וִיהִי׀ נֹעַם אֲדֹנָי אֱלֹהֵינוּ עָלֵינוּ וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֵינוּ כּוֹנְנָה עָלֵינוּ וּֽמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֵינוּ כּוֹנְנֵֽהוּ׃
And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
כִּי שִׂמַּחְתַּנִי יְהוָה בְּפָעֳלֶךָ בְּֽמַעֲשֵׂי יָדֶיךָ אֲרַנֵּֽן׃
For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
אֲשֶׁר בְּיָדוֹ מֶחְקְרֵי-אָרֶץ וְתוֹעֲפֹת הָרִים לֽוֹ׃
In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
אֲשֶׁר-לוֹ הַיָּם וְהוּא עָשָׂהוּ וְיַבֶּשֶׁת יָדָיו יָצָֽרוּ׃
The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
כִּי הוּא אֱלֹהֵינוּ וַאֲנַחְנוּ עַם מַרְעִיתוֹ וְצֹאן יָדוֹ הַיּוֹם אִֽם-בְּקֹלוֹ תִשְׁמָֽעוּ׃
For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,
אֹהֲבֵי יְהוָה שִׂנְאוּ רָע שֹׁמֵר נַפְשׁוֹת חֲסִידָיו מִיַּד רְשָׁעִים יַצִּילֵֽם׃
Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
לְפָנִים הָאָרֶץ יָסַדְתָּ וּֽמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֶיךָ שָׁמָֽיִם׃
Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
זֶה׀ הַיָּם גָּדוֹל וּרְחַב יָדָיִם שָֽׁם-רֶמֶשׂ וְאֵין מִסְפָּר חַיּוֹת קְטַנּוֹת עִם-גְּדֹלֽוֹת׃
So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.
תִּתֵּן לָהֶם יִלְקֹטוּן תִּפְתַּח יָֽדְךָ יִשְׂבְּעוּן טֽוֹב׃
That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.
וַֽיּוֹשִׁיעֵם מִיַּד שׂוֹנֵא וַיִּגְאָלֵם מִיַּד אוֹיֵֽב׃
And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
וַיִּשָּׂא יָדוֹ לָהֶם לְהַפִּיל אוֹתָם בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃
Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:
וַיִּתְּנֵם בְּיַד-גּוֹיִם וַֽיִּמְשְׁלוּ בָהֶם שֹׂנְאֵיהֶֽם׃
And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.
וַיִּלְחָצוּם אוֹיְבֵיהֶם וַיִּכָּנְעוּ תַּחַת יָדָֽם׃
Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
יֹאמְרוּ גְּאוּלֵי יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר גְּאָלָם מִיַּד-צָֽר׃
Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
וְֽיֵדְעוּ כִּי-יָדְךָ זֹּאת אַתָּה יְהוָה עֲשִׂיתָֽהּ׃
That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.
מַעֲשֵׂי יָדָיו אֱמֶת וּמִשְׁפָּט נֶאֱמָנִים כָּל-פִּקּוּדָֽיו׃
The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.
עֲֽצַבֵּיהֶם כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי אָדָֽם׃
Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
יְדֵיהֶם׀ וְלֹא יְמִישׁוּן רַגְלֵיהֶם וְלֹא יְהַלֵּכוּ לֹֽא-יֶהְגּוּ בִּגְרוֹנָֽם׃
They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
יָדֶיךָ עָשׂוּנִי וַֽיְכוֹנְנוּנִי הֲבִינֵנִי וְאֶלְמְדָה מִצְוֹתֶֽיךָ׃
Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
תְּהִֽי-יָדְךָ לְעָזְרֵנִי כִּי פִקּוּדֶיךָ בָחָֽרְתִּי׃
Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.
יְהוָה שֹׁמְרֶךָ יְהוָה צִלְּךָ עַל-יַד יְמִינֶֽךָ׃
The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
הִנֵּה כְעֵינֵי עֲבָדִים אֶל-יַד אֲֽדוֹנֵיהֶם כְּעֵינֵי שִׁפְחָה אֶל-יַד גְּבִרְתָּהּ כֵּן עֵינֵינוּ אֶל-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ עַד שֶׁיְּחָנֵּֽנוּ׃
Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
כִּי לֹא יָנוּחַ שֵׁבֶט הָרֶשַׁע עַל גּוֹרַל הַֽצַּדִּיקִים לְמַעַן לֹא-יִשְׁלְחוּ הַצַּדִּיקִים בְּעַוְלָתָה יְדֵיהֶֽם׃
For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
כְּחִצִּים בְּיַד-גִּבּוֹר כֵּן בְּנֵי הַנְּעוּרִֽים׃
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
שְׂאֽוּ-יְדֵכֶם קֹדֶשׁ וּבָרֲכוּ אֶת-יְהוָֽה׃
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.
