וְיַיִן לַנֶּסֶךְ רְבִיעִית הַהִין תַּֽעֲשֶׂה עַל-הָֽעֹלָה אוֹ לַזָּבַח לַכֶּבֶשׂ הָֽאֶחָֽד׃
And the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering shalt thou prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb.
וְכִֽי-תַעֲשֶׂה בֶן-בָּקָר עֹלָה אוֹ-זָבַח לְפַלֵּא-נֶדֶר אֽוֹ-שְׁלָמִים לַֽיהוָֽה׃
And when thou preparest a bullock for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice in performing a vow, or peace offerings unto the LORD:
וְהָיָה אִם מֵֽעֵינֵי הָֽעֵדָה נֶֽעֶשְׂתָה לִשְׁגָגָה וְעָשׂוּ כָל-הָֽעֵדָה פַּר בֶּן-בָּקָר אֶחָד לְעֹלָה לְרֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַֽיהוָה וּמִנְחָתוֹ וְנִסְכּוֹ כַּמִּשְׁפָּט וּשְׂעִיר-עִזִּים אֶחָד לְחַטָּֽת׃
Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the LORD, with his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.
וַיֹּאמֶר בִּלְעָם לְבָלָק הִתְיַצֵּב עַל-עֹֽלָתֶךָ וְאֵֽלְכָה אוּלַי יִקָּרֵה יְהוָה לִקְרָאתִי וּדְבַר מַה-יַּרְאֵנִי וְהִגַּדְתִּי לָךְ וַיֵּלֶךְ שֶֽׁפִי׃
And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.
וַיָּשָׁב אֵלָיו וְהִנֵּה נִצָּב עַל-עֹֽלָתוֹ הוּא וְכָל-שָׂרֵי מוֹאָֽב׃
And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.
וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל-בָּלָק הִתְיַצֵּב כֹּה עַל-עֹֽלָתֶךָ וְאָֽנֹכִי אִקָּרֶה כֹּֽה׃
And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the Lord yonder.
וַיָּבֹא אֵלָיו וְהִנּוֹ נִצָּב עַל-עֹלָתוֹ וְשָׂרֵי מוֹאָב אִתּוֹ וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ בָּלָק מַה-דִּבֶּר יְהוָֽה׃
And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?
וְאָֽמַרְתָּ לָהֶם זֶה הָֽאִשֶּׁה אֲשֶׁר תַּקְרִיבוּ לַֽיהוָה כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה תְמִימִם שְׁנַיִם לַיּוֹם עֹלָה תָמִֽיד׃
And thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering.
עֹלַת תָּמִיד הָֽעֲשֻׂיָה בְּהַר סִינַי לְרֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ אִשֶּׁה לַֽיהוָֽה׃
It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.
עֹלַת שַׁבַּת בְּשַׁבַּתּוֹ עַל-עֹלַת הַתָּמִיד וְנִסְכָּֽהּ׃
This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.
וּבְרָאשֵׁי חָדְשֵׁיכֶם תַּקְרִיבוּ עֹלָה לַֽיהוָה פָּרִים בְּנֵֽי-בָקָר שְׁנַיִם וְאַיִל אֶחָד כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה שִׁבְעָה תְּמִימִֽם׃
And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot;
וְעִשָּׂרֹן עִשָּׂרוֹן סֹלֶת מִנְחָה בְּלוּלָה בַשֶּׁמֶן לַכֶּבֶשׂ הָֽאֶחָד עֹלָה רֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ אִשֶּׁה לַֽיהוָֽה׃
And a several tenth deal of flour mingled with oil for a meat offering unto one lamb; for a burnt offering of a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.
וְנִסְכֵּיהֶם חֲצִי הַהִין יִֽהְיֶה לַפָּר וּשְׁלִישִׁת הַהִין לָאַיִל וּרְבִיעִת הַהִין לַכֶּבֶשׂ יָיִן זֹאת עֹלַת חֹדֶשׁ בְּחָדְשׁוֹ לְחָדְשֵׁי הַשָּׁנָֽה׃
And their drink offerings shall be half an hin of wine unto a bullock, and the third part of an hin unto a ram, and a fourth part of an hin unto a lamb: this is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year.
וּשְׂעִיר עִזִּים אֶחָד לְחַטָּאת לַֽיהוָה עַל-עֹלַת הַתָּמִיד יֵֽעָשֶׂה וְנִסְכּֽוֹ׃
And one kid of the goats for a sin offering unto the LORD shall be offered, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.
