Let us follow therefore after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

ἕκαστος γάρ ἡμῶν τῷ πλησίον ἀρεσκέτω εἰς τὸ ἀγαθὸν πρὸς οἰκοδομήν·
Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
Εἰρήνην διώκετε μετὰ πάντων καὶ τὸν ἁγιασμόν οὗ χωρὶς οὐδεὶς ὄψεται τὸν κύριον
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Διὸ παρακαλεῖτε ἀλλήλους καὶ οἰκοδομεῖτε εἷς τὸν ἕνα καθὼς καὶ ποιεῖτε
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
Λοιπόν ἀδελφοί χαίρετε καταρτίζεσθε παρακαλεῖσθε τὸ αὐτὸ φρονεῖτε εἰρηνεύετε καὶ ὁ θεὸς τῆς ἀγάπης καὶ εἰρήνης ἔσται μεθ' ὑμῶν
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
Ἐνδύσασθε οὖν ὡς ἐκλεκτοὶ τοῦ θεοῦ ἅγιοι καὶ ἠγαπημένοι σπλάγχνα οἰκτιρμῶν χρηστότητα ταπεινοφροσύνην πρᾳότητα μακροθυμίαν
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Μακάριοι οἱ εἰρηνοποιοί· ὅτι αὐτοὶ υἱοὶ θεοῦ κληθήσονται
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Καλὸν τὸ ἅλας· ἐὰν δὲ τὸ ἅλας ἄναλον γένηται ἐν τίνι αὐτὸ ἀρτύσετε ἔχετε ἐν ἑαυτοῖς ἅλας· καὶ εἰρηνεύετε ἐν ἀλλήλοις
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
Εἴ τις οὖν παράκλησις ἐν Χριστῷ εἴ τι παραμύθιον ἀγάπης εἴ τις κοινωνία πνεύματος εἴ τινα σπλάγχνα καὶ οἰκτιρμοί
If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
Τίς σοφὸς καὶ ἐπιστήμων ἐν ὑμῖν δειξάτω ἐκ τῆς καλῆς ἀναστροφῆς τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ ἐν πρᾳΰτητι σοφίας
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
ἐκκλινάτω ἀπὸ κακοῦ καὶ ποιησάτω ἀγαθόν ζητησάτω εἰρήνην καὶ διωξάτω αὐτήν·
Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
Τί οὖν ἐστιν ἀδελφοί ὅταν συνέρχησθε ἕκαστος ὑμῶν ψαλμὸν ἔχει διδαχὴν ἔχει γλῶσσαν ἔχει ἀποκάλυψιν ἔχει ἑρμηνείαν ἔχει· πάντα πρὸς οἰκοδομὴν γενέσθω
How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
οὕτως καὶ ὑμεῖς ἐπεὶ ζηλωταί ἐστε πνευμάτων πρὸς τὴν οἰκοδομὴν τῆς ἐκκλησίας ζητεῖτε ἵνα περισσεύητε
Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
σπουδάζοντες τηρεῖν τὴν ἑνότητα τοῦ πνεύματος ἐν τῷ συνδέσμῳ τῆς εἰρήνης·
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
הִנֵּה מַה-טּוֹב וּמַה-נָּעִים שֶׁבֶת אַחִים גַּם-יָֽחַד׃
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
καθὼς κἀγὼ πάντα πᾶσιν ἀρέσκω μὴ ζητῶν τὸ ἐμαυτοῦ σύμφερον ἀλλὰ τὸ τῶν πολλῶν ἵνα σωθῶσιν
Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
μηδὲ προσέχειν μύθοις καὶ γενεαλογίαις ἀπεράντοις αἵτινες ζητήσεις παρέχουσιν μᾶλλον ἢ οἰκονομίαν θεοῦ τὴν ἐν πίστει
Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
Πάλιν δοκεῖτε ὅτι ὑμῖν ἀπολογούμεθα κατένωπιον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν Χριστῷ λαλοῦμεν· τὰ δὲ πάντα ἀγαπητοί ὑπὲρ τῆς ὑμῶν οἰκοδομῆς
Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.