עֲצַבֵּי הַגּוֹיִם כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי אָדָֽם׃
The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
בְּיָד חֲזָקָה וּבִזְרוֹעַ נְטוּיָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃
With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever.
אִם-אֵלֵךְ׀ בְּקֶרֶב צָרָה תְּחַיֵּנִי עַל אַף אֹיְבַי תִּשְׁלַח יָדֶךָ וְתוֹשִׁיעֵנִי יְמִינֶֽךָ׃
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
יְהוָה יִגְמֹר בַּעֲדִי יְהוָה חַסְדְּךָ לְעוֹלָם מַעֲשֵׂי יָדֶיךָ אַל-תֶּֽרֶף׃
The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
גַּם-שָׁם יָדְךָ תַנְחֵנִי וְֽתֹאחֲזֵנִי יְמִינֶֽךָ׃
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
שָׁמְרֵנִי יְהוָה׀ מִידֵי רָשָׁע מֵאִישׁ חֲמָסִים תִּנְצְרֵנִי אֲשֶׁר חָשְׁבוּ לִדְחוֹת פְּעָמָֽי׃
Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
טָֽמְנֽוּ-גֵאִים׀ פַּח לִי וַחֲבָלִים פָּרְשׂוּ רֶשֶׁת לְיַד-מַעְגָּל מֹקְשִׁים שָֽׁתוּ-לִי סֶֽלָה׃
The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.
נִשְׁמְטוּ בִֽידֵי-סֶלַע שֹׁפְטֵיהֶם וְשָׁמְעוּ אֲמָרַי כִּי נָעֵֽמוּ׃
When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.
שָׁמְרֵנִי מִידֵי פַח יָקְשׁוּ לִי וּמֹקְשׁוֹת פֹּעֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃
Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.
זָכַרְתִּי יָמִים׀ מִקֶּדֶם הָגִיתִי בְכָל-פָּעֳלֶךָ בְּֽמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֶיךָ אֲשׂוֹחֵֽחַ׃
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.
פֵּרַשְׂתִּי יָדַי אֵלֶיךָ נַפְשִׁי׀ כְּאֶֽרֶץ-עֲיֵפָה לְךָ סֶֽלָה׃
I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
בָּרוּךְ יְהוָה׀ צוּרִי הַֽמְלַמֵּד יָדַי לַקְרָב אֶצְבְּעוֹתַי לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃
Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
שְׁלַח יָדֶיךָ מִמָּרוֹם פְּצֵנִי וְהַצִּילֵנִי מִמַּיִם רַבִּים מִיַּד בְּנֵי נֵכָֽר׃
Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;
פְּצֵנִי וְהַצִּילֵנִי מִיַּד בְּֽנֵי-נֵכָר אֲשֶׁר פִּיהֶם דִּבֶּר-שָׁוְא וִֽימִינָם יְמִין שָֽׁקֶר׃
Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:
פּוֹתֵחַ אֶת-יָדֶךָ וּמַשְׂבִּיעַ לְכָל-חַי רָצֽוֹן׃
Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
רוֹמְמוֹת אֵל בִּגְרוֹנָם וְחֶרֶב פִּֽיפִיּוֹת בְּיָדָֽם׃
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;
יַעַן קָרָאתִי וַתְּמָאֵנוּ נָטִיתִי יָדִי וְאֵין מַקְשִֽׁיב׃
Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
אַל-תִּמְנַע-טוֹב מִבְּעָלָיו בִּהְיוֹת לְאֵל (ידיך) יָדְךָ לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
הִנָּצֵל כִּצְבִי מִיָּד וּכְצִפּוֹר מִיַּד יָקֽוּשׁ׃
Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.
מְעַט שֵׁנוֹת מְעַט תְּנוּמוֹת מְעַט׀ חִבֻּק יָדַיִם לִשְׁכָּֽב׃
Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
עֵינַיִם רָמוֹת לְשׁוֹן שָׁקֶר וְיָדַיִם שֹׁפְכוֹת דָּם-נָקִֽי׃
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
צְֽרוֹר-הַכֶּסֶף לָקַח בְּיָדוֹ לְיוֹם הַכֵּסֶא יָבֹא בֵיתֽוֹ׃
He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.