וְהִקְרַבְתֶּם אִשֶּׁה עֹלָה לַֽיהוָה פָּרִים בְּנֵֽי-בָקָר שְׁנַיִם וְאַיִל אֶחָד וְשִׁבְעָה כְבָשִׂים בְּנֵי שָׁנָה תְּמִימִם יִֽהְיוּ לָכֶֽם׃
But ye shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: they shall be unto you without blemish:
מִלְּבַד עֹלַת הַבֹּקֶר אֲשֶׁר לְעֹלַת הַתָּמִיד תַּֽעֲשׂוּ אֶת-אֵֽלֶּה׃
Ye shall offer these beside the burnt offering in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering.
כָּאֵלֶּה תַּֽעֲשׂוּ לַיּוֹם שִׁבְעַת יָמִים לֶחֶם אִשֵּׁה רֵֽיחַ-נִיחֹחַ לַֽיהוָה עַל-עוֹלַת הַתָּמִיד יֵֽעָשֶׂה וְנִסְכּֽוֹ׃
After this manner ye shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: it shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.
וְהִקְרַבְתֶּם עוֹלָה לְרֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַֽיהוָה פָּרִים בְּנֵֽי-בָקָר שְׁנַיִם אַיִל אֶחָד שִׁבְעָה כְבָשִׂים בְּנֵי שָׁנָֽה׃
But ye shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year;
מִלְּבַד עֹלַת הַתָּמִיד וּמִנְחָתוֹ תַּֽעֲשׂוּ תְּמִימִם יִֽהְיוּ-לָכֶם וְנִסְכֵּיהֶֽם׃
Ye shall offer them beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, (they shall be unto you without blemish) and their drink offerings.
וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶם עֹלָה לְרֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַֽיהוָה פַּר בֶּן-בָּקָר אֶחָד אַיִל אֶחָד כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה שִׁבְעָה תְּמִימִֽם׃

Beside the burnt offering of the month, and his meat offering, and the daily burnt offering, and his meat offering, and their drink offerings, according unto their manner, for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.
וְהִקְרַבְתֶּם עֹלָה לַֽיהוָה רֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ פַּר בֶּן-בָּקָר אֶחָד אַיִל אֶחָד כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה שִׁבְעָה תְּמִימִם יִֽהְיוּ לָכֶֽם׃

שְׂעִיר-עִזִּים אֶחָד חַטָּאת מִלְּבַד חַטַּאת הַכִּפֻּרִים וְעֹלַת הַתָּמִיד וּמִנְחָתָהּ וְנִסְכֵּיהֶֽם׃
One kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the sin offering of atonement, and the continual burnt offering, and the meat offering of it, and their drink offerings.

וּשְׂעִיר-עִזִּים אֶחָד חַטָּאת מִלְּבַד עֹלַת הַתָּמִיד מִנְחָתָהּ וְנִסְכָּֽהּ׃
And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.

אֵלֶּה תַּֽעֲשׂוּ לַֽיהוָה בְּמֽוֹעֲדֵיכֶם לְבַד מִנִּדְרֵיכֶם וְנִדְבֹֽתֵיכֶם לְעֹלֹֽתֵיכֶם וּלְמִנְחֹתֵיכֶם וּלְנִסְכֵּיכֶם וּלְשַׁלְמֵיכֶֽם׃
These things ye shall do unto the LORD in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.
וַֽהֲבֵאתֶם שָׁמָּה עֹלֹֽתֵיכֶם וְזִבְחֵיכֶם וְאֵת מַעְשְׂרֹתֵיכֶם וְאֵת תְּרוּמַת יֶדְכֶם וְנִדְרֵיכֶם וְנִדְבֹתֵיכֶם וּבְכֹרֹת בְּקַרְכֶם וְצֹֽאנְכֶֽם׃
And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:
וְהָיָה הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר-יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם בּוֹ לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמוֹ שָׁם שָׁמָּה תָבִיאוּ אֵת כָּל-אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי מְצַוֶּה אֶתְכֶם עוֹלֹֽתֵיכֶם וְזִבְחֵיכֶם מַעְשְׂרֹֽתֵיכֶם וּתְרֻמַת יֶדְכֶם וְכֹל מִבְחַר נִדְרֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר תִּדְּרוּ לַֽיהוָֽה׃
Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:
הִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ פֶּֽן-תַּעֲלֶה עֹֽלֹתֶיךָ בְּכָל-מָקוֹם אֲשֶׁר תִּרְאֶֽה׃
Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:
כִּי אִם-בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר-יִבְחַר יְהוָה בְּאַחַד שְׁבָטֶיךָ שָׁם תַּֽעֲלֶה עֹֽלֹתֶיךָ וְשָׁם תַּֽעֲשֶׂה כֹּל אֲשֶׁר אָֽנֹכִי מְצַוֶּֽךָּ׃
But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.
