Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.

And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
אַחַת׀ שָׁאַלְתִּי מֵֽאֵת-יְהוָה אוֹתָהּ אֲבַקֵּשׁ שִׁבְתִּי בְּבֵית-יְהוָה כָּל-יְמֵי חַיַּי לַחֲזוֹת בְּנֹֽעַם-יְהוָה וּלְבַקֵּר בְּהֵיכָלֽוֹ׃
One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
τότε νηστεύσαντες καὶ προσευξάμενοι καὶ ἐπιθέντες τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῖς ἀπέλυσαν
And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent away. them
εἰς ἣν τὸ δωδεκάφυλον ἡμῶν ἐν ἐκτενείᾳ νύκτα καὶ ἡμέραν λατρεῦον ἐλπίζει καταντῆσαι περὶ ἧς ἐλπίδος ἐγκαλοῦμαι βασιλεῦ Ἀγρίππα ὑπὸ τῶν Ἰουδαίων
Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
διὰ τοῦτό εἰσιν ἐνώπιον τοῦ θρόνου τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ λατρεύουσιν αὐτῷ ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτὸς ἐν τῷ ναῷ αὐτοῦ καὶ ὁ καθήμενος ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου σκηνώσει ἐπ' αὐτούς
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?

ὁ νικῶν ποιήσω αὐτὸν στῦλον ἐν τῷ ναῷ τοῦ θεοῦ μου καὶ ἔξω οὐ μὴ ἐξέλθῃ ἔτι καὶ γράψω ἐπ' αὐτὸν τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ θεοῦ μου καὶ τὸ ὄνομα τῆς πόλεως τοῦ θεοῦ μου τῆς καινῆς Ἰερουσαλήμ ἡ καταβαίνουσα ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ μου καὶ τὸ ὄνομά μου τὸ καινόν
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
אֵין-קָדוֹשׁ כַּֽיהוָה כִּי אֵין בִּלְתֶּךָ וְאֵין צוּר כֵּֽאלֹהֵֽינוּ׃
There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
