καὶ ἔλεγον Χαῖρε ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων· καὶ ἐδίδουν αὐτῷ ῥαπίσματα
And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.
καὶ πλέξαντες στέφανον ἐξ ἀκανθῶν ἐπέθηκαν ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ κάλαμον ἐπὶ τὴν δεξιὰν αὐτοῦ καὶ γονυπετήσαντες ἔμπροσθεν αὐτοῦ ἐνέπαιζον αὐτῷ λέγοντες Χαῖρε ὁ βασιλεῦς τῶν Ἰουδαίων
And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
καὶ ἐλθὼν εὐθὲως προσελθὼν αὐτῷ λέγει Ῥαββί Ῥαββί καὶ κατεφίλησεν αὐτόν·
And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.
וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו יִצְחָק אָבִיו גְּשָׁה-נָּא וּשְׁקָה-לִּי בְּנִֽי׃
And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.
καὶ ἤρξαντο ἀσπάζεσθαι αὐτόν Χαῖρε βασιλεῦ τῶν Ἰουδαίων·
And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!
וַיִּקַּח שְׁמוּאֵל אֶת-פַּךְ הַשֶּׁמֶן וַיִּצֹק עַל-רֹאשׁוֹ וַיִּשָּׁקֵהוּ וַיֹּאמֶר הֲלוֹא כִּֽי-מְשָׁחֲךָ יְהוָה עַל-נַֽחֲלָתוֹ לְנָגִֽיד׃
Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?
φίλημά μοι οὐκ ἔδωκας· αὕτη δὲ ἀφ' ἧς εἰσῆλθον οὐ διέλιπεν καταφιλοῦσά μου τοὺς πόδας
Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
נֶאֱמָנִים פִּצְעֵי אוֹהֵב וְנַעְתָּרוֹת נְשִׁיקוֹת שׂוֹנֵֽא׃
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