וְעָשִׂיתָ עֹֽלֹתֶיךָ הַבָּשָׂר וְהַדָּם עַל-מִזְבַּח יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְדַם-זְבָחֶיךָ יִשָּׁפֵךְ עַל-מִזְבַּח יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְהַבָּשָׂר תֹּאכֵֽל׃
And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.
אֲבָנִים שְׁלֵמוֹת תִּבְנֶה אֶת-מִזְבַּח יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְהַֽעֲלִיתָ עָלָיו עוֹלֹת לַֽיהוָה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃
Thou shalt build the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God:

As Moses the servant of the LORD commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of whole stones, over which no man hath lift up any iron: and they offered thereon burnt offerings unto the LORD, and sacrificed peace offerings.
לִבְנוֹת לָנוּ מִזְבֵּחַ לָשׁוּב מֵאַֽחֲרֵי יְהוָה וְאִם-לְהַֽעֲלוֹת עָלָיו עוֹלָה וּמִנְחָה וְאִם-לַֽעֲשׂוֹת עָלָיו זִבְחֵי שְׁלָמִים יְהוָה הוּא יְבַקֵּֽשׁ׃
That we have built us an altar to turn from following the LORD, or if to offer thereon burnt offering or meat offering, or if to offer peace offerings thereon, let the LORD himself require it;
וַנֹּאמֶר נַֽעֲשֶׂה-נָּא לָנוּ לִבְנוֹת אֶת-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ לֹא לְעוֹלָה וְלֹא לְזָֽבַח׃
Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice:
כִּי עֵד הוּא בֵּינֵינוּ וּבֵֽינֵיכֶם וּבֵין דֹּֽרוֹתֵינוּ אַֽחֲרֵינוּ לַֽעֲבֹד אֶת-עֲבֹדַת יְהוָה לְפָנָיו בְּעֹֽלוֹתֵינוּ וּבִזְבָחֵינוּ וּבִשְׁלָמֵינוּ וְלֹֽא-יֹאמְרוּ בְנֵיכֶם מָחָר לְבָנֵינוּ אֵין-לָכֶם חֵלֶק בַּֽיהוָֽה׃
But that it may be a witness between us, and you, and our generations after us, that we might do the service of the LORD before him with our burnt offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to come, Ye have no part in the LORD.
וַנֹּאמֶר וְהָיָה כִּֽי-יֹאמְרוּ אֵלֵינוּ וְאֶל-דֹּֽרֹתֵינוּ מָחָר וְאָמַרְנוּ רְאוּ אֶת-תַּבְנִית מִזְבַּח יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר-עָשׂוּ אֲבוֹתֵינוּ לֹא לְעוֹלָה וְלֹא לְזֶבַח כִּי-עֵד הוּא בֵּינֵינוּ וּבֵֽינֵיכֶֽם׃
Therefore said we, that it shall be, when they should so say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say again, Behold the pattern of the altar of the LORD, which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings, nor for sacrifices; but it is a witness between us and you.
חָלִילָה לָּנוּ מִמֶּנּוּ לִמְרֹד בַּֽיהוָה וְלָשׁוּב הַיּוֹם מֵאַֽחֲרֵי יְהוָה לִבְנוֹת מִזְבֵּחַ לְעֹלָה לְמִנְחָה וּלְזָבַח מִלְּבַד מִזְבַּח יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֲשֶׁר לִפְנֵי מִשְׁכָּנֽוֹ׃
God forbid that we should rebel against the LORD, and turn this day from following the LORD, to build an altar for burnt offerings, for meat offerings, or for sacrifices, beside the altar of the LORD our God that is before his tabernacle.
וּבָנִיתָ מִזְבֵּחַ לַֽיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ עַל רֹאשׁ הַמָּעוֹז הַזֶּה בַּמַּֽעֲרָכָה וְלָֽקַחְתָּ אֶת-הַפָּר הַשֵּׁנִי וְהַֽעֲלִיתָ עוֹלָה בַּֽעֲצֵי הָֽאֲשֵׁרָה אֲשֶׁר תִּכְרֹֽת׃
And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.
וְהָיָה הַיּוֹצֵא אֲשֶׁר יֵצֵא מִדַּלְתֵי בֵיתִי לִקְרָאתִי בְּשׁוּבִי בְשָׁלוֹם מִבְּנֵי עַמּוֹן וְהָיָה לַֽיהוָה וְהַֽעֲלִיתִיהוּ עוֹלָֽה׃
Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD's, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.
וַיֹּאמֶר מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה אֶל-מָנוֹחַ אִם-תַּעְצְרֵנִי לֹֽא-אֹכַל בְּלַחְמֶךָ וְאִם-תַּֽעֲשֶׂה עֹלָה לַֽיהוָה תַּֽעֲלֶנָּה כִּי לֹֽא-יָדַע מָנוֹחַ כִּֽי-מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה הֽוּא׃
And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.
