Quench not the Spirit.

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Σκληροτράχηλοι καὶ ἀπερίτμητοι τῇ καρδίᾳ καὶ τοῖς ὠσίν ὑμεῖς ἀεὶ τῷ πνεύματι τῷ ἁγίῳ ἀντιπίπτετε ὡς οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν καὶ ὑμεῖς
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
δι' ἣν αἰτίαν ἀναμιμνῄσκω σε ἀναζωπυρεῖν τὸ χάρισμα τοῦ θεοῦ ὅ ἐστιν ἐν σοὶ διὰ τῆς ἐπιθέσεως τῶν χειρῶν μου
Wherefore I in remembrance put thee that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
μὴ ἀμέλει τοῦ ἐν σοὶ χαρίσματος ὃ ἐδόθη σοι διὰ προφητείας μετὰ ἐπιθέσεως τῶν χειρῶν τοῦ πρεσβυτερίου
Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
וְהֵמָּה מָרוּ וְעִצְּבוּ אֶת-רוּחַ קָדְשׁוֹ וַיֵּהָפֵךְ לָהֶם לְאוֹיֵב הוּא נִלְחַם-בָּֽם׃
But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.
וַתִּמְשֹׁךְ עֲלֵיהֶם שָׁנִים רַבּוֹת וַתָּעַד בָּם בְּרֽוּחֲךָ בְּיַד-נְבִיאֶיךָ וְלֹא הֶֽאֱזִינוּ וַֽתִּתְּנֵם בְּיַד עַמֵּי הָֽאֲרָצֹֽת׃
Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands.
אַל-תַּשְׁלִיכֵנִי מִלְּפָנֶיךָ וְרוּחַ קָדְשְׁךָ אַל-תִּקַּח מִמֶּֽנִּי׃
Cast away me not from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה לֹֽא-יָדוֹן רוּחִי בָֽאָדָם לְעֹלָם בְּשַׁגַּם הוּא בָשָׂר וְהָיוּ יָמָיו מֵאָה וְעֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָֽה׃
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
ἐὰν δὲ ἄλλῳ ἀποκαλυφθῇ καθημένῳ ὁ πρῶτος σιγάτω
If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the hold his first peace.
ἐπὶ πᾶσιν ἀναλαβόντες τὸν θυρεὸν τῆς πίστεως ἐν ᾧ δυνήσεσθε πάντα τὰ βέλη τοῦ πονηροῦ τὰ πεπυρωμένα σβέσαι·
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
מַיִם רַבִּים לֹא יֽוּכְלוּ לְכַבּוֹת אֶת-הָֽאַהֲבָה וּנְהָרוֹת לֹא יִשְׁטְפוּהָ אִם-יִתֵּן אִישׁ אֶת-כָּל-הוֹן בֵּיתוֹ בָּאַהֲבָה בּוֹז יָבוּזוּ לֽוֹ׃
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
וַיַּעַשׂ שְׁמוּאֵל אֵת אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָה וַיָּבֹא בֵּית לָחֶם וַיֶּֽחֶרְדוּ זִקְנֵי הָעִיר לִקְרָאתוֹ וַיֹּאמֶר שָׁלֹם בּוֹאֶֽךָ׃
And Samuel did that which the LORD spake, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?
