וּמִנְחָתָם וְנִסְכֵּיהֶם לַפָּרִים לָֽאֵילִם וְלַכְּבָשִׂים בְּמִסְפָּרָם כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃
And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:
וּבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁי פָּרִים עַשְׁתֵּי-עָשָׂר אֵילִם שְׁנָיִם כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר תְּמִימִֽם׃
And on the third day eleven bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish;

וְהִקְרַבְתֶּם עֹלָה אִשֵּׁה רֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַֽיהוָה פַּר אֶחָד אַיִל אֶחָד כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה שִׁבְעָה תְּמִימִֽם׃
But ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: one bullock, one ram, seven lambs of the first year without blemish:
מִנְחָתָם וְנִסְכֵּיהֶם לַפָּר לָאַיִל וְלַכְּבָשִׂים בְּמִסְפָּרָם כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃
Their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullock, for the ram, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:
וְיוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי שַׁבָּת׀ לַֽיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לֹא תַֽעֲשֶׂה כָל-מְלָאכָה אַתָּה וּבִנְךָֽ-וּבִתֶּךָ וְעַבְדְּךָֽ-וַאֲמָתֶךָ וְשֽׁוֹרְךָ וַחֲמֹֽרְךָ וְכָל-בְּהֶמְתֶּךָ וְגֵֽרְךָ אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ לְמַעַן יָנוּחַ עַבְדְּךָ וַאֲמָֽתְךָ כָּמֽוֹךָ׃
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
וְלֹא תַחְמֹד אֵשֶׁת רֵעֶךָ וְלֹא תִתְאַוֶּה בֵּית רֵעֶךָ שָׂדֵהוּ וְעַבְדּוֹ וַֽאֲמָתוֹ שׁוֹרוֹ וַֽחֲמֹרוֹ וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר לְרֵעֶֽךָ׃
Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour's.
זֹאת הַבְּהֵמָה אֲשֶׁר תֹּאכֵלוּ שׁוֹר שֵׂה כְשָׂבִים וְשֵׂה עִזִּֽים׃
These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
כָּֽל-הַבְּכוֹר אֲשֶׁר יִוָּלֵד בִּבְקָֽרְךָ וּבְצֹֽאנְךָ הַזָּכָר תַּקְדִּישׁ לַֽיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לֹא תַֽעֲבֹד בִּבְכֹר שׁוֹרֶךָ וְלֹא תָגֹז בְּכוֹר צֹאנֶֽךָ׃
All the firstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt sanctify unto the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy bullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep.
לֹֽא-תִזְבַּח לַֽיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ שׁוֹר וָשֶׂה אֲשֶׁר יִֽהְיֶה בוֹ מוּם כֹּל דָּבָר רָע כִּי תֽוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ הֽוּא׃
Thou shalt not sacrifice unto the LORD thy God any bullock, or sheep, wherein is blemish, or any evilfavouredness: for that is an abomination unto the LORD thy God.
וְזֶה יִֽהְיֶה מִשְׁפַּט הַכֹּֽהֲנִים מֵאֵת הָעָם מֵאֵת זֹֽבְחֵי הַזֶּבַח אִם-שׁוֹר אִם-שֶׂה וְנָתַן לַכֹּהֵן הַזְּרֹעַ וְהַלְּחָיַיִם וְהַקֵּבָֽה׃
And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.
לֹֽא-תִרְאֶה אֶת-שׁוֹר אָחִיךָ אוֹ אֶת-שֵׂיוֹ נִדָּחִים וְהִתְעַלַּמְתָּ מֵהֶם הָשֵׁב תְּשִׁיבֵם לְאָחִֽיךָ׃
Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.
לֹֽא-תִרְאֶה אֶת-חֲמוֹר אָחִיךָ אוֹ שׁוֹרוֹ נֹֽפְלִים בַּדֶּרֶךְ וְהִתְעַלַּמְתָּ מֵהֶם הָקֵם תָּקִים עִמּֽוֹ׃
Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.