וַתֹּאמֶר לוֹ אִשְׁתּוֹ לוּ חָפֵץ יְהוָה לַֽהֲמִיתֵנוּ לֹֽא-לָקַח מִיָּדֵנוּ עֹלָה וּמִנְחָה וְלֹא הֶרְאָנוּ אֶת-כָּל-אֵלֶּה וְכָעֵת לֹא הִשְׁמִיעָנוּ כָּזֹֽאת׃
But his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have shewed us all these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these.
וַיַּֽעֲלוּ כָל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְכָל-הָעָם וַיָּבֹאוּ בֵֽית-אֵל וַיִּבְכּוּ וַיֵּשְׁבוּ שָׁם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה וַיָּצוּמוּ בַיּוֹם-הַהוּא עַד-הָעָרֶב וַֽיַּעֲלוּ עֹלוֹת וּשְׁלָמִים לִפְנֵי יְהוָֽה׃
Then all the children of Israel, and all the people, went up, and came unto the house of God, and wept, and sat there before the LORD, and fasted that day until even, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
וַֽיְהִי מִֽמָּחֳרָת וַיַּשְׁכִּימוּ הָעָם וַיִּבְנוּ-שָׁם מִזְבֵּחַ וַיַּֽעֲלוּ עֹלוֹת וּשְׁלָמִֽים׃
And it came to pass on the morrow, that the people rose early, and built there an altar, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings.
וְהָֽעֲגָלָה בָּאָה אֶל-שְׂדֵה יְהוֹשֻׁעַ בֵּֽית-הַשִּׁמְשִׁי וַתַּֽעֲמֹד שָׁם וְשָׁם אֶבֶן גְּדוֹלָה וַֽיְבַקְּעוּ אֶת-עֲצֵי הָֽעֲגָלָה וְאֶת-הַפָּרוֹת הֶֽעֱלוּ עֹלָה לַֽיהוָֽה׃
And the cart came into the field of Joshua, a Beth-shemite, and stood there, where there was a great stone: and they clave the wood of the cart, and offered the kine a burnt offering unto the LORD.
וְהַלְוִיִּם הוֹרִידוּ׀ אֶת-אֲרוֹן יְהוָה וְאֶת-הָֽאַרְגַּז אֲשֶׁר-אִתּוֹ אֲשֶׁר-בּוֹ כְלֵֽי-זָהָב וַיָּשִׂמוּ אֶל-הָאֶבֶן הַגְּדוֹלָה וְאַנְשֵׁי בֵֽית-שֶׁמֶשׁ הֶֽעֱלוּ עֹלוֹת וַֽיִּזְבְּחוּ זְבָחִים בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא לַֽיהוָֽה׃
And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Beth-shemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD.
וַיִּקַּח שְׁמוּאֵל טְלֵה חָלָב אֶחָד (ויעלה) וַיַּעֲלֵהוּ עוֹלָה כָּלִיל לַֽיהוָה וַיִּזְעַק שְׁמוּאֵל אֶל-יְהוָה בְּעַד יִשְׂרָאֵל וַֽיַּעֲנֵהוּ יְהוָֽה׃
And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him.
וַיְהִי שְׁמוּאֵל מַֽעֲלֶה הָֽעוֹלָה וּפְלִשְׁתִּים נִגְּשׁוּ לַמִּלְחָמָה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל וַיַּרְעֵם יְהוָה׀ בְּקוֹל-גָּדוֹל בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא עַל-פְּלִשְׁתִּים וַיְהֻמֵּם וַיִּנָּֽגְפוּ לִפְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel.
וְיָֽרַדְתָּ לְפָנַי הַגִּלְגָּל וְהִנֵּה אָֽנֹכִי יֹרֵד אֵלֶיךָ לְהַֽעֲלוֹת עֹלוֹת לִזְבֹּחַ זִבְחֵי שְׁלָמִים שִׁבְעַת יָמִים תּוֹחֵל עַד-בּוֹאִי אֵלֶיךָ וְהֽוֹדַעְתִּי לְךָ אֵת אֲשֶׁר תַּֽעֲשֶֽׂה׃
And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do.
וַיֹּאמֶר שָׁאוּל הַגִּשׁוּ אֵלַי הָֽעֹלָה וְהַשְּׁלָמִים וַיַּעַל הָֽעֹלָֽה׃
And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering.
וַיְהִי כְּכַלֹּתוֹ לְהַֽעֲלוֹת הָֽעֹלָה וְהִנֵּה שְׁמוּאֵל בָּא וַיֵּצֵא שָׁאוּל לִקְרָאתוֹ לְבָֽרְכֽוֹ׃
And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.