לְיַד-שְׁעָרִים לְפִי-קָרֶת מְבוֹא פְתָחִים תָּרֹֽנָּה׃
She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
רָאשׁ עֹשֶׂה כַף-רְמִיָּה וְיַד חָרוּצִים תַּעֲשִֽׁיר׃
He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
יָד לְיָד לֹא-יִנָּקֶה רָּע וְזֶרַע צַדִּיקִים נִמְלָֽט׃
Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
מִפְּרִי פִי-אִישׁ יִשְׂבַּע-טוֹב וּגְמוּל יְדֵי-אָדָם (ישוב) יָשִׁיב לֽוֹ׃
A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.
יַד-חָרוּצִים תִּמְשׁוֹל וּרְמִיָּה תִּהְיֶה לָמַֽס׃
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
הוֹן מֵהֶבֶל יִמְעָט וְקֹבֵץ עַל-יָד יַרְבֶּֽה׃
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.
חַכְמוֹת נָשִׁים בָּנְתָה בֵיתָהּ וְאִוֶּלֶת בְּיָדֶיהָ תֶהֶרְסֶֽנּוּ׃
Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
תּוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה כָּל-גְּבַהּ-לֵב יָד לְיָד לֹא יִנָּקֶֽה׃
Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
לָמָּה-זֶּה מְחִיר בְּיַד-כְּסִיל לִקְנוֹת חָכְמָה וְלֶב-אָֽיִן׃
Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it?
מָוֶת וְחַיִּים בְּיַד-לָשׁוֹן וְאֹהֲבֶיהָ יֹאכַל פִּרְיָֽהּ׃
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
טָמַן עָצֵל יָדוֹ בַּצַּלָּחַת גַּם-אֶל-פִּיהוּ לֹא יְשִׁיבֶֽנָּה׃
A slothful man hideth his hand in his bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.
פַּלְגֵי-מַיִם לֶב-מֶלֶךְ בְּיַד-יְהוָה עַֽל-כָּל-אֲשֶׁר יַחְפֹּץ יַטֶּֽנּוּ׃
The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
תַּאֲוַת עָצֵל תְּמִיתֶנּוּ כִּֽי-מֵאֲנוּ יָדָיו לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃
The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
מְעַט שֵׁנוֹת מְעַט תְּנוּמוֹת מְעַט׀ חִבֻּק יָדַיִם לִשְׁכָּֽב׃
Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
מְקַצֶּה רַגְלַיִם חָמָס שֹׁתֶה שֹׁלֵחַ דְּבָרִים בְּיַד-כְּסִֽיל׃
He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, and drinketh damage.
חוֹחַ עָלָה בְיַד-שִׁכּוֹר וּמָשָׁל בְּפִי כְסִילִֽים׃
As a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouth of fools.
טָמַן עָצֵל יָדוֹ בַּצַּלָּחַת נִלְאָה לַֽהֲשִׁיבָהּ אֶל-פִּֽיו׃
The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth.
שְׂמָמִית בְּיָדַיִם תְּתַפֵּשׂ וְהִיא בְּהֵיכְלֵי מֶֽלֶךְ׃
The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces.
אִם-נָבַלְתָּ בְהִתְנַשֵּׂא וְאִם-זַמּוֹתָ יָד לְפֶֽה׃
If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.
יָדֶיהָ שִׁלְּחָה בַכִּישׁוֹר וְכַפֶּיהָ תָּמְכוּ פָֽלֶךְ׃
She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
כַּפָּהּ פָּרְשָׂה לֶעָנִי וְיָדֶיהָ שִׁלְּחָה לָֽאֶבְיֽוֹן׃
She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
תְּנוּ-לָהּ מִפְּרִי יָדֶיהָ וִֽיהַלְלוּהָ בַשְּׁעָרִים מַעֲשֶֽׂיהָ׃
Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
וּפָנִיתִֽי אֲנִי בְּכָל-מַעֲשַׂי שֶֽׁעָשׂוּ יָדַי וּבֶֽעָמָל שֶׁעָמַלְתִּי לַעֲשׂוֹת וְהִנֵּה הַכֹּל הֶבֶל וּרְעוּת רוּחַ וְאֵין יִתְרוֹן תַּחַת הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃
Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.
אֵֽין-טוֹב בָּאָדָם שֶׁיֹּאכַל וְשָׁתָה וְהֶרְאָה אֶת-נַפְשׁוֹ טוֹב בַּעֲמָלוֹ גַּם-זֹה רָאִיתִי אָנִי כִּי מִיַּד הָאֱלֹהִים הִֽיא׃
There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.