שֽׁוֹרְךָ טָבוּחַ לְעֵינֶיךָ וְלֹא תֹאכַל מִמֶּנּוּ חֲמֹֽרְךָ גָּזוּל מִלְּפָנֶיךָ וְלֹא יָשׁוּב לָךְ צֹֽאנְךָ נְתֻנוֹת לְאֹֽיְבֶיךָ וְאֵין לְךָ מוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃
Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.
בְּכוֹר שׁוֹרוֹ הָדָר לוֹ וְקַרְנֵי רְאֵם קַרְנָיו בָּהֶם עַמִּים יְנַגַּח יַחְדָּו אַפְסֵי-אָרֶץ וְהֵם רִבְבוֹת אֶפְרַיִם וְהֵם אַלְפֵי מְנַשֶּֽׁה׃
His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
וַֽיַּחֲרִימוּ אֶת-כָּל-אֲשֶׁר בָּעִיר מֵאִישׁ וְעַד-אִשָּׁה מִנַּעַר וְעַד-זָקֵן וְעַד שׁוֹר וָשֶׂה וַֽחֲמוֹר לְפִי-חָֽרֶב׃
And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword.
וַיִּקַּח יְהוֹשֻׁעַ אֶת-עָכָן בֶּן-זֶרַח וְאֶת-הַכֶּסֶף וְאֶת-הָֽאַדֶּרֶת וְֽאֶת-לְשׁוֹן הַזָּהָב וְֽאֶת-בָּנָיו וְֽאֶת-בְּנֹתָיו וְאֶת-שׁוֹרוֹ וְאֶת-חֲמֹרוֹ וְאֶת-צֹאנוֹ וְאֶֽת-אָהֳלוֹ וְאֶת-כָּל-אֲשֶׁר-לוֹ וְכָל-יִשְׂרָאֵל עִמּוֹ וַיַּֽעֲלוּ אֹתָם עֵמֶק עָכֽוֹר׃
And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor.
וַיַּֽחֲנוּ עֲלֵיהֶם וַיַּשְׁחִיתוּ אֶת-יְבוּל הָאָרֶץ עַד-בּֽוֹאֲךָ עַזָּה וְלֹֽא-יַשְׁאִירוּ מִֽחְיָה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל וְשֶׂה וָשׁוֹר וַֽחֲמֽוֹר׃
And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.
וַיְהִי בַּלַּיְלָה הַהוּא וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ יְהוָה קַח אֶת-פַּר-הַשּׁוֹר אֲשֶׁר לְאָבִיךָ וּפַר הַשֵּׁנִי שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים וְהָֽרַסְתָּ אֶת-מִזְבַּח הַבַּעַל אֲשֶׁר לְאָבִיךָ וְאֶת-הָֽאֲשֵׁרָה אֲשֶׁר-עָלָיו תִּכְרֹֽת׃
And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:
וּבָנִיתָ מִזְבֵּחַ לַֽיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ עַל רֹאשׁ הַמָּעוֹז הַזֶּה בַּמַּֽעֲרָכָה וְלָֽקַחְתָּ אֶת-הַפָּר הַשֵּׁנִי וְהַֽעֲלִיתָ עוֹלָה בַּֽעֲצֵי הָֽאֲשֵׁרָה אֲשֶׁר תִּכְרֹֽת׃
And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.
וַיַּשְׁכִּימוּ אַנְשֵׁי הָעִיר בַּבֹּקֶר וְהִנֵּה נֻתַּץ מִזְבַּח הַבַּעַל וְהָֽאֲשֵׁרָה אֲשֶׁר-עָלָיו כֹּרָתָה וְאֵת הַפָּר הַשֵּׁנִי הֹֽעֲלָה עַל-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ הַבָּנֽוּי׃
And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.
וַתַּֽעֲלֵהוּ עִמָּהּ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר גְּמָלַתּוּ בְּפָרִים שְׁלֹשָׁה וְאֵיפָה אַחַת קֶמַח וְנֵבֶל יַיִן וַתְּבִאֵהוּ בֵית-יְהוָה שִׁלוֹ וְהַנַּעַר נָֽעַר׃
And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of the LORD in Shiloh: and the child was young.