וָֽאֹמַר עַתָּה יֵֽרְדוּ פְלִשְׁתִּים אֵלַי הַגִּלְגָּל וּפְנֵי יְהוָה לֹא חִלִּיתִי וָֽאֶתְאַפַּק וָאַֽעֲלֶה הָֽעֹלָֽה׃
Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.
וַיֹּאמֶר שְׁמוּאֵל הַחֵפֶץ לַֽיהוָה בְּעֹלוֹת וּזְבָחִים כִּשְׁמֹעַ בְּקוֹל יְהוָה הִנֵּה שְׁמֹעַ מִזֶּבַח טוֹב לְהַקְשִׁיב מֵחֵלֶב אֵילִֽים׃
And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
וַיָּבִאוּ אֶת-אֲרוֹן יְהוָה וַיַּצִּגוּ אֹתוֹ בִּמְקוֹמוֹ בְּתוֹךְ הָאֹהֶל אֲשֶׁר נָֽטָה-לוֹ דָּוִד וַיַּעַל דָּוִד עֹלוֹת לִפְנֵי יְהוָה וּשְׁלָמִֽים׃
And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
וַיְכַל דָּוִד מֵהַֽעֲלוֹת הָֽעוֹלָה וְהַשְּׁלָמִים וַיְבָרֶךְ אֶת-הָעָם בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה צְבָאֽוֹת׃
And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.
וַיֹּאמֶר אֲרַוְנָה אֶל-דָּוִד יִקַּח וְיַעַל אֲדֹנִי הַמֶּלֶךְ הַטּוֹב (בעינו) בְּעֵינָיו רְאֵה הַבָּקָר לָֽעֹלָה וְהַמֹּֽרִגִּים וּכְלֵי הַבָּקָר לָֽעֵצִֽים׃
And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.
וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶל-אֲרַוְנָה לֹא כִּֽי-קָנוֹ אֶקְנֶה מֵאֽוֹתְךָ בִּמְחִיר וְלֹא אַֽעֲלֶה לַֽיהוָה אֱלֹהַי עֹלוֹת חִנָּם וַיִּקֶן דָּוִד אֶת-הַגֹּרֶן וְאֶת-הַבָּקָר בְּכֶסֶף שְׁקָלִים חֲמִשִּֽׁים׃
And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
וַיִּבֶן שָׁם דָּוִד מִזְבֵּחַ לַֽיהוָה וַיַּעַל עֹלוֹת וּשְׁלָמִים וַיֵּֽעָתֵר יְהוָה לָאָרֶץ וַתֵּֽעָצַר הַמַּגֵּפָה מֵעַל יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.
וַיֵּלֶךְ הַמֶּלֶךְ גִּבְעֹנָה לִזְבֹּחַ שָׁם כִּי-הִיא הַבָּמָה הַגְּדוֹלָה אֶלֶף עֹלוֹת יַֽעֲלֶה שְׁלֹמֹה עַל הַמִּזְבֵּחַ הַהֽוּא׃
And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.
וַיִּקַץ שְׁלֹמֹה וְהִנֵּה חֲלוֹם וַיָּבוֹא יְרֽוּשָׁלִַם וַֽיַּעֲמֹד׀ לִפְנֵי׀ אֲרוֹן בְּרִית-אֲדֹנָי וַיַּעַל עֹלוֹת וַיַּעַשׂ שְׁלָמִים וַיַּעַשׂ מִשְׁתֶּה לְכָל-עֲבָדָֽיו׃
And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.
בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא קִדַּשׁ הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת-תּוֹךְ הֶֽחָצֵר אֲשֶׁר לִפְנֵי בֵית-יְהוָה כִּי-עָשָׂה שָׁם אֶת-הָֽעֹלָה וְאֶת-הַמִּנְחָה וְאֵת חֶלְבֵי הַשְּׁלָמִים כִּֽי-מִזְבַּח הַנְּחֹשֶׁת אֲשֶׁר לִפְנֵי יְהוָה קָטֹן מֵֽהָכִיל אֶת-הָֽעֹלָה וְאֶת-הַמִּנְחָה וְאֵת חֶלְבֵי הַשְּׁלָמִֽים׃
The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brasen altar that was before the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.
וְהֶֽעֱלָה שְׁלֹמֹה שָׁלֹשׁ פְּעָמִים בַּשָּׁנָה עֹלוֹת וּשְׁלָמִים עַל-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ אֲשֶׁר בָּנָה לַֽיהוָה וְהַקְטֵיר אִתּוֹ אֲשֶׁר לִפְנֵי יְהוָה וְשִׁלַּם אֶת-הַבָּֽיִת׃
And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD, and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house.
