כִּֽי-מִדֵּי אֲדַבֵּר אֶזְעָק חָמָס וָשֹׁד אֶקְרָא כִּֽי-הָיָה דְבַר-יְהוָה לִי לְחֶרְפָּה וּלְקֶלֶס כָּל-הַיּֽוֹם׃
For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily.
οὐαὶ ὑμῖν τοῖς νομικοῖς ὅτι ἤρατε τὴν κλεῖδα τῆς γνώσεως· αὐτοὶ οὐκ εἰσήλθετε καὶ τοὺς εἰσερχομένους ἐκωλύσατε
Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered in not yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.
וַיֹּאמֶר מֶֽלֶךְ-יִשְׂרָאֵל׀ אֶֽל-יְהוֹשָׁפָט עוֹד אִישׁ-אֶחָד לִדְרֹשׁ אֶת-יְהוָה מֵֽאֹתוֹ וַֽאֲנִי שְׂנֵאתִיו כִּי לֹֽא-יִתְנַבֵּא עָלַי טוֹב כִּי אִם-רָע מִיכָיְהוּ בֶּן-יִמְלָה וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוֹשָׁפָט אַל-יֹאמַר הַמֶּלֶךְ כֵּֽן׃
And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
οὐ δύναται ὁ κόσμος μισεῖν ὑμᾶς ἐμὲ δὲ μισεῖ ὅτι ἐγὼ μαρτυρῶ περὶ αὐτοῦ ὅτι τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ πονηρά ἐστιν
The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
עַל-מִי אֲדַבְּרָה וְאָעִידָה וְיִשְׁמָעוּ הִנֵּה עֲרֵלָה אָזְנָם וְלֹא יוּכְלוּ לְהַקְשִׁיב הִנֵּה דְבַר-יְהוָה הָיָה לָהֶם לְחֶרְפָּה לֹא יַחְפְּצוּ-בֽוֹ׃
To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

Then Amaziah the priest of Beth-el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.
ὁ δὲ εἶπεν Καὶ ὑμῖν τοῖς νομικοῖς οὐαί ὅτι φορτίζετε τοὺς ἀνθρώπους φορτία δυσβάστακτα καὶ αὐτοὶ ἑνὶ τῶν δακτύλων ὑμῶν οὐ προσψαύετε τοῖς φορτίοις
And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.
