כִּי סְבָבוּנִי כְּלָבִים עֲדַת מְרֵעִים הִקִּיפוּנִי כָּאֲרִי יָדַי וְרַגְלָֽי׃
For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
καὶ εἱστήκει ὁ λαὸς θεωρῶν ἐξεμυκτήριζον δὲ καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες σὺν αὐτοῖς λέγοντες Ἄλλους ἔσωσεν σωσάτω ἑαυτόν εἰ οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ Χριστὸς ὁ τοῦ θεοῦ ἐκλεκτός
And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
κρεῖττον γὰρ ἀγαθοποιοῦντας εἰ θέλει τὸ θέλημα τοῦ θεοῦ πάσχειν ἢ κακοποιοῦντας
For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
συνήγαγον οὖν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ Φαρισαῖοι συνέδριον καὶ ἔλεγον Τί ποιοῦμεν ὅτι οὗτος ὁ ἄνθρωπος πολλὰ σημεῖα ποιεῖ
Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.
לָמָּה רָגְשׁוּ גוֹיִם וּלְאֻמִּים יֶהְגּוּ-רִֽיק׃
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