וּמַֽאֲכַל שֻׁלְחָנוֹ וּמוֹשַׁב עֲבָדָיו וּמַֽעֲמַד (משרתו) מְשָׁרְתָיו וּמַלְבֻּֽשֵׁיהֶם וּמַשְׁקָיו וְעֹלָתוֹ אֲשֶׁר יַֽעֲלֶה בֵּית יְהוָה וְלֹא-הָיָה בָהּ עוֹד רֽוּחַ׃
And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.
וַֽיַּעֲרֹךְ אֶת-הָֽעֵצִים וַיְנַתַּח אֶת-הַפָּר וַיָּשֶׂם עַל-הָֽעֵצִֽים׃ וַיֹּאמֶר מִלְאוּ אַרְבָּעָה כַדִּים מַיִם וְיִֽצְקוּ עַל-הָֽעֹלָה וְעַל-הָֽעֵצִים
And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.
וַתִּפֹּל אֵשׁ-יְהוָה וַתֹּאכַל אֶת-הָֽעֹלָה וְאֶת-הָֽעֵצִים וְאֶת-הָֽאֲבָנִים וְאֶת-הֶֽעָפָר וְאֶת-הַמַּיִם אֲשֶׁר-בַּתְּעָלָה לִחֵֽכָה׃
Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
וַיִּקַּח אֶת-בְּנוֹ הַבְּכוֹר אֲשֶׁר-יִמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו וַיַּֽעֲלֵהוּ עֹלָה עַל-הַחֹמָה וַיְהִי קֶֽצֶף-גָּדוֹל עַל-יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּסְעוּ מֵֽעָלָיו וַיָּשֻׁבוּ לָאָֽרֶץ׃
Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.
וַיֹּאמֶר נַֽעֲמָן וָלֹא יֻתַּן-נָא לְעַבְדְּךָ מַשָּׂא צֶֽמֶד-פְּרָדִים אֲדָמָה כִּי לֽוֹא-יַעֲשֶׂה עוֹד עַבְדְּךָ עֹלָה וָזֶבַח לֵֽאלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים כִּי אִם-לַֽיהוָֽה׃
And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be given to thy servant two mules' burden of earth? for thy servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the LORD.
וַיָּבֹאוּ לַֽעֲשׂוֹת זְבָחִים וְעֹלוֹת וְיֵהוּא שָֽׂם-לוֹ בַחוּץ שְׁמֹנִים אִישׁ וַיֹּאמֶר הָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר-יִמָּלֵט מִן-הָֽאֲנָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי מֵבִיא עַל-יְדֵיכֶם נַפְשׁוֹ תַּחַת נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃
And when they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings, Jehu appointed fourscore men without, and said, If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, he that letteth him go, his life shall be for the life of him.
וַיְהִי כְּכַלֹּתוֹ׀ לַֽעֲשׂוֹת הָֽעֹלָה וַיֹּאמֶר יֵהוּא לָֽרָצִים וְלַשָּֽׁלִשִׁים בֹּאוּ הַכּוּם אִישׁ אַל-יֵצֵא וַיַּכּוּם לְפִי-חָרֶב וַיַּשְׁלִכוּ הָֽרָצִים וְהַשָּׁלִשִׁים וַיֵּֽלְכוּ עַד-עִיר בֵּית-הַבָּֽעַל׃
And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, Go in, and slay them; let none come forth. And they smote them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal.
וַיַּקְטֵר אֶת-עֹֽלָתוֹ וְאֶת-מִנְחָתוֹ וַיַּסֵּךְ אֶת-נִסְכּוֹ וַיִּזְרֹק אֶת-דַּֽם-הַשְּׁלָמִים אֲשֶׁר-לוֹ עַל-הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃
And he burnt his burnt offering and his meat offering, and poured his drink offering, and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings, upon the altar.
(ויצוהו) וַיְצַוֶּה הַמֶּֽלֶךְ-אָחָז אֶת-אֽוּרִיָּה הַכֹּהֵן לֵאמֹר עַל הַמִּזְבֵּחַ הַגָּדוֹל הַקְטֵר אֶת-עֹֽלַת-הַבֹּקֶר וְאֶת-מִנְחַת הָעֶרֶב וְֽאֶת-עֹלַת הַמֶּלֶךְ וְאֶת-מִנְחָתוֹ וְאֵת עֹלַת כָּל-עַם הָאָרֶץ וּמִנְחָתָם וְנִסְכֵּיהֶם וְכָל-דַּם עֹלָה וְכָל-דַּם-זֶבַח עָלָיו תִּזְרֹק וּמִזְבַּח הַנְּחֹשֶׁת יִֽהְיֶה-לִּי לְבַקֵּֽר׃
And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king's burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for me to inquire by.
