For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
וְאֹרַח צַדִּיקִים כְּאוֹר נֹגַהּ הוֹלֵךְ וָאוֹר עַד-נְכוֹן הַיּֽוֹם׃
But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

וְאַתָּה שָׂנֵאתָ מוּסָר וַתַּשְׁלֵךְ דְּבָרַי אַחֲרֶֽיךָ׃
Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
שָׂנְאוּ בַשַּׁעַר מוֹכִיחַ וְדֹבֵר תָּמִים יְתָעֵֽבוּ׃
They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.
לֹא יֶאֱהַב-לֵץ הוֹכֵחַֽ לוֹ אֶל-חֲכָמִים לֹא יֵלֵֽךְ׃
A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.
וְֽאָמַרְתָּ אֵיךְ שָׂנֵאתִי מוּסָר וְתוֹכַחַת נָאַץ לִבִּֽי׃
And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
Ἀποκριθεὶς δέ τις τῶν νομικῶν λέγει αὐτῷ Διδάσκαλε ταῦτα λέγων καὶ ἡμᾶς ὑβρίζεις
Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.
