Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.

μᾶλλον δὲ προσετίθεντο πιστεύοντες τῷ κυρίῳ πλήθη ἀνδρῶν τε καὶ γυναικῶν
And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)
ἀλλὰ τί ἐξήλθετε ἰδεῖν ἄνθρωπον ἐν μαλακοῖς ἱματίοις ἠμφιεσμένον ἰδού οἱ τὰ μαλακὰ φοροῦντες ἐν τοῖς οἴκοις τῶν βασιλέων εἰσίν

Then they that gladly were received his word baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
וָאֶשְׁלַח אֲלֵיכֶם אֶת-כָּל-עֲבָדַי הַנְּבִיאִים הַשְׁכֵּים וְשָׁלֹחַ לֵאמֹר אַל-נָא תַעֲשׂוּ אֵת דְּבַֽר-הַתֹּעֵבָה הַזֹּאת אֲשֶׁר שָׂנֵֽאתִי׃
Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.