וְֽאַהֲרֹן וּבָנָיו מַקְטִירִים עַל-מִזְבַּח הָֽעוֹלָה וְעַל-מִזְבַּח הַקְּטֹרֶת לְכֹל מְלֶאכֶת קֹדֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִׁים וּלְכַפֵּר עַל-יִשְׂרָאֵל כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה מֹשֶׁה עֶבֶד הָֽאֱלֹהִֽים׃
But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
וַיָּבִיאוּ אֶת-אֲרוֹן הָֽאֱלֹהִים וַיַּצִּיגוּ אֹתוֹ בְּתוֹךְ הָאֹהֶל אֲשֶׁר נָֽטָה-לוֹ דָּוִיד וַיַּקְרִיבוּ עֹלוֹת וּשְׁלָמִים לִפְנֵי הָֽאֱלֹהִֽים׃
So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.
וַיְכַל דָּוִיד מֵהַֽעֲלוֹת הָֽעֹלָה וְהַשְּׁלָמִים וַיְבָרֶךְ אֶת-הָעָם בְּשֵׁם יְהוָֽה׃
And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.
לְֽהַעֲלוֹת עֹלוֹת לַֽיהוָה עַל-מִזְבַּח הָֽעֹלָה תָּמִיד לַבֹּקֶר וְלָעָרֶב וּלְכָל-הַכָּתוּב בְּתוֹרַת יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה עַל-יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;
וַיֹּאמֶר אָרְנָן אֶל-דָּוִיד קַֽח-לָךְ וְיַעַשׂ אֲדֹנִי הַמֶּלֶךְ הַטּוֹב בְּעֵינָיו רְאֵה נָתַתִּי הַבָּקָר לָֽעֹלוֹת וְהַמּֽוֹרִגִּים לָֽעֵצִים וְהַֽחִטִּים לַמִּנְחָה הַכֹּל נָתָֽתִּי׃
And Ornan said unto David, Take it to thee, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering; I give it all.
וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ דָּוִיד לְאָרְנָן לֹא כִּֽי-קָנֹה אֶקְנֶה בְּכֶסֶף מָלֵא כִּי לֹֽא-אֶשָּׂא אֲשֶׁר-לְךָ לַֽיהוָה וְהַֽעֲלוֹת עוֹלָה חִנָּֽם׃
And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.
וַיִּבֶן שָׁם דָּוִיד מִזְבֵּחַ לַֽיהוָה וַיַּעַל עֹלוֹת וּשְׁלָמִים וַיִּקְרָא אֶל-יְהוָה וַֽיַּעֲנֵהוּ בָאֵשׁ מִן-הַשָּׁמַיִם עַל מִזְבַּח הָֽעֹלָֽה׃
And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.
וּמִשְׁכַּן יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר-עָשָׂה מֹשֶׁה בַמִּדְבָּר וּמִזְבַּח הָֽעוֹלָה בָּעֵת הַהִיא בַּבָּמָה בְּגִבְעֽוֹן׃
For the tabernacle of the LORD, which Moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of the burnt offering, were at that season in the high place at Gibeon.
וַיֹּאמֶר דָּוִיד זֶה הוּא בֵּית יְהוָה הָֽאֱלֹהִים וְזֶה-מִּזְבֵּחַ לְעֹלָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Then David said, This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.
וּלְכֹל הַֽעֲלוֹת עֹלוֹת לַֽיהוָה לַשַּׁבָּתוֹת לֶֽחֳדָשִׁים וְלַמֹּֽעֲדִים בְּמִסְפָּר כְּמִשְׁפָּט עֲלֵיהֶם תָּמִיד לִפְנֵי יְהוָֽה׃
And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD:
וַיִּזְבְּחוּ לַֽיהוָה׀ זְבָחִים וַיַּֽעֲלוּ עֹלוֹת לַֽיהוָה לְֽמָחֳרַת הַיּוֹם הַהוּא פָּרִים אֶלֶף אֵלִים אֶלֶף כְּבָשִׂים אֶלֶף וְנִסְכֵּיהֶם וּזְבָחִים לָרֹב לְכָל-יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:
וַיַּעַל שְׁלֹמֹה שָׁם עַל-מִזְבַּח הַנְּחֹשֶׁת לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר לְאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וַיַּעַל עָלָיו עֹלוֹת אָֽלֶף׃
And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.
