ᾔδει δὲ καὶ Ἰούδας ὁ παραδιδοὺς αὐτὸν τὸν τόπον ὅτι πολλάκις συνήχθη ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐκεῖ μετὰ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ
And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples.
καὶ δείπνου γενομένου τοῦ διαβόλου ἤδη βεβληκότος εἰς τὴν καρδίαν Ἰούδα Σίμωνος Ἰσκαριώτου ἵνα αὐτὸν παραδῷ
And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
וַיִּשְׁמַע אֱלִיאָב אָחִיו הַגָּדוֹל בְּדַבְּרוֹ אֶל-הָֽאֲנָשִׁים וַיִּֽחַר-אַף אֱלִיאָב בְּדָוִד וַיֹּאמֶר׀ לָמָּה-זֶּה יָרַדְתָּ וְעַל-מִי נָטַשְׁתָּ מְעַט הַצֹּאן הָהֵנָּה בַּמִּדְבָּר אֲנִי יָדַעְתִּי אֶת-זְדֹֽנְךָ וְאֵת רֹעַ לְבָבֶךָ כִּי לְמַעַן רְאוֹת הַמִּלְחָמָה יָרָֽדְתָּ׃
And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.
Ἰούδαν Ἰακώβου καὶ Ἰούδαν Ἰσκαριώτην ὃς καὶ ἐγένετο προδότης
And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.
וְרָאִיתִֽי אֲנִי אֶת-כָּל-עָמָל וְאֵת כָּל-כִּשְׁרוֹן הַֽמַּעֲשֶׂה כִּי הִיא קִנְאַת-אִישׁ מֵרֵעֵהוּ גַּם-זֶה הֶבֶל וּרְעוּת רֽוּחַ׃
Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
ἀποκρίνεται ὁ Ἰησοῦς Ἐκεῖνός ἐστιν ᾧ ἐγὼ βάψας τὸ ψωμίον ἐπιδώσω καὶ ἐμβάψας τὸ ψωμίον δίδωσιν Ἰούδᾳ Σίμωνος Ἰσκαριώτη
Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς Οὐκ ἐγὼ ὑμᾶς τοὺς δώδεκα ἐξελεξάμην καὶ ἐξ ὑμῶν εἷς διάβολός ἐστιν
Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
