And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
Καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν ἐκείναις ταῖς ἡμέραις ἦλθεν Ἰησοῦς ἀπὸ Ναζαρὲτ τῆς Γαλιλαίας καὶ ἐβαπτίσθη ὑπὸ Ἰωάννου εἰς τὸν Ἰορδάνην
And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.
καὶ ἀπολύσας τοὺς ὄχλους ἀνέβη εἰς τὸ ὄρος κατ' ἰδίαν προσεύξασθαι ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης μόνος ἦν ἐκεῖ
And when he had sent away, the multitudes he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
Ἐγένετο δὲ μετὰ τοὺς λόγους τούτους ὡσεὶ ἡμέραι ὀκτὼ καὶ παραλαβὼν τὸν Πέτρον καὶ Ἰωάννην καὶ Ἰάκωβον ἀνέβη εἰς τὸ ὄρος προσεύξασθαι
And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
Καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ εἶναι αὐτὸν προσευχόμενον κατὰμόνας συνῆσαν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταί καὶ ἐπηρώτησεν αὐτοὺς λέγων Τίνα με λέγουσιν οἱ ὄχλοι εἶναι
And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom that say the people I am?
