For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach the gospel! not
σὺ δὲ νῆφε ἐν πᾶσιν κακοπάθησον ἔργον ποίησον εὐαγγελιστοῦ τὴν διακονίαν σου πληροφόρησον
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
וַיֵּשֶׁב יְהֽוֹשָׁפָט בִּירֽוּשָׁלִָם וַיָּשָׁב וַיֵּצֵא בָעָם מִבְּאֵר שֶׁבַע עַד-הַר אֶפְרַיִם וַיְשִׁיבֵם אֶל-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אֲבֽוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃
And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again through the people from Beer-sheba to mount Ephraim, and brought them back unto the LORD God of their fathers.
וַיַּעַשׂ כָּזֹאת יְחִזְקִיָּהוּ בְּכָל-יְהוּדָה וַיַּעַשׂ הַטּוֹב וְהַיָּשָׁר וְהָאֱמֶת לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהָֽיו׃
And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and wrought that which was good and right and truth before the LORD his God.

And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
χάριτι δὲ θεοῦ εἰμι ὅ εἰμι καὶ ἡ χάρις αὐτοῦ ἡ εἰς ἐμὲ οὐ κενὴ ἐγενήθη ἀλλὰ περισσότερον αὐτῶν πάντων ἐκοπίασα οὐκ ἐγὼ δὲ ἀλλ' ἡ χάρις τοῦ θεοῦ ἡ σὺν ἐμοί
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
וַיִּוָּעַץ דָּוִיד עִם-שָׂרֵי הָֽאֲלָפִים וְהַמֵּאוֹת לְכָל-נָגִֽיד׃
And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.
וְכִשְׁמֹעַ אָסָא הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה וְהַנְּבוּאָה עֹדֵד הַנָּבִיא הִתְחַזַּק וַיַּֽעֲבֵר הַשִּׁקּוּצִים מִכָּל-אֶרֶץ יְהוּדָה וּבִנְיָמִן וּמִן-הֶעָרִים אֲשֶׁר לָכַד מֵהַר אֶפְרָיִם וַיְחַדֵּשׁ אֶת-מִזְבַּח יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר לִפְנֵי אוּלָם יְהוָֽה׃
And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.
