And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
כַּבֵּד אֶת-יְהוָה מֵהוֹנֶךָ וּמֵרֵאשִׁית כָּל-תְּבוּאָתֶֽךָ׃
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
ἐν ᾧ γὰρ κρίματι κρίνετε κριθήσεσθε καὶ ἐν ᾧ μέτρῳ μετρεῖτε ἀντιμετρηθήσεται ὑμῖν
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured again. to you

He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.

He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
בִּרְכַּת יְהוָה הִיא תַעֲשִׁיר וְלֹֽא-יוֹסִף עֶצֶב עִמָּֽהּ׃
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
καὶ ὃς ἐὰν ποτίσῃ ἕνα τῶν μικρῶν τούτων ποτήριον ψυχροῦ μόνον εἰς ὄνομα μαθητοῦ ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν οὐ μὴ ἀπολέσῃ τὸν μισθὸν αὐτοῦ
And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
παντὶ δὲ τῷ αἰτοῦντί σε δίδου καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ αἴροντος τὰ σὰ μὴ ἀπαίτει
Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask again. them not
ἀλλ' ἐξ ἰσότητος· ἐν τῷ νῦν καιρῷ τό ὑμῶν περίσσευμα εἴς τό ἐκείνων ὑστέρημά ἵνα καὶ τὸ ἐκείνων περίσσευμα γένηται εἰς τὸ ὑμῶν ὑστέρημα ὅπως γένηται ἰσότης
But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:
שַׁלַּח לַחְמְךָ עַל-פְּנֵי הַמָּיִם כִּֽי-בְרֹב הַיָּמִים תִּמְצָאֶֽנּוּ׃
Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.
ἡ γὰρ κρίσις ἀνίλεως τῷ μὴ ποιήσαντι ἔλεος· καὶ κατακαυχᾶται ἔλεος κρίσεως
For he shall have judgment that hath without mercy, shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
אַשְׁרֵי מַשְׂכִּיל אֶל-דָּל בְּיוֹם רָעָה יְֽמַלְּטֵהוּ יְהוָֽה׃
Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
וַיָּבֹאוּ אֵלָיו כָּל-אֶחָיו וְכָל-(אחיתיו) אַחְיוֹתָיו וְכָל-יֹדְעָיו לְפָנִים וַיֹּאכְלוּ עִמּוֹ לֶחֶם בְּבֵיתוֹ וַיָּנֻדוּ לוֹ וַיְנַחֲמוּ אֹתוֹ עַל כָּל-הָרָעָה אֲשֶׁר-הֵבִיא יְהוָה עָלָיו וַיִּתְּנוּ-לוֹ אִישׁ קְשִׂיטָה אֶחָת וְאִישׁ נֶזֶם זָהָב אֶחָֽד׃
Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
οὐχ ὅτι ἐπιζητῶ τὸ δόμα ἀλλ' ἐπιζητῶ τὸν καρπὸν τὸν πλεονάζοντα εἰς λόγον ὑμῶν
Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
וְהָשֵׁב לִשְׁכֵנֵינוּ שִׁבְעָתַיִם אֶל-חֵיקָם חֶרְפָּתָם אֲשֶׁר חֵרְפוּךָ אֲדֹנָֽי׃
And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.
הִנֵּה כְתוּבָה לְפָנָי לֹא אֶחֱשֶׂה כִּי אִם-שִׁלַּמְתִּי וְשִׁלַּמְתִּי עַל-חֵיקָֽם׃
Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,
עִם-חָסִיד תִּתְחַסָּד עִם-גְּבַר תָּמִים תִּתַּמָּֽם׃
With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
כִּֽי-יָקוּם עֵד-חָמָס בְּאִישׁ לַֽעֲנוֹת בּוֹ סָרָֽה׃
If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong;
