But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
מִי חָכָם וְיָבֵֽן אֵלֶּה נָבוֹן וְיֵֽדָעֵם כִּֽי-יְשָׁרִים דַּרְכֵי יְהוָה וְצַדִּקִים יֵלְכוּ בָם וּפֹשְׁעִים יִכָּשְׁלוּ בָֽם׃
Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
לָמָּה-זֶּה מְחִיר בְּיַד-כְּסִיל לִקְנוֹת חָכְמָה וְלֶב-אָֽיִן׃
Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it?
Καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἀκούσας καὶ οἱ τελῶναι ἐδικαίωσαν τὸν θεόν βαπτισθέντες τὸ βάπτισμα Ἰωάννου·
And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.
