Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
Αἰτεῖτε καὶ δοθήσεται ὑμῖν ζητεῖτε καὶ εὑρήσετε κρούετε καὶ ἀνοιγήσεται ὑμῖν·
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
עַתָּה חָכְמָה וּמַדָּע תֶּן-לִי וְאֵֽצְאָה לִפְנֵי הָֽעָם-הַזֶּה וְאָבוֹאָה כִּֽי-מִי יִשְׁפֹּט אֶת-עַמְּךָ הַזֶּה הַגָּדֽוֹל׃
Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?
ἡ δὲ ἄνωθεν σοφία πρῶτον μὲν ἁγνή ἐστιν ἔπειτα εἰρηνική ἐπιεικής εὐπειθής μεστὴ ἐλέους καὶ καρπῶν ἀγαθῶν ἀδιάκριτος καὶ ἀνυπόκριτος
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
וְעַתָּה יְהוָה אֱלֹהָי אַתָּה הִמְלַכְתָּ אֶֽת-עַבְדְּךָ תַּחַת דָּוִד אָבִי וְאָֽנֹכִי נַעַר קָטֹן לֹא אֵדַע צֵאת וָבֹֽא׃
And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.
καὶ ὅ τι ἂν αἰτήσητε ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί μου τοῦτο ποιήσω ἵνα δοξασθῇ ὁ πατὴρ ἐν τῷ υἱῷ·
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
ἐξομολογεῖσθε ἀλλήλοις τὰ παραπτώματα καὶ εὔχεσθε ὑπὲρ ἀλλήλων ὅπως ἰαθῆτε πολὺ ἰσχύει δέησις δικαίου ἐνεργουμένη
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
אַךְ יִֽתֶּן-לְּךָ יְהוָה שֵׂכֶל וּבִינָה וִֽיצַוְּךָ עַל-יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלִשְׁמוֹר אֶת-תּוֹרַת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃
Only the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the LORD thy God.
וַֽאֲנִי הִנֵּה נָתַתִּי אִתּוֹ אֵת אָֽהֳלִיאָב בֶּן-אֲחִֽיסָמָךְ לְמַטֵּה-דָן וּבְלֵב כָּל-חֲכַם-לֵב נָתַתִּי חָכְמָה וְעָשׂוּ אֵת כָּל-אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִֽךָ׃
And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;
וְֽהַחָכְמָה מֵאַיִן תִּמָּצֵא וְאֵי זֶה מְקוֹם בִּינָֽה׃
But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?