וַֽיִּשְׁחֲטוּ אֶת-הַפָּר וַיָּבִאוּ אֶת-הַנַּעַר אֶל-עֵלִֽי׃
And they slew a bullock, and brought the child to Eli.
הִנְנִי עֲנוּ בִי נֶגֶד יְהוָה וְנֶגֶד מְשִׁיחוֹ אֶת-שׁוֹר׀ מִי לָקַחְתִּי וַֽחֲמוֹר מִי לָקַחְתִּי וְאֶת-מִי עָשַׁקְתִּי אֶת-מִי רַצּוֹתִי וּמִיַּד-מִי לָקַחְתִּי כֹפֶר וְאַעְלִים עֵינַי בּוֹ וְאָשִׁיב לָכֶֽם׃
Behold, here I am: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.
וַיֹּאמֶר שָׁאוּל פֻּצוּ בָעָם וַֽאֲמַרְתֶּם לָהֶם הַגִּישׁוּ אֵלַי אִישׁ שׁוֹרוֹ וְאִישׁ שְׂיֵהוּ וּשְׁחַטְתֶּם בָּזֶה וַֽאֲכַלְתֶּם וְלֹֽא-תֶחֶטְאוּ לַֽיהוָה לֶֽאֱכֹל אֶל-הַדָּם וַיַּגִּשׁוּ כָל-הָעָם אִישׁ שׁוֹרוֹ בְיָדוֹ הַלַּיְלָה וַיִּשְׁחֲטוּ-שָֽׁם׃
And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people, and say unto them, Bring me hither every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and slay them here, and eat; and sin not against the LORD in eating with the blood. And all the people brought every man his ox with him that night, and slew them there.
עַתָּה לֵךְ וְהִכִּיתָה אֶת-עֲמָלֵק וְהַֽחֲרַמְתֶּם אֶת-כָּל-אֲשֶׁר-לוֹ וְלֹא תַחְמֹל עָלָיו וְהֵֽמַתָּה מֵאִישׁ עַד-אִשָּׁה מֵֽעֹלֵל וְעַד-יוֹנֵק מִשּׁוֹר וְעַד-שֶׂה מִגָּמָל וְעַד-חֲמֽוֹר׃
Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
וְאֵת נֹב עִיר-הַכֹּֽהֲנִים הִכָּה לְפִי-חֶרֶב מֵאִישׁ וְעַד-אִשָּׁה מֵֽעוֹלֵל וְעַד-יוֹנֵק וְשׁוֹר וַֽחֲמוֹר וָשֶׂה לְפִי-חָֽרֶב׃
And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword.
וַיְהִי כִּי צָֽעֲדוּ נֹֽשְׂאֵי אֲרוֹן-יְהוָה שִׁשָּׁה צְעָדִים וַיִּזְבַּח שׁוֹר וּמְרִֽיא׃
And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.
וַיִּזְבַּח שׁוֹר וּֽמְרִיא-וְצֹאן לָרֹב וַיִּקְרָא לְכָל-בְּנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וּלְאֶבְיָתָר הַכֹּהֵן וּלְיֹאָב שַׂר הַצָּבָא וְלִשְׁלֹמֹה עַבְדְּךָ לֹא קָרָֽא׃
And he hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the host: but Solomon thy servant hath he not called.
כִּי׀ יָרַד הַיּוֹם וַיִּזְבַּח שׁוֹר וּֽמְרִיא-וְצֹאן לָרֹב וַיִּקְרָא לְכָל-בְּנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וּלְשָׂרֵי הַצָּבָא וּלְאֶבְיָתָר הַכֹּהֵן וְהִנָּם אֹֽכְלִים וְשֹׁתִים לְפָנָיו וַיֹּאמְרוּ יְחִי הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲדֹֽנִיָּֽהוּ׃
For he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the king's sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.