וְשַׁבְתִּֽי אֲנִי וָאֶרְאֶה אֶת-כָּל-הָעֲשֻׁקִים אֲשֶׁר נַעֲשִׂים תַּחַת הַשָּׁמֶשׁ וְהִנֵּה׀ דִּמְעַת הָעֲשֻׁקִים וְאֵין לָהֶם מְנַחֵם וּמִיַּד עֹֽשְׁקֵיהֶם כֹּחַ וְאֵין לָהֶם מְנַחֵֽם׃
So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.
הַכְּסִיל חֹבֵק אֶת-יָדָיו וְאֹכֵל אֶת-בְּשָׂרֽוֹ׃
The fool foldeth together, his hands and eateth his own flesh.
אַל-תִּתֵּן אֶת-פִּיךָ לַחֲטִיא אֶת-בְּשָׂרֶךָ וְאַל-תֹּאמַר לִפְנֵי הַמַּלְאָךְ כִּי שְׁגָגָה הִיא לָמָּה יִקְצֹף הָֽאֱלֹהִים עַל-קוֹלֶךָ וְחִבֵּל אֶת-מַעֲשֵׂה יָדֶֽיךָ׃
Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?
וְאָבַד הָעֹשֶׁר הַהוּא בְּעִנְיַן רָע וְהוֹלִיד בֵּן וְאֵין בְּיָדוֹ מְאֽוּמָה׃
But those riches perish by evil travail: and he begetteth a son, and there is nothing in his hand.
כַּאֲשֶׁר יָצָא מִבֶּטֶן אִמּוֹ עָרוֹם יָשׁוּב לָלֶכֶת כְּשֶׁבָּא וּמְאוּמָה לֹא-יִשָּׂא בַעֲמָלוֹ שֶׁיֹּלֵךְ בְּיָדֽוֹ׃
As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.
טוֹב אֲשֶׁר תֶּאֱחֹז בָּזֶה וְגַם-מִזֶּה אַל-תַּנַּח אֶת-יָדֶךָ כִּֽי-יְרֵא אֱלֹהִים יֵצֵא אֶת-כֻּלָּֽם׃
It is good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all.
וּמוֹצֶא אֲנִי מַר מִמָּוֶת אֶת-הָֽאִשָּׁה אֲשֶׁר-הִיא מְצוֹדִים וַחֲרָמִים לִבָּהּ אֲסוּרִים יָדֶיהָ טוֹב לִפְנֵי הָאֱלֹהִים יִמָּלֵט מִמֶּנָּה וְחוֹטֵא יִלָּכֶד בָּֽהּ׃
And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.
כִּי אֶת-כָּל-זֶה נָתַתִּי אֶל-לִבִּי וְלָבוּר אֶת-כָּל-זֶה אֲשֶׁר הַצַּדִּיקִים וְהַחֲכָמִים וַעֲבָדֵיהֶם בְּיַד הָאֱלֹהִים גַּֽם-אַהֲבָה גַם-שִׂנְאָה אֵין יוֹדֵעַ הָֽאָדָם הַכֹּל לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃
For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.
כֹּל אֲשֶׁר תִּמְצָא יָֽדְךָ לַעֲשׂוֹת בְּכֹחֲךָ עֲשֵׂה כִּי אֵין מַעֲשֶׂה וְחֶשְׁבּוֹן וְדַעַת וְחָכְמָה בִּשְׁאוֹל אֲשֶׁר אַתָּה הֹלֵךְ שָֽׁמָּה׃
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
בַּעֲצַלְתַּיִם יִמַּךְ הַמְּקָרֶה וּבְשִׁפְלוּת יָדַיִם יִדְלֹף הַבָּֽיִת׃
By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.
בַּבֹּקֶר זְרַע אֶת-זַרְעֶךָ וְלָעֶרֶב אַל-תַּנַּח יָדֶךָ כִּי אֵֽינְךָ יוֹדֵע אֵי זֶה יִכְשָׁר הֲזֶה אוֹ-זֶה וְאִם-שְׁנֵיהֶם כְּאֶחָד טוֹבִֽים׃
In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
דּוֹדִי שָׁלַח יָדוֹ מִן-הַחֹר וּמֵעַי הָמוּ עָלָֽיו׃
My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him.
קַמְתִּֽי אֲנִי לִפְתֹּחַ לְדוֹדִי וְיָדַי נָֽטְפוּ-מוֹר וְאֶצְבְּעֹתַי מוֹר עֹבֵר עַל כַּפּוֹת הַמַּנְעֽוּל׃
I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock.
יָדָיו גְּלִילֵי זָהָב מְמֻלָּאִים בַּתַּרְשִׁישׁ מֵעָיו עֶשֶׁת שֵׁן מְעֻלֶּפֶת סַפִּירִֽים׃
His hands are as gold rings set with the beryl: his belly is as bright ivory overlaid with sapphires.
