי רָע עַל-מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָם בְּאוֹר הַבֹּקֶר יַעֲשׂוּהָ כִּי יֶשׁ-לְאֵל יָדָֽם׃
Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.
Ἀνὴρ δέ τις Ἁνανίας ὀνόματι σὺν Σαπφείρῃ τῇ γυναικὶ αὐτοῦ ἐπώλησεν κτῆμα
But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
καὶ ὁ θάνατος καὶ ὁ ᾅδης ἐβλήθησαν εἰς τὴν λίμνην τοῦ πυρός οὗτος ἐστιν ὁ δεύτερός θάνατος
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
וְאֶל-קַיִן וְאֶל-מִנְחָתוֹ לֹא שָׁעָה וַיִּחַר לְקַיִן מְאֹד וַֽיִּפְּלוּ פָּנָֽיו׃
But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
וּלְאָדָם אָמַר כִּֽי-שָׁמַעְתָּ לְקוֹל אִשְׁתֶּךָ וַתֹּאכַל מִן-הָעֵץ אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִיךָ לֵאמֹר לֹא תֹאכַל מִמֶּנּוּ אֲרוּרָה הָֽאֲדָמָה בַּֽעֲבוּרֶךָ בְּעִצָּבוֹן תֹּֽאכֲלֶנָּה כֹּל יְמֵי חַיֶּֽיךָ׃
And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
יָשׁוּבוּ רְשָׁעִים לִשְׁאוֹלָה כָּל-גּוֹיִם שְׁכֵחֵי אֱלֹהִֽים׃
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Τότε πορευθεὶς εἷς τῶν δώδεκα ὁ λεγόμενος Ἰούδας Ἰσκαριώτης πρὸς τοὺς ἀρχιερεῖς
Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,
ὁ δὲ παραδιδοὺς αὐτὸν ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς σημεῖον λέγων Ὃν ἂν φιλήσω αὐτός ἐστιν κρατήσατε αὐτόν
Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.