וְיִתְּנוּ-לָנוּ שְׁנַיִם פָּרִים וְיִבְחֲרוּ לָהֶם הַפָּר הָֽאֶחָד וִֽינַתְּחֻהוּ וְיָשִׂימוּ עַל-הָעֵצִים וְאֵשׁ לֹא יָשִׂימוּ וַֽאֲנִי אֶֽעֱשֶׂה׀ אֶת-הַפָּר הָֽאֶחָד וְנָֽתַתִּי עַל-הָעֵצִים וְאֵשׁ לֹא אָשִֽׂים׃
Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under:
וַיֹּאמֶר אֵֽלִיָּהוּ לִנְבִיאֵי הַבַּעַל בַּֽחֲרוּ לָכֶם הַפָּר הָֽאֶחָד וַֽעֲשׂוּ רִֽאשֹׁנָה כִּי אַתֶּם הָֽרַבִּים וְקִרְאוּ בְּשֵׁם אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם וְאֵשׁ לֹא תָשִֽׂימוּ׃
And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.
וַיִּקְחוּ אֶת-הַפָּר אֲשֶׁר-נָתַן לָהֶם וַֽיַּעֲשׂוּ וַיִּקְרְאוּ בְשֵׁם-הַבַּעַל מֵֽהַבֹּקֶר וְעַד-הַצָּֽהֳרַיִם לֵאמֹר הַבַּעַל עֲנֵנוּ וְאֵין קוֹל וְאֵין עֹנֶה וַֽיְפַסְּחוּ עַל-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ אֲשֶׁר עָשָֽׂה׃
And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.
וַֽיַּעֲרֹךְ אֶת-הָֽעֵצִים וַיְנַתַּח אֶת-הַפָּר וַיָּשֶׂם עַל-הָֽעֵצִֽים׃ וַיֹּאמֶר מִלְאוּ אַרְבָּעָה כַדִּים מַיִם וְיִֽצְקוּ עַל-הָֽעֹלָה וְעַל-הָֽעֵצִים
And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.
וַֽיְהִי בֶּעְזֹר הָֽאֱלֹהִים אֶת-הַלְוִיִּם נֹֽשְׂאֵי אֲרוֹן בְּרִית-יְהוָה וַיִּזְבְּחוּ שִׁבְעָֽה-פָרִים וְשִׁבְעָה אֵילִֽים׃
And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
וַיִּזְבְּחוּ לַֽיהוָה׀ זְבָחִים וַיַּֽעֲלוּ עֹלוֹת לַֽיהוָה לְֽמָחֳרַת הַיּוֹם הַהוּא פָּרִים אֶלֶף אֵלִים אֶלֶף כְּבָשִׂים אֶלֶף וְנִסְכֵּיהֶם וּזְבָחִים לָרֹב לְכָל-יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:
הֲלֹא הִדַּחְתֶּם אֶת-כֹּֽהֲנֵי יְהוָה אֶת-בְּנֵי אַֽהֲרֹן וְהַלְוִיִּם וַתַּֽעֲשׂוּ לָכֶם כֹּֽהֲנִים כְּעַמֵּי הָֽאֲרָצוֹת כָּל-הַבָּא לְמַלֵּא יָדוֹ בְּפַר בֶּן-בָּקָר וְאֵילִם שִׁבְעָה וְהָיָה כֹהֵן לְלֹא אֱלֹהִֽים׃
Have ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods.
וַיָּבִיאוּ פָרִים-שִׁבְעָה וְאֵילִים שִׁבְעָה וּכְבָשִׂים שִׁבְעָה וּצְפִירֵי עִזִּים שִׁבְעָה לְחַטָּאת עַל-הַמַּמְלָכָה וְעַל-הַמִּקְדָּשׁ וְעַל-יְהוּדָה וַיֹּאמֶר לִבְנֵי אַֽהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֲנִים לְהַֽעֲלוֹת עַל-מִזְבַּח יְהוָֽה׃
And they brought seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven he goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah. And he commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the altar of the LORD.
כִּי חִזְקִיָּהוּ מֶֽלֶךְ-יְהוּדָה הֵרִים לַקָּהָל אֶלֶף פָּרִים וְשִׁבְעַת אֲלָפִים צֹאן וְהַשָּׂרִים הֵרִימוּ לַקָּהָל פָּרִים אֶלֶף וְצֹאן עֲשֶׂרֶת אֲלָפִים וַיִּֽתְקַדְּשׁוּ כֹֽהֲנִים לָרֹֽב׃
For Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.