הִנֵּה אֲנִי בֽוֹנֶה-בַּיִת לְשֵׁם׀ יְהוָה אֱלֹהָי לְהַקְדִּישׁ לוֹ לְהַקְטִיר לְפָנָיו קְטֹֽרֶת-סַמִּים וּמַֽעֲרֶכֶת תָּמִיד וְעֹלוֹת לַבֹּקֶר וְלָעֶרֶב לַשַּׁבָּתוֹת וְלֶחֳדָשִׁים וּֽלְמוֹעֲדֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ לְעוֹלָם זֹאת עַל-יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.
וַיַּעַשׂ כִּיּוֹרִים עֲשָׂרָה וַיִּתֵּן חֲמִשָּׁה מִיָּמִין וַֽחֲמִשָּׁה מִשְּׂמֹאול לְרָחְצָה בָהֶם אֶת-מַֽעֲשֵׂה הָֽעוֹלָה יָדִיחוּ בָם וְהַיָּם לְרָחְצָה לַכֹּֽהֲנִים בּֽוֹ׃
He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.
וּכְכַלּוֹת שְׁלֹמֹה לְהִתְפַּלֵּל וְהָאֵשׁ יָֽרְדָה מֵֽהַשָּׁמַיִם וַתֹּאכַל הָֽעֹלָה וְהַזְּבָחִים וּכְבוֹד יְהוָה מָלֵא אֶת-הַבָּֽיִת׃
Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.
וַיְקַדֵּשׁ שְׁלֹמֹה אֶת-תּוֹךְ הֶֽחָצֵר אֲשֶׁר לִפְנֵי בֵית-יְהוָה כִּי-עָשָׂה שָׁם הָֽעֹלוֹת וְאֵת חֶלְבֵי הַשְּׁלָמִים כִּֽי-מִזְבַּח הַנְּחֹשֶׁת אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה שְׁלֹמֹה לֹא יָכוֹל לְהָכִיל אֶת-הָֽעֹלָה וְאֶת-הַמִּנְחָה וְאֶת-הַֽחֲלָבִֽים׃
Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brasen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, and the meat offerings, and the fat.
אָז הֶֽעֱלָה שְׁלֹמֹה עֹלוֹת לַֽיהוָה עַל מִזְבַּח יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר בָּנָה לִפְנֵי הָֽאוּלָֽם׃
Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,
וּמַקְטִרִים לַֽיהוָה עֹלוֹת בַּבֹּֽקֶר-בַּבֹּקֶר וּבָעֶֽרֶב-בָּעֶרֶב וּקְטֹֽרֶת-סַמִּים וּמַֽעֲרֶכֶת לֶחֶם עַל-הַשֻּׁלְחָן הַטָּהוֹר וּמְנוֹרַת הַזָּהָב וְנֵֽרֹתֶיהָ לְבָעֵר בָּעֶרֶב בָּעֶרֶב כִּֽי-שֹׁמְרִים אֲנַחְנוּ אֶת-מִשְׁמֶרֶת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ וְאַתֶּם עֲזַבְתֶּם אֹתֽוֹ׃
And they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: the shewbread also set they in order upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but ye have forsaken him.
וַיָּשֶׂם יְהֽוֹיָדָע פְּקֻדּוֹת בֵּית יְהוָה בְּיַד הַכֹּֽהֲנִים הַלְוִיִּם אֲשֶׁר חָלַק דָּוִיד עַל-בֵּית יְהוָה לְֽהַעֲלוֹת עֹלוֹת יְהוָה כַּכָּתוּב בְּתוֹרַת מֹשֶׁה בְּשִׂמְחָה וּבְשִׁיר עַל יְדֵי דָוִֽיד׃
Also Jehoiada appointed the offices of the house of the LORD by the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, as it was ordained by David.
וּֽכְכַלּוֹתָם הֵבִיאוּ לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וִיהֽוֹיָדָע אֶת-שְׁאָר הַכֶּסֶף וַיַּֽעֲשֵׂהוּ כֵלִים לְבֵית-יְהוָה כְּלֵי שָׁרֵת וְהַֽעֲלוֹת וְכַפּוֹת וּכְלֵי זָהָב וָכָסֶף וַיִּֽהְיוּ מַֽעֲלִים עֹלוֹת בְּבֵית-יְהוָה תָּמִיד כֹּל יְמֵי יְהֽוֹיָדָֽע׃
And when they had finished it, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, whereof were made vessels for the house of the LORD, even vessels to minister, and to offer withal, and spoons, and vessels of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of the LORD continually all the days of Jehoiada.
גַּם סָֽגְרוּ דַּלְתוֹת הָֽאוּלָם וַיְכַבּוּ אֶת-הַנֵּרוֹת וּקְטֹרֶת לֹא הִקְטִירוּ וְעֹלָה לֹֽא-הֶעֱלוּ בַקֹּדֶשׁ לֵֽאלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Also they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the holy place unto the God of Israel.
