Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

ὁ δὲ θεὸς τῆς εἰρήνης συντρίψει τὸν Σατανᾶν ὑπὸ τοὺς πόδας ὑμῶν ἐν τάχει ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ μεθ' ὑμῶν ἀμήν.
And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

ῥίζα γὰρ πάντων τῶν κακῶν ἐστιν ἡ φιλαργυρία ἧς τινες ὀρεγόμενοι ἀπεπλανήθησαν ἀπὸ τῆς πίστεως καὶ ἑαυτοὺς περιέπειραν ὀδύναις πολλαῖς
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some after, coveted they have erred from the faith, and pierced through themselves with many sorrows.
ὧν τινες ἀστοχήσαντες ἐξετράπησαν εἰς ματαιολογίαν
From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
Ὁ ἀσπασμὸς τῇ ἐμῇ χειρὶ Παύλου μνημονεύετέ μου τῶν δεσμῶν ἡ χάρις μεθ' ὑμῶν ἀμήν

καὶ μὴ εἰσενέγκῃς ἡμᾶς εἰς πειρασμόν ἀλλὰ ῥῦσαι ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ τοῦ πονηροῦ ὅτι σοῦ ἐστιν ἡ βασιλεία καὶ ἡ δύναμις καὶ ἡ δόξα εἰς τοῦς αἰῶνας ἀμήν
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Ἀσπάζονταί σε οἱ μετ' ἐμοῦ πάντες Ἄσπασαι τοὺς φιλοῦντας ἡμᾶς ἐν πίστει ἡ χάρις μετὰ πάντων ὑμῶν ἀμήν.
All are that with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.
ἔχων πίστιν καὶ ἀγαθὴν συνείδησιν ἥν τινες ἀπωσάμενοι περὶ τὴν πίστιν ἐναυάγησαν
Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Γάϊος ὁ ξένος μου καὶ τῆς ἐκκλησίας ὅλης ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Ἔραστος ὁ οἰκονόμος τῆς πόλεως καὶ Κούαρτος ὁ ἀδελφός
Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.
Σκιὰν γὰρ ἔχων ὁ νόμος τῶν μελλόντων ἀγαθῶν οὐκ αὐτὴν τὴν εἰκόνα τῶν πραγμάτων κατ' ἐνιαυτὸν ταῖς αὐταῖς θυσίαις ἃς προσφέρουσιν εἰς τὸ διηνεκὲς οὐδέποτε δύναται τοὺς προσερχομένους τελειῶσαι·
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make thereunto the comers perfect.