הַבָּאִים מֵֽהַשְּׁבִי בְנֵֽי-הַגּוֹלָה הִקְרִיבוּ עֹלוֹת׀ לֵֽאלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל פָּרִים שְׁנֵים-עָשָׂר עַל-כָּל-יִשְׂרָאֵל אֵילִים׀ תִּשְׁעִים וְשִׁשָּׁה כְּבָשִׂים שִׁבְעִים וְשִׁבְעָה צְפִירֵי חַטָּאת שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר הַכֹּל עוֹלָה לַֽיהוָֽה׃
Also the children of those that had been carried away, which were come out of the captivity, offered burnt offerings unto the God of Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel, ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs, twelve he goats for a sin offering: all this was a burnt offering unto the LORD.
וַֽאֲשֶׁר הָיָה נַֽעֲשֶׂה לְיוֹם אֶחָד שׁוֹר אֶחָד צֹאן שֵׁשׁ-בְּרֻרוֹת וְצִפֳּרִים נַֽעֲשׂוּ-לִי וּבֵין עֲשֶׂרֶת יָמִים בְּכָל-יַיִן לְהַרְבֵּה וְעִם-זֶה לֶחֶם הַפֶּחָה לֹא בִקַּשְׁתִּי כִּֽי-כָֽבְדָה הָֽעֲבֹדָה עַל-הָעָם הַזֶּֽה׃
Now that which was prepared for me daily was one ox and six choice sheep; also fowls were prepared for me, and once in ten days store of all sorts of wine: yet for all this required not I the bread of the governor, because the bondage was heavy upon this people.
הֲיִֽנְהַק-פֶּרֶא עֲלֵי-דֶשֶׁא אִם יִגְעֶה-שּׁוֹר עַל-בְּלִילֽוֹ׃
Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over his fodder?
שׁוֹרוֹ עִבַּר וְלֹא יַגְעִל תְּפַלֵּט פָּרָתוֹ וְלֹא תְשַׁכֵּֽל׃
Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
חֲמוֹר יְתוֹמִים יִנְהָגוּ יַחְבְּלוּ שׁוֹר אַלְמָנָֽה׃
They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
וְעַתָּה קְחֽוּ-לָכֶם שִׁבְעָֽה-פָרִים וְשִׁבְעָה אֵילִים וּלְכוּ׀ אֶל-עַבְדִּי אִיּוֹב וְהַעֲלִיתֶם עוֹלָה בַּֽעַדְכֶם וְאִיּוֹב עַבְדִּי יִתְפַּלֵּל עֲלֵיכֶם כִּי אִם-פָּנָיו אֶשָּׂא לְבִלְתִּי עֲשׂוֹת עִמָּכֶם נְבָלָה כִּי לֹא דִבַּרְתֶּם אֵלַי נְכוֹנָה כְּעַבְדִּי אִיּֽוֹב׃
Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
סְבָבוּנִי פָּרִים רַבִּים אַבִּירֵי בָשָׁן כִּתְּרֽוּנִי׃
Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
לֹא-אֶקַּח מִבֵּיתְךָ פָר מִמִּכְלְאֹתֶיךָ עַתּוּדִֽים׃
I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.
אָז תַּחְפֹּץ זִבְחֵי-צֶדֶק עוֹלָה וְכָלִיל אָז יַעֲלוּ עַל-מִזְבַּחֲךָ פָרִֽים׃
Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
וְתִיטַב לַֽיהוָה מִשּׁוֹר פָּר מַקְרִן מַפְרִֽיס׃
This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
וַיָּמִירוּ אֶת-כְּבוֹדָם בְּתַבְנִית שׁוֹר אֹכֵל עֵֽשֶׂב׃
Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.