מַה-יָּפוּ פְעָמַיִךְ בַּנְּעָלִים בַּת-נָדִיב חַמּוּקֵי יְרֵכַיִךְ כְּמוֹ חֲלָאִים מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי אָמָּֽן׃
How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman.
כִּי תָבֹאוּ לֵרָאוֹת פָּנָי מִי-בִקֵּשׁ זֹאת מִיֶּדְכֶם רְמֹס חֲצֵרָֽי׃
When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
וּבְפָרִשְׂכֶם כַּפֵּיכֶם אַעְלִים עֵינַי מִכֶּם גַּם כִּֽי-תַרְבּוּ תְפִלָּה אֵינֶנִּי שֹׁמֵעַ יְדֵיכֶם דָּמִים מָלֵֽאוּ׃
And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
וְאָשִׁיבָה יָדִי עָלַיִךְ וְאֶצְרֹף כַּבֹּר סִיגָיִךְ וְאָסִירָה כָּל-בְּדִילָֽיִךְ׃
And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
וַתִּמָּלֵא אַרְצוֹ אֱלִילִים לְמַעֲשֵׂה יָדָיו יִֽשְׁתַּחֲווּ לַאֲשֶׁר עָשׂוּ אֶצְבְּעֹתָֽיו׃
Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
כִּֽי-יִתְפֹּשׂ אִישׁ בְּאָחִיו בֵּית אָבִיו שִׂמְלָה לְכָה קָצִין תִּֽהְיֶה-לָּנוּ וְהַמַּכְשֵׁלָה הַזֹּאת תַּחַת יָדֶֽךָ׃
When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:
אוֹי לְרָשָׁע רָע כִּֽי-גְמוּל יָדָיו יֵעָשֶׂה לּֽוֹ׃
Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
וְהָיָה כִנּוֹר וָנֶבֶל תֹּף וְחָלִיל וָיַיִן מִשְׁתֵּיהֶם וְאֵת פֹּעַל יְהוָה לֹא יַבִּיטוּ וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדָיו לֹא רָאֽוּ׃
And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands.
עַל-כֵּן חָרָה אַף-יְהוָה בְּעַמּוֹ וַיֵּט יָדוֹ עָלָיו וַיַּכֵּהוּ וַֽיִּרְגְּזוּ הֶֽהָרִים וַתְּהִי נִבְלָתָם כַּסּוּחָה בְּקֶרֶב חוּצוֹת בְּכָל-זֹאת לֹא-שָׁב אַפּוֹ וְעוֹד יָדוֹ נְטוּיָֽה׃
Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
וַיָּעָף אֵלַי אֶחָד מִן-הַשְּׂרָפִים וּבְיָדוֹ רִצְפָּה בְּמֶלְקַחַיִם לָקַח מֵעַל הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃
Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
כִּי כֹה אָמַר יְהוָה אֵלַי כְּחֶזְקַת הַיָּד וְיִסְּרֵנִי מִלֶּכֶת בְּדֶרֶךְ הָֽעָם-הַזֶּה לֵאמֹֽר׃
For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,
אֲרָם מִקֶּדֶם וּפְלִשְׁתִּים מֵֽאָחוֹר וַיֹּאכְלוּ אֶת-יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּכָל-פֶּה בְּכָל-זֹאת לֹא-שָׁב אַפּוֹ וְעוֹד יָדוֹ נְטוּיָֽה׃
The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
עַל-כֵּן עַל-בַּחוּרָיו לֹֽא-יִשְׂמַח׀ אֲדֹנָי וְאֶת-יְתֹמָיו וְאֶת-אַלְמְנוֹתָיו לֹא יְרַחֵם כִּי כֻלּוֹ חָנֵף וּמֵרַע וְכָל-פֶּה דֹּבֵר נְבָלָה בְּכָל-זֹאת לֹא-שָׁב אַפּוֹ וְעוֹד יָדוֹ נְטוּיָֽה׃
Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
מְנַשֶּׁה אֶת-אֶפְרַיִם וְאֶפְרַיִם אֶת-מְנַשֶּׁה יַחְדָּו הֵמָּה עַל-יְהוּדָה בְּכָל-זֹאת לֹא-שָׁב אַפּוֹ וְעוֹד יָדוֹ נְטוּיָֽה׃
Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
בִּלְתִּי כָרַע תַּחַת אַסִּיר וְתַחַת הֲרוּגִים יִפֹּלוּ בְּכָל-זֹאת לֹא-שָׁב אַפּוֹ וְעוֹד יָדוֹ נְטוּיָֽה׃
Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