הוֹלֵךְ אַחֲרֶיהָ פִּתְאֹם כְּשׁוֹר אֶל-טָבַח יָבֹא וּכְעֶכֶס אֶל-מוּסַר אֱוִֽיל׃
He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;
בְּאֵין אֲלָפִים אֵבוּס בָּר וְרָב-תְּבוּאוֹת בְּכֹחַ שֽׁוֹר׃
Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
טוֹב אֲרֻחַת יָרָק וְאַהֲבָה-שָׁם מִשּׁוֹר אָבוּס וְשִׂנְאָה-בֽוֹ׃
Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
יָדַע שׁוֹר קֹנֵהוּ וַחֲמוֹר אֵבוּס בְּעָלָיו יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא יָדַע עַמִּי לֹא הִתְבּוֹנָֽן׃
The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
לָמָּה-לִּי רֹב-זִבְחֵיכֶם יֹאמַר יְהוָה שָׂבַעְתִּי עֹלוֹת אֵילִים וְחֵלֶב מְרִיאִים וְדַם פָּרִים וּכְבָשִׂים וְעַתּוּדִים לֹא חָפָֽצְתִּי׃
To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
וְכֹל הֶהָרִים אֲשֶׁר בַּמַּעְדֵּר יֵעָדֵרוּן לֹֽא-תָבוֹא שָׁמָּה יִרְאַת שָׁמִיר וָשָׁיִת וְהָיָה לְמִשְׁלַח שׁוֹר וּלְמִרְמַס שֶֽׂה׃
And on all hills that shall be digged with the mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of lesser cattle.
אַשְׁרֵיכֶם זֹרְעֵי עַל-כָּל-מָיִם מְשַׁלְּחֵי רֶֽגֶל-הַשּׁוֹר וְהַחֲמֽוֹר׃
Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass.
וְיָרְדוּ רְאֵמִים עִמָּם וּפָרִים עִם-אַבִּירִים וְרִוְּתָה אַרְצָם מִדָּם וַעֲפָרָם מֵחֵלֶב יְדֻשָּֽׁן׃
And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.
שׁוֹחֵט הַשּׁוֹר מַכֵּה-אִישׁ זוֹבֵחַ הַשֶּׂה עֹרֵֽף כֶּלֶב מַעֲלֵה מִנְחָה דַּם-חֲזִיר מַזְכִּיר לְבֹנָה מְבָרֵֽךְ אָוֶן גַּם-הֵמָּה בָּֽחֲרוּ בְּדַרְכֵיהֶם וּבְשִׁקּוּצֵיהֶם נַפְשָׁם חָפֵֽצָה׃
He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
חִרְבוּ כָּל-פָּרֶיהָ יֵרְדוּ לַטָּבַח הוֹי עֲלֵיהֶם כִּֽי-בָא יוֹמָם עֵת פְּקֻדָּתָֽם׃
Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.
וּדְמוּת פְּנֵיהֶם פְּנֵי אָדָם וּפְנֵי אַרְיֵה אֶל-הַיָּמִין לְאַרְבַּעְתָּם וּפְנֵי-שׁוֹר מֵֽהַשְּׂמֹאול לְאַרְבַּעְתָּן וּפְנֵי-נֶשֶׁר לְאַרְבַּעְתָּֽן׃
As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
בְּשַׂר גִּבּוֹרִים תֹּאכֵלוּ וְדַם-נְשִׂיאֵי הָאָרֶץ תִּשְׁתּוּ אֵילִים כָּרִים וְעַתּוּדִים פָּרִים מְרִיאֵי בָשָׁן כֻּלָּֽם׃
Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
וְנָתַתָּה אֶל-הַכֹּהֲנִים הַלְוִיִּם אֲשֶׁר הֵם מִזֶּרַע צָדוֹק הַקְּרֹבִים אֵלַי נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה לְשָֽׁרְתֵנִי פַּר בֶּן-בָּקָר לְחַטָּֽאת׃
And thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that be of the seed of Zadok, which approach unto me, to minister unto me, saith the Lord GOD, a young bullock for a sin offering.
וְלָקַחְתָּ אֵת הַפָּר הַֽחַטָּאת וּשְׂרָפוֹ בְּמִפְקַד הַבַּיִת מִחוּץ לַמִּקְדָּֽשׁ׃
Thou shalt take the bullock also of the sin offering, and he shall burn it in the appointed place of the house, without the sanctuary.
וּבַיּוֹם הַשֵּׁנִי תַּקְרִיב שְׂעִיר-עִזִּים תָּמִים לְחַטָּאת וְחִטְּאוּ אֶת-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ כַּאֲשֶׁר חִטְּאוּ בַּפָּֽר׃
And on the second day thou shalt offer a kid of the goats without blemish for a sin offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as they did cleanse it with the bullock.
בְּכַלּוֹתְךָ מֵֽחַטֵּא תַּקְרִיב פַּר בֶּן-בָּקָר תָּמִים וְאַיִל מִן-הַצֹּאן תָּמִֽים׃
When thou hast made an end of cleansing it, thou shalt offer a young bullock without blemish, and a ram out of the flock without blemish.
שִׁבְעַת יָמִים תַּעֲשֶׂה שְׂעִיר-חַטָּאת לַיּוֹם וּפַר בֶּן-בָּקָר וְאַיִל מִן-הַצֹּאן תְּמִימִים יַעֲשֽׂוּ׃
Seven days shalt thou prepare every day a goat for a sin offering: they shall also prepare a young bullock, and a ram out of the flock, without blemish.
כֹּה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה בָּֽרִאשׁוֹן בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ תִּקַּח פַּר-בֶּן-בָּקָר תָּמִים וְחִטֵּאתָ אֶת-הַמִּקְדָּֽשׁ׃
Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the first month, in the first day of the month, thou shalt take a young bullock without blemish, and cleanse the sanctuary:
וְעָשָׂה הַנָּשִׂיא בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא בַּעֲדוֹ וּבְעַד כָּל-עַם הָאָרֶץ פַּר חַטָּֽאת׃
And upon that day shall the prince prepare for himself and for all the people of the land a bullock for a sin offering.
וְשִׁבְעַת יְמֵֽי-הֶחָג יַעֲשֶׂה עוֹלָה לַֽיהוָה שִׁבְעַת פָּרִים וְשִׁבְעַת אֵילִים תְּמִימִם לַיּוֹם שִׁבְעַת הַיָּמִים וְחַטָּאת שְׂעִיר עִזִּים לַיּֽוֹם׃
And seven days of the feast he shall prepare a burnt offering to the LORD, seven bullocks and seven rams without blemish daily the seven days; and a kid of the goats daily for a sin offering.
וּמִנְחָה אֵיפָה לַפָּר וְאֵיפָה לָאַיִל יַֽעֲשֶׂה וְשֶׁמֶן הִין לָאֵיפָֽה׃
And he shall prepare a meat offering of an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and an hin of oil for an ephah.
וּבְיוֹם הַחֹדֶשׁ פַּר בֶּן-בָּקָר תְּמִימִם וְשֵׁשֶׁת כְּבָשִׂים וָאַיִל תְּמִימִם יִהְיֽוּ׃
And in the day of the new moon it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish.
וְאֵיפָה לַפָּר וְאֵיפָה לָאַיִל יַעֲשֶׂה מִנְחָה וְלַכְּבָשִׂים כַּאֲשֶׁר תַּשִּׂיג יָדוֹ וְשֶׁמֶן הִין לָאֵיפָֽה׃
And he shall prepare a meat offering, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs according as his hand shall attain unto, and an hin of oil to an ephah.
וּבַחַגִּים וּבַמּוֹעֲדִים תִּהְיֶה הַמִּנְחָה אֵיפָה לַפָּר וְאֵיפָה לָאַיִל וְלַכְּבָשִׂים מַתַּת יָדוֹ וְשֶׁמֶן הִין לָאֵיפָֽה׃
And in the feasts and in the solemnities the meat offering shall be an ephah to a bullock, and an ephah to a ram, and to the lambs as he is able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah.
אִם-גִּלְעָד אָוֶן אַךְ-שָׁוְא הָיוּ בַּגִּלְגָּל שְׁוָרִים זִבֵּחוּ גַּם מִזְבְּחוֹתָם כְּגַלִּים עַל תַּלְמֵי שָׂדָֽי׃
Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.
קְחוּ עִמָּכֶם דְּבָרִים וְשׁוּבוּ אֶל-יְהוָה אִמְרוּ אֵלָיו כָּל-תִּשָּׂא עָוֹן וְקַח-טוֹב וּֽנְשַׁלְּמָה פָרִים שְׂפָתֵֽינוּ׃
Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
